  1. black supra with gold rims and exhaust seen driving suspisiously slowly past my house in skelton on ure near borobridge ripon, several times over easter. just slightly concerned me
  2. cars run fine for 2 years now and always stared first turn but this morn it didnt start, when i put my foot on accellerator it started but as soon as i let off holding the revs up it stalled again, once warmed up seems ok, just when starting ... any ideas?
  3. yeh if i disconnectthe boost controler it boosts to 0.5 then drops off slowly, i get no hissing even after a good run .. how much is a pressure tank and is it a toyota only part?
  4. yeh .. in ttc mode it stil only boosts to 0.5
  5. oil seals went on old turbos hence why they got changed ... and yeh im pretty confident he turbos are fine
  6. by the way .. if the pressure tank was faulty would i be able to get any boost? .. i cant see any of the actuators moving which is a concern
  7. stil at work bud with teh car at home .. wont be at home til late .. iyl bring it into work with me and give u a call tmro
  8. i cant see teh actuators moving and dont get a hiss when taking pipes off ,,,, does this sound like a faulty pressure tank? if so how hard is it to replace?
  9. ok looks like all the hoses are in place .. the only one im not sure about is the barb at the top of the first turbo and the actuator ... does my greddy profec boost controler take a line off each of these into its control box? ive been out for a run with all teh hoses checked against the thread given and the car seems to be pulling all the way through the rev range however it is stil only attaining 0.5 bar ... how would i check my acctuators and vsv's? or is there anything else it could be?

    indicators

    my indicators have stopped working .. so has the hazards .. is this just a fuse and if so where is it located?
  12. ok .. ive tried searching and not come up with anything that helps so thought id ask .. im trying to find a map of the boost pipes in a jspec supe .. after putting new turbo's on im only getting 0.5 bar and no more ... must have put a pipe back in wrong so i need to know where they all go so i can check the instalation .. in particular the pipes at the front that come and go from the turbos and actuators and top metal pipes .. any help much appreciated regards craig

  14. fixed !!! .. although i dont know how .. took a coil pack out to check for a spark and it fired once the pack was put back in .. maybe a loose connection or similar .. a mystery lol
  15. ok checked fuel flow at fuel pump and is pumping fine .. any ideas? its really pi55in me off now
  16. ok iyl check that first thing in the morn .... can any1 shed any light on teh trac light flashing ?? also what is the black box with 3 pipes coming out of the top of it on teh top right hand side of teh engine bay??? craig
  17. no i didnt charge the battery but i know thats fine because everything else is running fine and the cars turning over healthly ... which pipe would i be able to take off to check fuel is getting through?
  18. ok having rebuilt the car just as it was previousley after changing the turbo ive gone to start the car and it wont start .. not even a splutter .. it will turn over but nothing happening, i had the battery off for 2 days, not sure if this may have anything to do with it .. also i have found that the yellow traction control light is flashing which it has never done before .. any ideas??

  20. stripped all down to find the ic and all pipes full of oil and second turbo swimming in oil
  21. oh and btw teh second turbo was fooked .. was full of oil to the point where it poured out when we took it appart
  22. yes thats the cookie .... .would it be disconnected as part of a cboost controler installation? if not where does it need plugging bak into?
  23. first of all im in the middel of changing the turbo's on my 94 j spec and have found a pipe thats not connected to anything ... if you are looking at the turbos from the front of the car, on the first turbo you u can c there is a pipe coming out of it on the top right hand side of it ... just wondering where this pipe should be connected to ??? also while doing this and removing al the pipework that runs along the top of the turbos i have found a lot of oil in these pipes ... im hopingthat this is also just a sighn that the turbo's have had it ???.. it would explain why i have been getting a lot of oil through the dumpvalve any help greatly appreciated ... craig
  24. hmmm .. a change of turbo's then ..... any 'how too' guides on changing turbo's drifting around?
