SOLD, SOLD, SOLD! Sold it last night I'm afraid folks! Am gutted that it's gone so cheaply, but glad I can now concentrate on the house for a few months. (I should be getting a completion date in the next few days) I'm hoping I'll be back for more Supra fun in the future, but who knows! I'm not saying a proper goodbye, as I'll still be lurking about!

Sorry Dave, was at the cinema last night and didn't get your message till late. I'm at work now till 4pm, then at a course from 6-9pm tonight, but I'll give you a call this morning if you want? Just PM me a convenient time.
-
Haha, probably! I'm sure people assume it's cheap for a reason - IT IS!! I need the money for a deposit!! I've got someone coming to see it on Wednesday. If they don't leave a deposit, or take it away, it will definitely be going on eBay (I know, I know, I keep saying it!) Haven't had time to do it today anyway...been so bloody busy at work lately

Why isn't she wearing the hat!? (my girlfriend's bought it from Ann Summers too!) Also, does she still have the black fishnets that came with it!? Haha
-
Yes...I'd love to sell it, however my weekend doesn't revolve around checking the site. I did check Saturday afternoon but nothing from you. I spent Saturday & Sunday moving all my gear out of my old place into my girlfriends, so only have internet at work now until I'm in the new house (hopefully 2-3 weeks) I've PM'd you my number. If you're genuinely interested give me a call.

Right folks. The interested party has had some problems and hasn't come back to look at it today, so it's definitely going on eBay Monday morning. Would I be better off listing it as a classified item, or an actual auction with a reserve?
-
Very nice (although I would say that, as mine's despoilered too!)
-
I've got a TT for sale, for £4,995 & live in Gosport (in Hampshire also) if you want to check out the difference in performance to an NA! Check my sig for details...

Yes he did - thanks for that mate. I think he's coming to take another look today.

Damn, cheaper than mine!!

Sounds very interesting, although the front room isn't particualrly large so not sure it would work out. What distance would it need to be from the screen / wall to get a 6ft image? That would be quality! Although it would be no good for the Wii, as you'd be standing in front of the projector. Some pics would definitely be appreciated. Is it simply a case of plugging your freeview/cable box into the projector then? Hmm, that's what I feared. I thought it wouldn't be too bad though, being a Sony Bravia

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I'd be using it for standard TV, DVD & a Nintendo Wii, so nothing too fancy. Possibly for a PC/PS3/360 in the future. I don't know if it's 100Mhz processing or not yet. Is that the minimum you'd need? Do you have a link to the AV forums please? I suppose £80 for 3 years warranty isn't too bad, but you get a years warranty normally anyway don't you?

I've seen the following two TV's selling for £499 new, so was thinking of buying one for my new house when I move in. Is there anyone in the know, who knows what to look out for? Which is the better TV, which has a better picture, which would last longer etc etc Also, is there any better TV's around for similar money!? They are Sony 40" Freeview HD Ready LCD TV KDL40U3000U Up to 7000:1 dynamic contrast ratio 1366 x 768 resolution Dolby virtual HDMI x 2 Twin Cart Sockets Optional Extended Warranty (3 years from purchase) £79.99 AND Philips 42" Freeview HD Ready Plasma TV 42PFP5532D 1500 CD/M, 15000:1 contrast ratio 1024 x 768 WXGA resolution Pixel Plus HD 3ms response time Twin HDMI Optional Extended Warranty (3 years from purchase) £199.99 Thanks for your help...

It is still for sale yes. However - I've just had someone come look at it on Sunday, who's checking out a few things & coming back to view on Thursday / Friday, that's why it hasn't gone on eBay yet. I'll be a bit gutted (in a sense) if buys it, as he lives local & I bet I'd see him burning round in it with a big grin on his face, whereas I'd be trying to keep up on my 250cc scooter I've got as a runaround!

Anyone interested in this might want to be quick, as I'll be putting it on eBay this weekend and maybe back in the Autotrader at the reduced price as well.
-
Compare it to this car, and you'll know if you're getting a bargain http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=126348

Yes it is. Good point, maybe I should take a photo of that and the back seats etc.

The bonnet isn't black, it's carbon fibre - which I think is a sort of black/grey/green mesh type colour! (OK,OK I guess saying black is easier!) The front wheels are quite shabby, that's why I've said in the advert they will need a refurb.
-
Please note I have dropped the price and made a new advert for this here.... so please disregard this thread

Drove 530 miles in a Luton van yesterday, and I was constantly checking my mirrors to be aware of traffic when I could see slow moving traffic ahead that I might need to overtake. Occasionally I'd have to check out the window to be 100% sure there was nobody sitting in my blind spot. I don't think there's an excuse for not realising there's someone there in your blindspot. You should be aware of what's happening around you. I think a lot of people (not just van drivers) just focus on what's in front of them and that's it, which is dangerous. However, the biker in me thinks that cars (even Supras!) shouldn't be sitting next to a van, where the driver might not be able to see you. Especially if you're too close to the car in front to be able to safely go past the van. I always find it safer if there's traffic in front, rather than go right up close behind it, to put myself in a position than can be clearly seen by the traffic in the inside lanes - even if it means "losing" out on a few places every now and then!

One of my mates has sent me another pic of the interior he took (before he emigrated to Australia a few weeks ago jammy sod!)

This Sunday, I am driving from Portsmouth to Melton Mowbray (Leicester), then to Stowmarket (Suffolk), then back to Portsmouth again. If anyone is after this, they could meet me en-route.
