  2. Scotland would be fine but the weather is always shite. I imagine you would be looking for a few days away in the summer so how about a cruise to Newquay or something like that. Could you imagine the look on all them Surfers when 20/30+ Supras turn up at the beach and park next to there VW Vans. Not to stray off the point of the cruise but HOT WEATHER, SAND, SEA AND LOADS OF GIRLS IN BIKINIS - oh yeh and Surfer blokes for the female members (better not forget them) Like I said Scotland would be nice but looking a great countryside through the window of your Supra while its pissing down could ruin the experience especially if we are camping etc. Surely we could plan a route touring all the coasts and pick up members as we travel. I dont know start in Newcastle and work down!
  3. 19's for me, i am sure having wheels this big does effect handling and there is more chance of damaging the wheel but what the heck. 19's look much better and in all honestly, for everyday normal driving, I dont think bigger wheels will make that much of a differnce unless your a rally/race driver. Go with 19's, a liitle more money but alot more looks.
  4. Had mine 18months now, I love it but the missus hates it, takes up to much of my time and all of my spare money. GREAT FOR ME, S**T FOR HER
  5. Sorry Mate, I meant Simon, thanks for the info, as soon as the weather dries up abit, I will give it a go. Thanks again
  6. Thanks Alex I never thought about reducing the Duty Rate, just out of interest does this stop the boost spike? I have the gain set so low because anything more than 7 and I am spiking at over 1.3bar. If I set the Duty Rate to reduce once I hit 1.3 bar, can I set the gain higher for a quicker spool up? How does the car drive with the gain at 0.9 bar? is there alot of difference from this compared with the stock setting, if so what are they, does the car respond much quicker? Cheers
  7. Hi Alex Thanks for your advice on question 1, with regards to question 2. By all accounts the Profec E01 has a function where you can keep the wastegate shut until a certain boost pressure to improve spool up. This function is known as the start boost, they recommend that this should be be set no less than 2.8psi under the set boost (Currently I am running about 18psi approx, 1.2bar) On their recommendation I could set the start boost at a maximum of 12psi approx (1 bar) I have this currently set at zero which is the stock level. I was going to set it at about 0.6 bar which is about 9psi which is well within their recommendation. I was wandering what everyone else with the Profec E01 has set theirs at. Cheers
  8. Can anyone answer this, come on you technical bods, your advice is required.
  9. Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a good Xmas. I am hoping someone could answer the following question I have recently had a Profec E01 fitted aswell as an EManage. I am still waiting for the emange to be set up but I have been setting up the Boost Controller myself. On the low setting it is set at the following Low - Manual Set -49% Gain - 7 Start to - ? This currently allows the car to boost at 1.2 Bar and boost spikes at just over 1.3bar for a second or so (outside temperature depending). My question is 1) Should I drop the gain a touch to lower the boost spike? 2) what setting should I set the start boost at? I was thinking to set this at about 0.6 of a bar, what does everyone think? The Soop is a J-Spec running stock Turbos with full decat etc with a restrictor ring. Thanks
  10. Up at 5.45am, leave at 6.15am, then a 2 hour drive to start work at 8.30am - PLEASE LET ME WIN THE LOTTERY THIS WEEK!
  11. Hello Mate First thing I would suggest is T cut the outside of the lenses before doing anything else. I was facing the same dilema as you, do I buy the glass headlights as my existing plastic lenses had de-coloured. I initially thought the de-colouration was on the inside and did'nt fancy the lights in the oven thing. So a friend suggested T Cutting the outside of the lenses, I did and it brought them up lovely. If the de-colouration is on the inside, then you will have to try the oven job or purchase new ones but try this first. Cheers
  12. Thanks Supragal, my clothing was here when I got home. The kids have already had their T Shirts on and they look pucker. The missus didnt want a T Shirt but now she is gutted as she feels left out. Thanks again
