The government also made it abundantly clear and set out 4 very strict exemptions to the 'stay at home lock down'. For the avoidance of doubt, these exemptions are:
1. Shopping for essential necessities, as infrequently as possible.
2. Doing one form of exercise per day.
3. For a medical need or to look after a vulnerable person.
4. To travel to and from work, but only where that is absolutely necessary and cannot be done from home.
Now, unless I have missed something blatantly obvious, none of these exemptions would apply to this apparently quite unnecessary and avoidable journey. One cannot rely on the defence that one's very specific example hasn't been specifically outlawed in the face of the very strict exemptions set out by the government above.
