  1. Agreed. I can’t think of any car with a similar pedigree, and cult following, that has appreciated but then suffered depreciation again. Unless driven by an external force (economic turmoil) of course, which as you say, affects everything across the board. I also can’t think of another car from the era that can still ‘hang’ with the best picks from this day and age.
  2. Not to mention the legendary Datsun rust. By the time those cars hit the age of some of our ‘93 Supras, there will be hardly anything left of them... well, at least then they may stand a chance with such an improved power to weight ratio. I guess you could say they lose weight faster than they lose horsepower...
  3. Not long before they start advertising them as “POA” too...
  4. Plenty of cars selling at full asking price.
  5. This is much needed going forward. Though, if I can speak candidly, the club's ‘approved’ insurers are no longer competitive. Insurers like Reis are now so far ahead in the game, as many have recently found, in terms of price and, above all, customer service. Could we perhaps consider approaching them in order to stay ahead of the curve?
  6. As long as you don’t think they’re actually better in any way...
  7. The grass is always greener on the other side. I’m not trying to have a dig at you, but have you actually ever driven one bud? I drove a few before settling on my first Supra (and again recently) and I can’t think of one area where the R34 GTR excels the Supra, aside from production numbers, but we are (unfortunately) rapidly catching up. Sit back, relax and enjoy the appreciation ride.
  8. Whatever you want it to be. But as of today, £50k+ isn’t far-fetched.
  9. I’m afraid you’re going to have to “mess” with ethanol at some point if you’re chasing four figures... Only reason I ask “what your budget is”, is in consideration of the sort of build your looking for, people will likely be looking for somewhere in the region of the £60k-£80k mark. Anything pitched below that should raise alarm bells in this current market.
  10. That’s an 83mm turbo capable of around 1400whp... What’s your budget?
  11. Not too far from London. It’s a runway, but obviously a level playing field as all cars (all RWD) will be on the same surface. People can of course warm up their tyres if they so wish.
  12. Whilst I may agree with you, this is the requirement that has been cascaded down to me... I am but a messenger. I’m sure not everyone builds museum pieces! Lol
  13. Some of us actually enjoy driving our cars.
  14. Not sure bud. Reach out to Darren at Magnum Performance.
  15. Time to dust off the cobwebs... Do you have a ~750bhp Supra? Fancy featuring it in a drag race against an equally powered BMW M2 Competition and a J29 “MK5” Supra on the grandest automotive platform in the world? Provisionally, this is pencilled in for 10 May! Drop me a PM or comment below if you’re interested.
  16. Did he edit his car ahead of your R1?!
  17. Ditto, I’d even race him in my little BMW M2C...
  18. Any MKIV Supra content is more than welcome!!
  19. They’re always trending on one hashtag or another to be fair, but that’s to be expected as they are now the largest automotive channel in the world. Hats off to Mat and the two Sams for pulling it off!
  20. I don’t believe he’s a member of the forum.
  21. Sure, if I get an invite, or two...
  22. Mat is an undercover Supra fan. Big time.
  23. Any car with a “Wrench Studios” sticker on it is an immediate red flag. I genuinely hope he’s not giving that poor thing to those amateurs to build.
