I am lookinG to purchase an Emanage, associated Harnesses and the Profec E01 for my J-Spec TT. Looking on the net, america seems very cheap for these parts I would be grateful if someone could answer the following queries. 1) Can anyone recommend an oversee dealer for these parts 2) I know these parts are available for the TT whether it is UK, J-Spec or US etc but are they all the same part number, i.e same spec unit for all models. 3) is it definitely cheaper to import these across or do you get stung on shipping,VAT etc. I think thats it but if I have missed anything that you think I should consider before purchasing these parts from oversees please let me know. many thanks

What was the first thing you bought for your Supra?

Nurspec R and 2nd Cat Pipe - what a DIFFERENCE -
Thanks m8 for the info, I have also spoke to Chris Wilson said the T-IV ATF will be fine for the PAS. This ATF is expensive and used by alot of Auto drivers for their transmission. I hope this should be fine for my PAS and will probably be better than the Dexron 3 that it recommends on the Cap. Obviously the T-IV ATF wasn't available back in 1994. Cheers, are you at Pod tomorrow? if so i hope to meet you.

Thanks for the reply m8, what are we saying then, the Toyota t-IV ATF should be okay for the Power steering!
-
Come on guys and girls ,plenty of views but no answers. Can anyone answer this dilema? Calling all technical wizards - HELP NEEDED
-
I need to top up my power steering fluid, I was going to ust the TOYOTA T- IV ATF that I use when changing my automatic Tranmsmission fluid. Wiil this be compatiable or do I need to use Dexron 3 ATF as it states on the cap. I assume that the Type IV is an upgrade of the type 3 but I need this confirmed before I top up. Cheers

yeh thats right, maybe I'll pic you all up on the way through. I think everyone from the south is meeting at Junction 14, it would be cool if we could all meet up for 1 big convoy.
-
Thanks Jusie, are you carrying on down the m1 passed Junction 16 and 15, if so I can pick the Convoy up there as I live in Northampton. Cheers
-
Tell me your joking, looks like I will be the only representative for the club then, oh well never mind. On a more serious note, is there a meeting point arranged for people travelling from the North and if so when and where. It will be the M1 but at what junction for the final convoy to Pod? Cheers
-
Not sure if I missed it but are we all meeting up on Sunday to convoy down to Pd. If so where an when, is it at Junction 15 of the M1? DOES ANYONE KNOW?
-
For those who are going on Sunday, are we all meeting up at J15 of the M1. I have'nt read anything to that effect but thats what happened for Billing Cheers

I was hoping someone could answer this question for me. Why does my Suprs make slightly more boost when the OD switch is on. (Using the 4 gears) When I am using the 4th Gear the car peak boost is about 1.3bar.which gave me a little cause for concern. However when the car was dynoed today the boost peaked at 1.2bar and would not go any higher. When the dyno was done they only use the 3 gears with the OD off. Is there any reason for this or is my Soop just different. Obviously the car has reached 1.3 bar driving on the roads so would this make a differnce compared to a dyno test.

Thanks everyone for all the info, so I probably need to get my AFR lowered slightly just to be on the safe side. Ok what is the best way to do this? 1) Option 1 - Adjustable FSE 2) Option 2 - SAFC 3) Option 3 - 650cc injectors together with an SAFC to stop the car being rich at idle. Comments/opinions please. I would like to say money is no option but it is but saying that I am thinking in the long term I will probably purchase Hybrid Turbos so what would be the best option with and without these on the Soop? I dont want to purchase an FSE now if I would need to enlarge the injectors or fit an SAFC in the future when Hybrids go on. Likewise I dont want to purchase an SAFC/Injectors if they are not necessary. I am thinking of stages and eventually I would like to purchase hybrids and probably run abit more than 1.2bar. Thanks

Dont worry Jake for the misi nformation. Can someone do me a favour, come around and tell my missus that I need a SAFC. i dont want the headache. Only kidding, Terry do Vortex sell the SAFC, how much arew they and what sort of price am I looking at for supply, fit and setup? Thanks

