Dear Mr Levy
The Premier League have considered your application to replay the
game against West Ham and unfortunately have rejected the application due
to the effect of what is commonly known as "bad karma". No doubt you
remember in the game against Arsenal where you thought it appropriate to
continue playing despite two Arsenal players being injured and then
instead of playing by the spirit of the game and kicking the ball into
touch, your players chose to seek advantage of your opponent's misfortune.
What happened to you at weekend appears to be payback of that
incident in the form of karma. No doubt you are frustrated at what appeared to
be a chance to have a more successful season than your more illustrious
neighbours for the first time since Adam was a lad, but that does not
change the position of the committee.
Maybe, in future, you will re-consider the win at all costs attitude
your club has as ultimately, what goes around or comes around, or in
your case, goes through.
Kind Regards
David Dein
