  5. I was thinking it's something to do with the fueling myself... Not a prob with the limiting as I can take the speed right up if I do it fairly gently... I'm think maybe the FCD is not set up right??? HOw do I check? The guys ay TDI said that I needed the upgraded pump so I had it fitted but I don't have the FSE yet. They also said I was now right on my limit for fueling before having to fit bigger injectors!!! Is this what I should do? Thanks guys.
  6. Hi All, I was just driving home on the M25 and hade a prick in a M3 driving up my ar*e... Anyway I'm already doing about 95 so I put my foot down to lose him. My car is at around 4000 revs then the boost goes up to 1.2 bar and off I shoot, 3-4 seconds later still got my foot flat so the boost is still right up there and it's nowhere near the redline(prob around 4750) and bang big pop from the exhaust loss of power and the warning triangle comes on for about 10 seconds. Needless to say this was very disconcerting at the time. Anyway I wait a little while and try again... Exactly the same thing happens another two times.... I know I probably should not have done it that many times but it's never done this before. I had an upgraded fuel pump fitted and the FCD re-configured by TDI last friday and since then I can her a constant whirring inside the car aqnd have had this problem... It's fine in other gears as it changes up before being on max boost for too long. Do they have a safty cutout after a few secs on the turbos? Anyone got any ideaqs??? Help much appreciated. Cheers

  8. Not happy... Parked my car in the NCP in London yesterday and when I went to pick it up they were shut...!!!! They don'y open again until Monday... How stupid is that??? So I can't come along tonight.!! How gutted am I.... I was looking forward to beating some Racer boys.
  9. All, Just recieved this in my mail box.... Anyone fancy checking this out on the way to Southend??? Sounds like a great laugh. I've been before and they have proper racing and drifting... Could really show up the Essex boys.... There is some nice machinery down there sometimes though.... Let me know what you reckon and I'll post more details. We also have the Rinse Wot U Brung finals with £200 up for grabs and the UK db Drag Finals. The Black Thunder Rolling Road Show from Essex FM will be in attendance from 6.30pm, we will be live on the radio with updates from the cruise. We have also taken out extensive advertising which covers the whole of Essex leading up to and including the day of the cruise.   15. Roy, Sounds good mate, will keep an eye open for that one. Branners, It's normally on boosting to 1.2 or just a little over. If I put my foot flat when allready travelling at high speed 85+ then it seems to go higher. If I get a better fuel pump and FSE will I be okay running high boost? Cheers
  16. Where would you get toluene from??? I been adding the silkolen to mine as well but I'm not sure how much this actually boosts the octane of Optimax to??? Cheers Matt B
  17. No worries mate, when I spoke to Far he said he was going to meet with you earlier in the day. Do you live down by me in Redhill? If so we will have to meet up again some time.   19. All, Just had my full decat, FCD and Nur spec fitted and am now hitting up to 1.3 bar on the gauge when the second turbo kicks in. Is this too high for standard Jap spec turbos? Haven't had the car on the RR yet to check fueling but will be doing this in a week or so. If the fueling is okay is it safe for me to run this level long term or will it shorten the lives of my turbos/engine? Thanks in advance. Matt B

  21. Hi All, I'm about to have both cats removed from my J-spec TT and have a Nur Spec R Zorst fitted with a HKS Super SQV. I've been told I'll have to get the FCD fitted as well which is fine but what if the boost goes up to much? What level is it safe to run the car at when everything else is standard? I'm kind of hoping I won't have to spend anothe £500+ on boost control equipment. Any help is greatly received. Matt B
