  1. You could try using a hairdryer. It doesnt have to get that hot.
  2. The clue is in the word gently. Hold a screwdriver in the screw and give it some light tension to undo. Heat the base of the rubber up gently and it will come undone. If you dont warm them up you will round the screws off..........like you have. For the sake of 20 quid why not just do them properly?
  3. You need to warm them up gently with a heat gun to free off the threadlock on the screws before you try to undo them. aif you dont, you awill more than likely round the heads off.
  4. Thanks for the info. Off now to watch the last 30 mins of the Cup Final in HD
  5. You will find the first year is a blinding deal, come renewal it is a different story. It was way cheaper for me to take out 3 separate policies in the second year, even though the supra is still with Admiral on a single car policy.
  6. Thanks everyone for their kind comments and taking the time to look. Hi Scooter - hope all is good with you! I'm looking to move to Scotland at the end of the year so I'm trying to cut the fleet down from 3 to 1. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to keep the Supra though, I dont know if I could find another one like this. I had it made by a local company who mainly do upholstery for boats, they charged me about £50 for it.
  7. 1993 Toyota Supra GZ Auto in Storm Blue I bought this car from JIC in July 2001 with 32000 on the clock. The mileage is now 52000. It has been very lightly used, never in winter or bad weather, and has been kept garaged and covered. It has full service history, main dealer since I have had it. The car still has the original factory exhaust fitted with both cats, and has never been run over stock boost. Work carried out within the last 100 miles includes: ‘B’ Service and Cam Belt – Dingles Toyota Lowestoft Air Conditioning Service – Dingles Toyota Lowestoft 4 Wheel Alignment Check – SCS Norwich 4 New Bridgestone RE050 Tyres New Battery Will come with 12 months MOT GZ spec on the car with: Active front spoiler Black Leather Seats 7 speaker stereo system Cruise Control Passenger Airbag Traction Control Climate Control Thatcham Cat 1 alarm + two sets of keys + certificate UK Spec Stereo + original Jap unit Toyota chrome dash Rings New OEM black mats + set in photos Original Toyota tool kit Pete Betts delimeter Pete Betts fog light conversion in rear lights Toyota rear number plate surrounds UK spec brakes all round OEM 17’’ wheels with facelift centrecaps Toyota locking wheel nuts Goodridge braided brake hoses Castrol SRF brake fluid Clear side markers + orange originals The car drives perfectly, has been meticulously maintained, and comes with a folder full of service history, instruction books, and all the old MOT’s since import. It’s very rare, nowadays to find an example of a totally stock Supra, especially with this mileage and in this condition. Private plate is not included in sale – car will revert to 1993 registration number. £6500 Mobile 07789 721285
  8. Your £200 tyres from Germany are more than likely off a car that has been shunted and written off over there. They may look ok, but could have suffered damage to the structure of the tyre which may not be visible. Of course they could be fine but that's the chance you take fitting used tyres. There's no way I would use them.
  9. I used to work on these things back in the day, though in 91 I was with a team running Reynard DFV's. Surprised to see that there are still some of these about, as they were 'pre plank' days and we used to run them very low and the chassis used to take an awful beating over the kerbs. Cracked and damaged tubs used to be very common, usually round the bulkheads and floor area. Also, we only used to run them for one season as we used to get new cars every year, though there was a British F2 series for older cars, and the Japanese would run these as well. Good luck with it Chris, would like to see it in action one day
  10. More likely to be lift at the front
  11. I'd have a serious look round for any accident damage or replaced parts. Also, even if the geometry looks ok, I would give it a proper 4 wheel alignment. Although you have swapped the wheels, have a close check of the tyre pressures.
  12. Where are you in Suffolk? I've one you can have in Storm Blue. £25
  13. Wednesday 5.15 Champion Bumper Serious attempt to win this from Dermot Weld with RITE OF PASSAGE, bringing in Irish Champion Flat Jockey Pat Smullen to do the steering. Currently available around the 5/1 mark. Each way fans may want to have a look at Meath All Star at about 16's. Master Minded should stroll home at around 4/11
  14. Maybe you should have posted this one up as your tip (before it ran)
  15. Only 2 favourites won last year and 4 the year before, so it should be like shooting fish in a barrel for the favourite layers (then again, it might not be )
  16. Anyone going or following it this year? Will be there on Friday for the Gold Cup but it looks like a great 4 days racing. Supreme Novices, Arkle and Champion Hurdle tomorrow and maybe a bit of rain thrown in overnight. Good luck to all with a vested interest
  17. Get a proper 4 wheel alignment done. Worked for me
  18. Gunmetal was for facelifts only, so no UK cars in that colour. I believe there are a few in MSB though.
  19. You may find that they will only replace the wheel and bumper with stock items. Check your policy.
  20. What do you reckon the bill from Whifbitz will be?
  21. Feel very sorry for Max Clifford. He must be devastated at the last hurrah of one of the cash cows
  22. Kubica - for me the best by far last year.
