got my Eibach prokit springs from Amber Performance 01582 572500 good guys, del 2 days £160 inc. vat £10 del direct from Eibach. got local mech. to fit shocks,springs and alignment about £100.

clutch fluid is pretty manky and needs changed,got some rbf600 fluid is this ok to use? how easy/difficult is it to do,or should i get local mech. to do it? cheers Rahile

i have the Exide Maximma 900 Deep Cycle biggest batt to fit, slight adjustment is necessary got it direct from exide £195+vat, also done power earth upgrade, solved a couple of electrical issues i was having, also the car when warm idles alot lower. told a mate of mine about the battery,he somehow managed to get one from Dingbro for only £95 they prob made a mistake or something,try giving them a ring if they quote you the same snap it up quick. if your running amps and stuff its ideal, i bought a few batteries before,this one i'll be taking out if i sell the car!

i think i'll add aswell i asked the same question. Charcoal Cannister. if the noise bugs you, open the petrol cap to release pressure, the noise should go away. i only know this because of this wonderful place.

hi Jake, i was talking about removing the material on the undertray not the undertray itself, that material on there was totally knackered and soaked with water from the rad, so i have binned it anyway,the undertray itself is now cleaned up shining ready to go back on. the material is the same as under the bonnet which i have removed also. thank you for helping. Hi there yeh will look into the grill, i have some lying about somewhere. will take the intercooler out also, if thats in bad shape will change that too. oh yeh the plastic guard under the engine, that was really bad, took it off, gave it a good clean, the material type stuff on it,is that just sound proof stuff? can i bin it,cause its pretty bad or will i have to get a new one? regards Rahile

OK took the rad out last night i thought my car was clean, the amount of crap in there, leaves, paper, fag ends etc. drained the purple fluid that was in there, and also bits of the old cap also came out. defo need new rad because of the chunk out of it. i called almost everywhere inc. ChrisW(cheers)ScotRad Serck etc. one of the guys said yeh will get you a new RAD £125+vat (not exchange)from manufacturer Nissens, but i called Nissens direct, they told me they only do rad upto 93,ChrisW said same MkIII job. ordered new rad from Toyota £300 inc. vat after discount with 3 year warranty.del 3 days. i am not really too pissed because the old rad is in pretty bad shape,esp towards the bottom end where all the crap is stuck to it. now i'm gonna start cleaning out all the crap which will prob. take a while, my car is a 96 model and that was the cond. of it, i would recommend owners to atleast remove all the crap that gathers over the years.

hi jake, local rad shop quoted £86 to recon the rad, i will try and do what you said, but what about the chunk i took out of it(see pic) with new cap on, water runs through to the other plastic tank,thats not suppose to happen is it?

hi all, i have just knackered my rad. i think. old rad cap was broken, half of it was still stuck in the rad,so i got a pair of pliers and thought i would remove the rest of it, only after i took a chunk out of it realised that was from the actual rad itself. yes i know i f***cked up big time! anyway after i took out what was the rest of the old cap, i saw a small metal ring floating past. any suggestions or is it def new rad. when i put the new cap on(TRD) then squeeze rad hose water flows through to the exspansion tank, is that suppose to happen. what about the floating metal ring. hi there i got the Zymol concours kit a while back. it's the business. wash car HD Cleanse (once a year or every 6 months) apply wax by melting in hand,then apply also by hand, your neighbours will think you've gone mad! every time i wash car, most water will run off, or take it for a quick spin, all done. my car is black, only thing is attracts mega attention. regards Rahul oh yeh keep the wax in the fridge. and only use little per panel(about the size of a baked bean)and keep away from the kids,they will prob wanna eat it!

hi all need HELP drivers side lower wishbone needed, cause the ball joint is knackered, was told by my mech. that need to get complete arm, which was confirmed by Chris W, also Fensport. My local Toyota Quoted me £375.90+vat part number 48068-14090 if thats the price then fine, just no wanna get ripped. any alternatives, tried the search cheers rahul ps could the knackered ball joint cause the rattle i am getting?

i change the oil and filter every 4000mls, religiously!! always used Motul 6100 Fully synthetic, but will now change to? regards rahul

hi can anyone help me install this shift light, please, pic attached had it for months lying around in my garage. 3 wires to connect. the black is Earth, red and green + and - to connect to the ignition coil. easy, only thing is i;m thick. where's the ignition coil? pics with big arrows would help. or should i dump it cos it's crap? hi can anyone help please got TDI pump and relay kit. fitted the relay did not get round to do the pump the same day. noticed that it starting clicking after start up, atleast 6-8 times in a row, then again after a minute or so, i thought it suppose to click only once after start up. then fitted the pump still clicking like mad. noticed once the car was warmed up after 15-20mins driving does not click as much, starts to click again 4-5 times in a row when i have all the lights heater etc. on. it also clicks when i press both buttons for the electric windows up and hold. and again sometimes during driving slowing down at junction at low revs when on the brakes. a couple of weeks ago had a flat battery, the RAC chap told me get new batt. your alternator is fine.so i got new battery Exide Maxxima 900DC. still bloody clicks like mad. checked all the wiring as per TDI instructions, then checked them again, all OK. the pump is fine, could not hear the JDM one but can deffo hear this one working(when engine on) has not effected performance in any way, in fact feels like it has more kick than before. Can anyone please HELP.

damn dunnit again heres the pic its now fitted flush rather than on that bracket.

Thanks i did not want to put a gauge in where the clock goes, not because i want to see the time, but purely because the ones i have seen fitted somehow dont look right, there not flush fitting, stick out from the dash. heres a pic of the Defi Link Display. the reason for this was cos my passengers could not see the speedo without leaning right over, which kinda looks odd, if you know what i mean.