Can anyone shed any light why I would get the lean spot from 5100rpm to 5500rpm (AFR of 12 - 12.3) Thereafter from 5500rpm - 6500rpm+ the AFR drops back down 11.8. It is only for this 400revs that the AFR raises to above 12. Before 5100rpm my AFR is at is a little rich, at 4000 - 4250rpm, 11.01 (possible due to walbro fuel pump) After 4250 it is between 11.25 - 11.8 all the way until 5100rpm. The only problem I seem to have is from 5100 - 5500rpm where it is 12 - 12.3 AFR I am awre that I may need to get some adjustments done to lower the AFR between this period. Would you recommend an FSE or equivalent piece of kit. Does the FSE only raise fuel pressure when boost raises requires extra fuel so I wont be running rich at lower boost or a idle revs? I hope this makes sense. Thanks
-
Terry, please elaborate on this please regarding colder weather. My AFR is above 11.75 from 4750rpm peaking at 12.3 at 5500rpm. At 5500rpm it drops back down to 11.8 but my bhp does not peak until 5750rpm. However my torque peaks at 5200rpm which is there or there abouts where I get this leaner spot. Does this sound drastic or okay?
-
Jake Thanks for the info, that is a relief. At 12.3 they could not hear any detonation so that reinforces what you have said about an AFR of 12.3 being fine. Thanks mate, you have saved me some money and a headache from the missus as I was looking to purchase an SAFC or at least an FSE. Cheers

Sorry I meant 371 rhhp not rwhp

I have recently had my 1st Cat took out, fitted a Restrictor ring and had water injection fitted all by Chris Wilson. Today I went to Thor Racing to have the car dynoed and check the fuelling was safe. I was pleasantly surprised that my RWHP has risen from 325 to 371RWHP and my torque has increased from 330 - 339LB. Not bad for stock twins running at 1.2bar. My only concern was my AFR, the curve is good until about 4700rpm where it goes from 11.6 steadily climbing peaking at 12.3 at 5500rpm. At 5500rpm it then drops back down to 11.8. Thor Racing told me that they could'nt hear any detonation but I am now thinking I need a fuel computer to smooth out this lean spot or at the very least an FSE to increase the fuel pressure so this lean spot is removed. the AFR actually goes above 12 from 5100rpm to 5500rpm, do I need to be worried or is this ok. Since I now have added torque and BHP I want to enjoy the car but want to enjoy it safely. I already have cooler plugs, CW SMIC, Uprated fuel pump and water injection so I thought I would be pretty safe but I would appreciate your opinions on this. Thanks
-
Well i have just increased the size diameter from 2" (when measured in mm it was actually 52mm). At this diameter the car was making 1bar. I have increased the diameter to 56mm and have just too the supra for a spin. The car is now making 1.2bar, I know that this might creep above this when the weather is cooler but I am not worried as I tend to drive calmer when the weather is cold as the road conditions usually are bad at this time aswell. Also I am hoping with the CW SMIC, uprated fuel pump and water injection I will be a little bit safer so if it does creep up to 1.3 bar I should still be safe.
-
Homer I will post up the results and size diameter that I went for. I am looking at approx 55mm to hopefully achieve 1.15bar. I'll let you know how I get on.
-
Hi Homer Yeh I know what you are saying but at present my boost is making only 1 bar with the 2". I want to increase the diameter only a bit to try increase the boost to ideally 1.1 - 1.2bar. I am aware that come the colder weather I may experience 1.3bar or higher but will I have to control my peddle to keep the boost out of the danger level. I was also thinking that come the colder weather I tend not to drive as hard due to the weather and road conditions. Maybe I will only increas the diameter from 2" to 2.2" and see what effect this has. Thanks for your opinion, worse comes to worse I will have to buy a new restrictor if when I alter this diameter the boost raises to high.