  13. Thanks Supragal, I wait with anticipation.
  14. Hi Supragal. I have not recieved mine yet, I am starting to feel left out reading all the posts from satisfied customers. Please tell me you have sent it . Pleaseeee Thanks Vaughany
  15. I have read all the posts and I am a little concerned. I have just bought a Emanage and a Profec E01 and obviously want them installed and mapped Who do the members recommend? My take on the whole situation is as follows, if a tuner quotes you a price for carrying out a specific task. That should be the price you pay, any additional work should be be explained to you and a separate price quoted for that. The end of the Day the Tuners are meant to be the experts. It should not be the case of learning on my car. If they want a Guinea Pig use their own motor. If I paid for my car to be mapped and it was'nt done correctly. I would be pissed and I would expect the Tuner to sort the problem out at no extra cost. I also believe the Trader should be considerate to the customer who may be without a car now or has lost a days wages due to certain problems. Regardless of what you buy and I think this is true for everyone on here, Trader or not. If you buy something and it is faulty, you take it back and exchange it or get a refund. Surely we all expect that and this is how it should be. Is'ent this the reason for the Custonmer having rights so they dont get exploited. Just because a certain shop sells serves a 1000 happy customers per day does'nt mean we should forget or ignore the one unhappy customer. By doing this just allows the company to treat more people badly. If we all stopped using a supplier because of thir crap service. Then you can bet the company would improve their service immediately or alternatively go out of business. Anyway, WHO DO THE MEMBERS RECOMMEND?
  16. My missus drives mine more than I do, I work in london and live in Northampton so I drive her diesel and she drives my Soop TT. The advantage to letting her drive it means I can spend more on mods. I will wait until it is modded the way I want it then i will take it back off her and she wont get in it again. Tha amazing thing is my missus has been only driving a year and she was driving the Soop within a couple of months of passing. She drives it well but I still check the wheels etc for kerbing. Touch wood, no damage yet.
  17. My apologies everyone, I rushed the last post hence the terrible spelling and punctuation. I blame the Supra, its makes you want to do everything quicker. Cheers
  18. Thanks everyone for the info, I have took everyones opinion on oboard and have decide to purchase the emange aswell as the Profec E01. My only question now is do I put a smaller restrictor ring so I use the Boost Controller to raise the boost or do I leave in the exiting ring that hodls my boost at 1.1/1.2 bar Thanks
  19. Hi Jake I believe I will be paying about 20% of the value quoted on the invoice (The value stated will be considerably less than what I am paying) so I should be quids in cheers
  20. Hi Jake I am looking to import from the states, I have been quoted $1005 for the Emanage, Profec E01 and all the asociated Harnesses and other bits. On the current exchange rate when I last looked this equates to about £550 which aint bad. Why are you getting rid of your Emanage, your buying an AEM arent you? What is your opinion of the Emanage? cheers
  21. Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone could avise me on the following. My J-Spec TT has been fully decatted and is running at 1.1 bar with the OD off. (1.2bar with the OD on and the car being in 4th gear- Load Related) I am looking to purchase a Greddy Emange to map my fueling etc to fine tune my fuelling curve. My question is should I buy the Profec E01 Boost controller aswell. I know this unit has lots of features and complements the Emanage. However if I am already hitting 1.1/1.2bar, what would be the advantages of fitting a boost controller aswell. Will it promote a better boost curve etc? also if I decide to purchase should I fit a smaller restrictor ring so the car is back to say 0.9 bar and use the boost controller to increase the boost. I would be grateful if the technical bods could answer this. My plans eventually are to replace my stock turbos so I will need a boost controller eventually but I wanted to know the advantaged taking into account my presents mods. Thanks
  22. Hi Monkeymark, I would be grateful if you could please PM the info on the company doing the new turbos on ebay. Thanks
  23. Cheers Leett, I will read your PM asap. Regarding the Taxes I knew our Government would F**k Me Cheers everyone for the advice
  24. I have contacted mohdparts.com and mvpmotorsport.com. There prices are very competitive but mohdparts.com are about 90 dollars cheaper. Before I purchase being a little bit paranoid, has anyone used mohdparts before and if so are they genuine or would I be best to pay the extra 90 dollars and go with mvp. I would also be grateful if someone could explain the following to me. When the goods get shipped over do I get stung by the customs here and have to pay on top of the price they are quoting. I have never imported before so not exactly sure how this works. I am extremely happy with the prices I have been quoted but I will obviously be less happy if customs turn up and hit me with an additional bill of a £150 - £200. Thanks
