  1. Out of interest, what brake setup do you have on the car?
  2. I prefer chinese..... Nice to see you back mate.
  3. To the point Dude.... Thanks, there goes that idea.
  4. Not sure if this should be here or not so mods feel free to move it if you wish..... Like I could stop ya.. Anyway I'm wondering if anyone knows of or reccommends any OBD II scan software which will work with the Soop? After my issue with the knocking I need some some software which will log when the standard ECU starts to pull the timing. This will be very useful as I'm just trying to work out if the ECU is doing it's job properly at the moment. I know this is available for other cars but am not sure if it is around for the J spec Supra. Thanks all.
  5. Sorry to hear that Richie, you must be well upset mate. I think you'll find the rim part of the Racing Hart's is S/Steel I know mine are. Not sure if this is easy to refurb as I assume it must be done in a different way??? I stand ready to be corrected though.

A very warm welcome mate, tis a very nice car you have there and of course the best colour.... I hope you enjoy it.
  7. I'm sure he's just been really busy trying to sort out another job and stuff. After all that has to come first even over the Soop and BBS, everyone's got bills to pay. I'm sure he will return as soon as he get's the time.
  8. Allow me.... http://img116.exs.cx/img116/9081/tyre.jpg
  9. The red light with triangle will always be on if the handbrake is on. Does it stay on without the handbrake being on?
  10. Thanks Matt, will probably go the emanage route and sell the Apexi units but I'm not 100% yet. Did you have the timing retarded on yours? I'll give you a shout tomorrow mate if that's alright. Cheers:)
  11. Hi All, As some of you may already be aware I am running a single T61 on my car. Well today I went to have it setup on the Rolling Road again as it's been playing up of late. Anyway I am using a S-AFC2 and 650cc injectors at the mo and single Walbro pump. When it was put on the dyno the fueling was adjusted and changed a little and the figures produce were quite good - 492bhp at the hubs and 478 ft/lb. No detectable knock at this point and I was a happy chappy. Then the bad news, when we took it for a road test the S-AFC knock sensor was registering very high readings at + boost. Now I know the sensor on the S-AFC may not be that reliable but the readings were very high and when we listened to the engine through earphones knocking could be heard at high RPM. So added more fuel across the range and it made no difference, also changed the plugs from IK22 to IK27. Still has not solved it. So my only other thing to adjust is the timing. The S-AFC however does not allow for this. My question to you all is: Do I ditch the S-AFC and go for an e-manage or the like. Also those of you who are also running singles could you tell me which plugs your are using and if you have your timing retarded? Thanks all and sorry for the epic...
  12. Two words for you mate Racing Hart http://img6.exs.cx/img6/1531/Soop_one_small.jpg http://img6.exs.cx/img6/9695/Soop_art_two_small.jpg
  13. Are you running the standard brake setup? I had a very similar noise and it because of my KAD brake setup. You may find that the clips holding the pads in are not doing there job properly so the pads rattle around. Worth a try.
  14. Glad you got it back Paul.
  15. Hi Ed, I can see where your coming from but obviously the box does not have to be a cube. My 10" JL sub in in a box which is about .9 foot square. Can you not make it shallow but wide enough to fit the sub?

    Where can I get...

Welcome mate, I think clifford are probably the best alarms out there at the mo. Try Vortex for an alarm or specifically Matt Harwood@sextons. Cheers,
  17. Yeah you're right about the stocks for winter. Might have some in mind???? How about some nice RH's?
  18. Very Nice Sakura, don't worry about the wheel weights.... Just ditch the rims and get some better ones....
