  1. Happy Birthday fella
  2. I have just realised that Macmillans trade stand for this years JAE is 12m x 6m and so this wont really be suitable.
  3. A quick question: On the pics it shows that the 3m section opens up. Can the thing be turned sideways and have both 3m ends closed and the 6m part open?
  4. Interested of Macmillan here! Let me speak to the charity and see what they are saying. I cannot get hold of my contact today as she is away but will do tomorrow.
  5. Thank you Gareth. I will have a look once I get out of the hospital where I have been waiting since 10 for my 10.30 appointment!
  6. I have a friend of mine who has a Renault scenic that (in her words) has a rattling exhaust that is driving her batty. I have told her to take it to the local Kwik Fit place but she is worried they will rip her off. Is there anyone close who could have a quick look for her or can you recommend a garage that can give her some sound advice? Many thanks.
  7. Would you consider it to be as essential on my project - the MR2?
  8. Hopefully (if I can get enough sponsorship), I will be in a position quite soon whereby I will need to choose an ECU for the MAC 1 project. As it is for a 4-cylinder MR2 (or a possible V6 with turbo attached or a MR2 engine with large turbo swapped) as opposed to the 3 litre Supra engine, I am wondering if the Syvecs (as wonderful as it sounds) would be overkill? As you can tell, I have been away from the scene for so long I am pretty much a nooby now.
  9. If you take into account all the necessary add ons needed, what is the unit cost difference between a Syvecs and the F-con?

    Macmillan certificates

I think the top level is run quite well but it is at the grass roots level the problems occur. Lots of well meaning amateurs who voluntarily give up their time do not make for a good professionally run experience.
  11. Hiya folks I took these off a recently fitted MR2 Turbo engine when it was swapped to me MR2 NA but since then the speedo has not been reading properly. The model numbers are SLD = SLT1-00962 and the FCD = FST - 007372 Does anyone know of any links out there to instruction manuals / fitting guides?

It would seem that they managed to get this one right then! To be honest, working with them is a nightmare. For such a big organisation they are really unprofessional. They are brilliant at organising coffee mornings at the local church halls but once someone like me comes along and talks about larger scale opportunities, it frightens them and takes them completely out of their comfort zone!
  13. Ashford hotel place sold. Any offer now taken on rail and Holland hotel. Like I say, anything is better than nothing.
  14. As someone who lived in Greece for several years I can appreciate what you say about them being loud. I have never heard a louder race anywhere. Hell, they even whisper loudly!!!

    Well done Man City

Don't speak too soon as your lot could do the same when they celebrate winning the....oh, erm...the....

    Well done Man City

Interestingly, according to Talksport today, if you looked at both starting line ups on Sunday, the total cost of transfer fees for Man Utd was 9 million more than that of Man City.

Nice one folks. It's always nice to get a bit of recognition eh?

Good news! I just wanted to make sure they had arrived before chasing them up at the next meeting.

    Warm welcome

That's a good user name friend. I'm after a v6 Camry engine for my mr2 to enable a swap too.
  20. I recently asked for addresses of those who sponsored the raffle draw by way of prizes as Macmillan wanted to send out thank you certificates. Did any of you receive them?
  21. That's what I thought too nod. Easier for me to source a v6 Camry I think. GLWS though - great buy for someone.

    turbo refurbish

I would be very wary of buying second hand stock turbos. Out of the frying pan and into the fire?
