  1. Thanks for the advice chaps - I'll have a look and report back with some pictures this afternoon.
  2. I find the germans depreciate the hardest, perhaps due to their strong retail prices, there are, of course, exceptions to this like Land Rover and McLaren.
  3. All german brands, bar certain Porsches, have a tendency to depreciate like rocks falling from a cliff.
  4. Update: The floormat I had removed from the passenger side footwell has a slightly sweet smell; however, having driven the car this afternoon, albeit without using the AC, I can confirm that there was absolutely no signs of a leak!! From my understanding then, this does cast some doubt over the theory that it may be the heater matrix as one would expect it to leak, whether or not the AC is in use?
  5. Have a look at carwow and drive the deal.
  6. Going single from a TT is roughly around £10k in parts and labour. Not sure if the same applies to NA builds...
  7. I've personally never seen a car with a washer fluid bag, so it was surprising to me. As for the silicone-transmission situation, the box was flushed and thoroughly cleaned before the new sump was installed. Luckily, no metal or silicone residue was found.
  8. The wheels on my LSD TT6 spin in the same direction. Though, the open diff on my single auto causes the back wheels to spin in opposite directions. Not really sure about other manufacturers or alternative types of differentials?
  9. So, following a subsequent visit, here is an update, in the same order: 1- the strong smell of fuel was due to a split fuel return pipe in to the fuel pressure regulator. This has now been replaced and I am pleased to report that the cabin no longer carries the intoxicating odour of unburnt fuel! 2- the intercooler has been realigned and fixed using the correct brackets. 3- the car needs a remap as it is running way too rich, possibly due to the cold weather. 4- a breather pipe has been installed to help let the engine breathe. 5- these have been repositioned and replaced. 6- the top of the wastegate was completely loose, this has now been tightened. 7- a new bracket for the engine oil dipstick has been fabricated and installed. 8- a fabricated tank is currently work in progress... 9- TBC.
  10. Jack the back wheels up and turn one of the wheels, if the other wheel turns in the same direction, you have an LSD.
  11. Lovely!! I probably ought to give him a precautionary heads up, does Jezz have a garage or does he do this sort of thing as a hobby?
  12. That's what the OP on that DIY thread stated... how long do you reckon it would take?
  13. It's a 3 hour job according to that DIY thread... So that's £333.33/hr...

    Z4 M40i

Agreed. That chassis is clearly made for the Z4.
  15. I don't know whether that's favourable or unfavourable? Lol
  16. I don't think this is the type of thing I'd be comfortable attempting on my drive...
  17. That's not too bad for a big heavy SUV to be fair...
  18. Ok, thanks chaps. Will have a look over the weekend and report back...
