  1. alright thanks for that post helped alot
  2. yes thats exactly what im saying, there are cars up for sale in that price range that are not even close to my car. With regards to "preventative maintenance" i was about to start spending and then someone hit me and i profited 6k so speculate to accumulate means nothing. Yes the car is full of parts from 1993 and when something is fault it will be replaced with OEM just like my alternator was. I didn't underseal the car to make money i did it to protect the subframe because i live in Cornwall and i don't want a rust bucket in 12 months, i didn't do it to up the value of the car.... I don't control the market nor do you i was just looking for friendly advice on what other people think my car might be worth so i can use their opinions as a guideline. if you are not going contribute to my question please don't bother posting anymore. Thanks
  3. Then i would be about 7 grand off the market i was hit last year and was given 18k for a 95 tt auto with no mods and 95k miles. So i would be asking for even less then what the insurers class as "market value"
  4. I brought the car pretty much as it is all i've done to it is put a new alternator in, replaced the fuel lines and under sealed it.
  5. That's fine with 22k being a completely stock car but as you can see my car is far from stock hence why im asking for advice.
  6. I'm insured with Adrian flux and looking to get an agreed value but with the way the prices of supras keeps changing. I don't know how much I should be asking The car is a 94 TT Auto Jspec BPU 84k miles Thanks

  14. Not look for any convereted cars. Thanks
  15. I picked my last one up for 12 and I didn't think it was a bad buy, but with the recent push in prices it pushes me away. As much as I love the car I find it hard to warrant its current value. You can pick up a R8, DB9 or a GTR for the going rates on TT6s. I'm hoping no work at all, the supra bogie sold looked immaculate. There is a resprayed blue bpu tt auto on Facebook for 17k just needs oil stem seals.
  16. Looking for a TT auto not much on PH and Ebay just wondering if there are any hidden around here. Cheers

    Advice Needed

My work colleague drives a Gt86 and it's slower then my old 51 plate celica so I would avoid them like the plague. If I spend 5k on a car now I know I'm gonna lose on the sale in future. If I had a NA and someone in a astra did me on the A30 that would be it lol...

    Advice Needed

If i still had the car most likely no i wouldn't be selling, as my wife knows a supra is my dream car as hers is just a work horse/family car for the future, but now its arrived at this i wouldn't feel its fair forcing my hand to spend all our money on a TT, and making her sell her car. As for the thought process it was only a week after my crash that the bank told us we were getting 10k less then originally stated so it wasn't a problem before.

It's about price again for the cost of NA-T I'd rather spend the extra thousand or two and get a real TT. Just don't have the money for this at the moment.

    Advice Needed

yeah they are but my price range is prob going to be like 10k and the 8k going into savings for our house, if i got another TT for 18k we would be moving in with literally nothing in the bank.

    Advice Needed

So last month i was involved in an accident in which my supra was a cat B write off, my insurance is paying me 18k for the car, but now i am about to finish the purchase of a house with my wife and we pushed our budget to get it, and we ideally would like something in the bank for a rainy day or house renovations. She drives a 63 plate XC60 D5 and i am currently car less waiting for my settlement, her car is a huge part of her daily life as she is a care manager and spends a lot of time driving, so it would make more sense for me to not get another TT Auto, rather then her sell the volvo. I have no idea what to get the market is getting crazy again and i honestly don't know if i could go to a NA after having a TT, i still want something Japanese and decent. Do i bite the bullet or be sensible... the only other car i ever considered before i brought my TT supra was an Evo 8 MR but the all the expenses that come with owning one baffle me, the main killer being the £555 road tax and 4k servicing intervals, i really do want another supra but i don't want to get the NA and then start disliking it because of the lack of power and personally i don't think NA is what supras are about my TT was exciting to drive and really fun.
  22. I was in a accident last night with another vehicle, my supra is irreparable and now I have the issue of my insurers to deal with as its a write off. They want my local garage to send photos and estimated valuation figures but I've been advised to ask toyota to value it themselves. The car is a 95 TT Jspec auto, 92k on the clock. The only changes I had were UK brakes, a mishimoto radiator and my alloys. Has anyone got experience of valuators and salvaging any useable parts?
  23. My 26s said they would clear the calipers but didn't clear the front ones, so had to put on 20mm spacers.
