    Steam Clean?

Thanks for the replys peeps, I think I'm gonna give it a go and just see how it goes. I'll let you know how I get on.
  3. Thanks Ben, Don't think it's a stone or anything as the noise dissapears when you push the pedal. Not sure about shields/indicators etc as I did not fit them. Will have to take the wheels off and have a look.
  4. Hi all, I'm getting a clicking sound from the passenger side of my car which increases and decreases with speed. I think it is brake related as the noise stops when I apply pressure to the brake pedal. Now I know normally this would point to a warped disc or something of the like but I'm not sure in this case as: I'm running 356mm AP slotted vented discs. KAD 6 pots with Porterfield pads. Motul 6.1 fluid I find it hard to believe that just normal braking would have somehow damaged them. I have not done any trackdays etc. Anyone have any ideas?? Any help is very welcome. Thanks,

    Steam Clean?

Do you reckon 250's is that clean without steaming it? I'm not sure.

    Steam Clean?

All, After seeing 250 horse's new mota and how clean the engine bay is I'm thinking of getting mine steam cleaned. The place I've found says they can do it for £22 but that I should check with the manufacturer to see if it's okay to do it? Has anyone here had their bay done? Any advice appreciated. Thanks,
  7. Sounds good dude. I'm looking forward to it..
  8. Very nice dude, I wanna get mine steam clean now.
  9. Sorry to see that Loks, Was a nice car you had there. Hope you get it all sorted mate.
  10. Link for wheel Click Me!!!
  11. Paul E sells them Sheena. Don't qout me but I think the are around £130 plus the cost of a boss. They certainly do look good.
  12. I think it's one of the most important things you can do in any performance car... I think it's worth remembering that driver skill is a big part of other cars on the road/track getting the better of you. When I had my Elise I knew drivers who could punch way above there weight and would shame big power cars. All purely because they are able to drive the car properly....
  13. Never had a white/ivory sofa then mate?
  14. Hey TT, The oil temp gauge will come with a new sump plug that has a recess in it for one end of the cable to screw into the other end goes straight to the gauge. Very straight forward to fit yourself. The AEM is a air/fuel ratio gauge. Depending who you speak to some will tell you not to bother with an EGT gauge as results vary depending on where the sensor is placed etc. Keeping an eye on the AEM will give a much better indication off if your causing any damage.. I'm sure someone more techinical than me will be along shortley to explain better. Cheers,
  15. I don't think the pic is that relevant to the calender. I agree it's a better shot and certainly a better advert for Envy but is it really calendar material??? I don't think so...
  16. Looks great CJ. Gotta be carefull when pushing those switches mate, gonna be a bitch to keep clean I reckon. Looks Bling though...
  17. Racing Hart's or Do-Luck double sixes. Nothing else comes close IMO.
  18. Oil Temp is more important than most realize. It's much more critical to ensure the engine is properly warm before gunning it to avoid damage and the only way to tell this is with an oil temp gauge. The oil takes much longer to get up to temperature than water so when you think your cars warm it may not be. Also if you can afford it I would say a AEM AF gauge is a much better bet than a EGT gauge. Hope this helps, all IMO. Cheers
  19. Nice graph CJ. Figures look good. Hope mine looks that good soon.
  20. That's a real shame as I thought that was one of the best pics in there. Anybody got the full size version just for private use? Quite fancy a new desktop wallpaper. Cheers

  22. I'm running no shims but I have the KAD setup front and rear. I agree that it will improve pedal feel a great deal but some people say it causes squeal but I think that has more to do with the pads you use. My only complaint is a slight rattle on the rears with no shims... Cheers
  23. Are NA's supposed to be louder then? Would have thought they would be quieter with less air being pushed through...?
