Yes (in theory!) - Let us know how you get on

    Gearknob gaiter

I've not done it myself yet, but I was planning to give this method a go when I get round to doing it: https://www.prospecimports.com/pages/supra-genuine-leather-boot-set-installation-tips Hopefully someone else can chime in to confirm (or deny!) if this is right thing to do.
  3. Good idea, they look great, almost a no brainer for that price!
  4. Yeah I understand your thoughts, I just think that silver/polished is probably the best look for the wheels due to their design against the red IMO. I think if you were going white for the body colour, perhaps bronze/gold would work better. I guess you can try a different colour and if you don’t like them, revert back to silver. Might be worth a punt for a couple hundred Euro (assuming it isn’t astronomical to get wheels powdercoated where you are!).
  5. I agree with Mike, i'd keep them as they currently are colour wise. If you wanted to change the colour of them, i'd only change the spoke colour, keep the outer rim polished.
  6. The speedo shouldn’t be a massive issue, the Grannas Racing swap uses a digital converter to get the T-56 to work with the stock speedo http://www.grannasracing.com/blogs/news/installing-a-dakota-digital-sgi-5e-on-your-t56-magnum-swap , so this should carry across with other gearboxes too.
  7. The W58 will work fine with your 3.769 auto diff ratio, in my NA car at 70mph in 5th is 3000rpm (stock 4.083 ratio), so you'd be around 2800rpm at 70 in 5th (based on stock tire diameters). Obviously you'll need to get the correct length driveshaft, but the size of the diff should be the same and so it should be a direct bolt on I think (i.e both small case diffs) Hope this helps.
  8. Couldn't have said it better myself! All the best - hopefully there are no more surprises! I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!
  9. Done, requested my three above and the two rear pre-facelift ABS Speed sensors (89545-14010;89546-14010) as my five for the time being.
  10. Completely forgot about this! I didn't realise that a list had already been created, thanks. As it's now fresh in my mind again I'll send a request through later this evening and add a couple extra's from the list. Cheers
  11. Yeah, that would have been a much smarter repair for sure! It does baffle me, but I guess most Supra's were worth about a third of the price 10-15 years ago, so it seems people spent 1/3 of what a proper job costs! Yeah they do, about £720 inc vat, but probably worth speaking with Mr. T before pulling the trigger, hopefully it'd be a tad cheaper. I'd be surprised if it was less than £500 though , they're £400 from Amayama in Japan excluding shipping and taxes!
  12. That's rough - I guess that's just the reality with a lot of Supras nowadays as they're 20+ years old in most cases and have likely had a little shunt in the past. At least it's now in good hands, and will get sorted properly. Fingers crossed it doesn't give you any issues in the future. My NA is currently getting some welding done, and when they were going to blend the paint in the same area on the passenger side, they sanded into filler that hadn't fully cured yet, that was soft enough to pick off with your fingernail! Makes me wonder what they must have been thinking, similar to that repair on yours!
  13. Subscribed, good luck with the build, interested to see how it'll all unfold/progress!
  14. Keron has them, I got mine from him when it split
  15. Ah yes, I didn’t notice the bracketry he’d made for easy replacement, another smart idea!
  16. Great idea, I think it'll look mega (or rather it won't because you won't be able to spot them!) once it's all done!
  17. Hi James, That sounds annoying, but at least you'll benefit from it on their dime! I recently did a large order from Amayama, as I'm having the sills welded on my NA, so I bought all new clips, screws and the sills themselves. However, i've just had a look and they only seem to have the LH roof drip side moulding, so it's not much help on this occasion, but I'd bear Amayama in mind if you need anything in the future. It's also worth speaking to your local Toyota parts dept, and Keron from Extreme performance to see if he's got any of the parts. Failing all of that, at least Mike has found a place to get 3 out of the 4 bits!
  18. Fair enough, I assume the blue classic you're on about is the same/similar to the one you posted above? It does look great with the BF lettering. I think you can get semi-permanent sticker kits if you wanted to give that a go, but I believe the majority of them are in the style below, which wouldn't suit the car:
  19. Hi James, I haven't personally removed mine yet (it's on the list), but when I looked at the part diagrams there appears to be 18 screws that hold it in, so you'd need to remove the rubber seal first (I believe this just pulls off as the part diagrams only quote clips at either end and I know there is adhesive). Hope this helps, hopefully someone who has removed them can chime in to confirm.
  20. I think they're definitely cool imo on older style tyres with large sidewalls (BF Goodrich etc.), not sure how they'd look with the modern Michelin design, I still think it would look good. I'd say give it a go with a white paint pen one one side and if you aren't a fan you should be able to get it off with some white spirit/apc. - - - Updated - - - I think they're definitely cool imo on older style tyres with large sidewalls (BF Goodrich etc.), not sure how they'd look with the modern Michelin design, I still think it would look good. 21. Thanks Peter, I might take you up on that offer for photos/advice! Hopefully you'll get a few more replies as the car starts coming together more (not that it hasn't been already ) I think I may do the same as you and create a thread when my TT6 starts getting things done to it, just as a record more than anything - I've lost track of what I've done on my NA!
  22. I've got 17x9+20 on the rear of my NA and it fits nicely (and could come out 5mm or so and still be within the arch), so you'd be able to go to 9.5+20/25 as a max I'd say. Unfortunately I've got no photos and the car is away at the bodyshop at the moment. I use: https://www.willtheyfit.com to check, so if you know your current setup, you can play about with the numbers to see what will fit based on your existing setup. Hope this helps!
  23. Looks lovely Peter, great choice on the I/C and piping colour. I think you'll be right - the copper colour on the interior trim will be subtle but noticeable, and look nice and clean. I've also spotted a few other cool things you've done that I may have to copy for mine Can't wait to see it back on the road and I look forward to future updates!
