  1. bromy what kind of hp are you running with yoursetup??? Tried the car again today with the missing link removed, didnt run overly well due to just throwing some rough figures in that area of the map to make it safer but didnt throw up the engine check light as it used to so i think were onto a winner now
  2. ye was a good turnout as usual, but parking seemed a little more difficult last night. Its also dawned on me that as long as ive been going to mascrat ive only met a few of you off here really, as many supras that were there last night i only really spoke to ian and gareth.
  3. this is another thing that been bothering me. as i said before when i first had the conversion done my car was showing the engine check light when under positive boost. When i get round to fitting the greddy 3 bar sensor do i need to leave my missing link inline with the original map so it continues to not see positive boost???
  4. I think it can read a little positive boost but im unsure as to how much before the ecu throws a wobbler. Anybody out there able to shed some light on the subject for us???
  5. im not entirely sure im just going by what they told us that night. they were ready to have the car recovered, luckily we were only a few mile from the lads house and he had all his documents there though. It could just be a case of the police trying to look more powerful than they are though.
  6. The whole database system sucks in my opinion, A friend of mine got stopped one night because the police said his car wasnt insured, in the end the policeman had to drive the car back to the lads house so he could show him the documents. The part i dont like is that they have the power to take the car away there and then and even if you stroll in the following day and prove you were insured at the time they still land recovery bills and storage on you.
  7. i wondered that but didnt want to do anything without seeking advice first. Will removing the missing link give me a larger map to play with on the e manage as it stands now its not using the complete 16x16 map
  8. how do people get round the map sensor seeing positive boost and throwing up the check engine light??? I am currently running a missing link inline with the map sensor at the minute just wondering if there was any ways around this?

    Na-t

you shouldnt have to much trouble at 300hp, the car will remian very driveable at that.
  10. its a ct26 off a earlier supra on custom manifold and piping
  11. my injectors started giving trouble at 1bar of boost but seemed to keep up ok before that.
  12. i ordered a passenger side hub from them a couple of years back. Super fast delivery and no problems with parts, well apart from the fact they sent me drivers side. lol
  13. as has been said 550s are overkill, even on a basic na-t setup your 330s should be able to keep up.
  14. thanks for the help guys, will look into that later ricky.
  15. Ive recently recieved my e manage software and was all set for getting my friend to map the car, my problem lies in that my laptop has gone sick and its not likely to be repairable. Between my family and friends we have plenty of laptops but none have a serial port on the back like my own does. So i guess my question is do i have to use the lead supplied with the software (meaning i need a new laptop with serial port) or can i use a normal USB - USB cable and use another laptop. Any help or suggestions appreciated. Thanks in Advance, Rob

    NA tuning

best bet is to get someone to fabricate you one, its not a big job and while there at it they could weld some fittings on to connect your vacuum and breather pipes.

    NA tuning

I bought my na for the simple reason that i could not afford the tt when i was looking for a supra, its true ive probably spent more now than what i could of bought a tt for BUT i havent had to spend a big wad of cash in one go, it`s been a gradual process and over the few years of ownership ive managed to get tt power out of my na + plenty more potential. Ive posted this very question myself in the early stages of ownership (not on this site but others) and i have had the very responses you talk of, some are all in good humour, some more serious but dont let it put you off, as you say a decent exhaust system with both cats removed will be a help and the heat shield a must if your going to run aftermarket filters, also try finding someone who can fabricate you a custom intake pipe and remove those 2 horrible silencer boxes, i noticed a difference when i done this to mine. removing the aircon and viscous fan will take a bit of load of the engine but dont expect huge noticeable power gains from this. I think 300hp is a little out of reach without mega bucks like some have said but getting a bit extra out your n/a shouldnt be to much of a problem.
  18. i had estimated 300-350fwhp as we knew the car was in desperate need of a map so im not that dissapointed really. the aim of me running today was to get some figures and to work from there and we achieved that Checked mine for oil leaks before we left and mine seems to be clean underneath so that rules me out for the phantom oil leak. Once again a good day and nice to meet some new faces and some old ones.
  19. was a good day sorry i couldnt stay longer but we had to shoot back to carry on with tims car. was fairly pleased with my result even though the car was running lean it means theres plenty of potential when it has been mapped
