  1. How many wiring looms do you need to order with the genuine Toyota facelift indicators? Ive read somewhere that you get one wiring loom with the indicators and you only need to order one extra loom. Is this right or do i need 2 x looms?
  2. I know that but have you checked the fronts are both assembled correctly? If one of those has the spring seat upside down, that will cause the car to be higher on one side than the other.
  3. Have you checked the fronts are fitted correctly? If one of those has the spring seat upside down it will hold the car up on one side. A clear picture of all 4 shocks fitted to the car would help.
  4. Correct the collars are upside down in the pic. The wider part has to be at the bottom so that the bump stop can sit on it. These collars do not affect ride height whatsoever. The shorter ones are for the fronts.
  5. Your wiper seal has moved to the top of the shock rod directly under the spacer. This is because you have no top plate on the shock body to hold it in place. Whoever fitted those from new should never touch a spanner ever again! You really should have a bump stop, its there in case you hit some big hole in the road otherwise the top mount could strike the top of the shock absorber but highly unlikely except in extreme circumstances.
  6. You do need the spacers no matter what set up you are using otherwise the top mount will not tighten up and will knock like crazy on every bump. There is nothing in the Bilstein instructions that suggests leaving them out.
  7. Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up sticking with the 030 and got this one for the bargain price of 50 quid through a guy i know that owns a garage and managed blag ECP. https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/lion-030-car-battery-3-year-guarantee-444770301 For future reference for anybody looking for a new battery, it fits the tray and clamps down fine and is a hefty 600 CCA. It is quite heavy though. Starter motor turned faster than ive ever heard it turn and the windows go up faster now.
  8. My Battery is dying after 3/4 days since it started to go a bit cooler. I dont suspect a current drain as it was fine all over summer and ive not touched any of the electrics. Im thinking the battery is just at the end of its life. Ive got an 030 Battery on now and was going to go for the same as it fits perfect and is 500+ CCA. Is there a better battery option that fits straight in? Im not really interested in performance batteries or super duper calcium latest tech etc. I just want the most powerful standard battery that doesnt cost the earth.
  9. Silver ones are faster! I'm from Wigan.
  10. Yes the spring seat in the picture is installed upside down. I'm surprised it hasnt pushed the circlip out of its seat and collapsed. Dont drive it until it's fixed. . I'd put money on the other side being the right way. Once you turn it round, it should lower it by about an inch. It will also make the other side go down slightly too as this bad side will be holding the other side up slightly. The car will then be level.
  11. Break it. Less availability means value of them will increase for us owners.
  12. LOL, i think i know who you are talking about. Where abouts in Lancashire are you? Im also in Lancs and have a silver Supra.
  13. Spring seat is installed the wrong way around. Thats your problem right there. You also need a new dust cover otherwise those Bilsteins are going to be leaking in no time.
  14. Hmm, I cant say I really noticed a difference in height on each side. It was just mega low at the front and mega high at the rear. The only thing that can alter the ride height is either the spring itself or the distance from bolt eye to lower spring mounting on the shock absorber being different. Check you've not fitted one of the lower spring seats the wrong way around as that would cause the car to sit higher on that side.
  15. Mine went like this when i fitted new rubbers. Take the bottom rubber off the side thats too high and enlarge the uppermost part of the two screw holes. You now should be able to position the rubber slightly lower and the boot should then sit lower on that side as a result.
  16. Can you post a pic of your ride height after fitting?
  17. Yours is sitting exactly as mine did before i sent the Bilsteins back for the circlip grooves re-machined. I dont care what anybody tries to tell me, there is a problem with Bilsteins on certain Supras. I had mine off and on the car so many times the damn things were dizzy. They wont be fitted wrong, theres a problem somewhere. Speak to Sam or Louis at Bilstein. They will re-machine the circlip grooves for you. You need the fronts 10mm up and the rears 12mm down so that the distance from the bottom bolt eye to lower spring seat is the same as the standard Toyota shocks.
  18. I just dont use it when the roads have been gritted and wet, then again i dont usually use it if the roads are wet in summer. IF the roads are dry and have not been gritted ill take it out in winter but i have some special anti corrosion liquid mixed up in a big 6lt pressure sprayer that i spray underneath before i put it back in the garage.
  19. Am i the only one that keeps looking at this post and just does not understand it? Of course the prices will go up. Supra is a legendary car that is becoming harder to find a good one. Why would prices not go up? These sort of cars do not have a book price. They are worth whatever the seller is happy to sell for and whatever the buyer is happy to pay. The only thing holding prices from really sky rocketing is the fact that there are still a few 6K sheds knocking about.
  20. Id rather the Supra become worthless than remain. Who in the right mind would ever want a foreign power to have the ruling hand over your own country, Supra or no Supra.
  21. I think a really good condition stockish NA auto with less than 100k on the clock will be 10K within a year or two. The laws of supply and demand will see prices keep rising as they will always be in demand and there is becoming less and less of them. We need to get more of the 6K sheds off the road as they hold the prices of the good cars down.
  22. Personally im not a fan of Supras in red and i usually love red cars. I dont know what it is but i think red seems to make them look tacky. I think the best colour for Supras is white or black.
