Thanks for the tip - but i'm not selling *because* of the faded paintwork. I've had it 6 years now and it's just time for a change, even though i still like it - might seem crazy, but that's just the way it is. Maybe i could follow your advice and try get it all shiny - then sell it for quite a bit more! Still for sale at the original asking price!

S'ok mate - no disrespect taken ;-) I thought the price was about right considering that if the paint can't be rescued with some clever waxing or something then it would probably need respraying! Thought i'd put it up for sale in it's current state to see if anyone was interested in either trying to sort it, or maybe getting it kitted up and resprayed. If it don't sell then so be it - i love it and i'll just keep it! The annoying thing is that when it's wet it looks perfect - if only i could keep it wet all the time! i went and got a price for wrapping it in vinyl - matt black would be cool - but it sounded as though wrapping a Supra might be tricky as the roof and rear wings are all one bit!

Can assure you it hasn't been washed in fairy liquid in the last 6 years since i owned it - don't get me wrong - i'm no detailer - but i always used Autoglym products, then onto Meguiar products.

Just had to look through my folder of receipts - they're 18" Fox Racing Fox 6 Evo's.

I've added some pictures, including a couple of close-ups of the bonnet and roof to try and show the issue with the paint.

For Sale. 1996/N Supra RZ Twin Turbo Manual in Red. Odometer reads 106K miles but first 64K was km, and so actual mileage about 82K. (I have a BIMTA certificate showing km/mileage on conversion from when i bought the car - not sure if these are well thought of). Standard J-Spec apart from air filter and 18" wheels. Panasonic MP3 CD stereo. Toad cat-1 alarm. MOT mid-August, Tax end of year. I've owned it for almost 6 years, had cambelt changed and new clutch. Worked from home last few years and so not covered many miles over that time. Regularly serviced - all receipts available (and all MOT certificates). Wanting around £6K, which i think is quite a good price for a Twin Turbo manual. Reason for this is simple - paintwork needs attention - it's faded quite badly - dunno if it can be rescued by someone who knows what they are doing, or if it really needs a respray. Location Bradford, West Yorkshire Phone Number: 07779574835 Photos attached - tried to show the issue with the paint in a couple of shots of the bonnet and roof.

Thanks for the number imi - web site working for me now. Sky's initial quote was around £950, but after speaking to the underwriters, they called me back with £746, £350 xs, protected NCB (6 years), £50K legal, with an option of an extra £35 for a guaranteed value - loads better than A-Plan and quite a bit better than Elephant. It'll be interesting to see what A-Plan change their quote to when I call them to say I can get it considerably cheaper somewhere else - I hate it when insurance companies don't give you the best price straight away - if they don't manage to beat Sky by quite a margin, then they're not gonna get my business, just because of that fact! I won't use Adrian Flux after an issue I had with them a quite a while ago on an FTO.

Hi Guys, Can someone post the number for Sky Insurance? I can't get access to the website at http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk - is it down for everybody? My renewal with A-Plan is £886, £50K legal and £450 xs, protected NCB. Quote with Elephant is £828, £100K legal and £250 xs, protected NCB. Age 35, 6 years NCB, Bradford, J-Spec TT6. Need to see if Sky can beat that! Cheers Wayne

It is! It's very fast too! It's got a stainless exhaust (think CAT(s) are still in place), HKS dump valve and air filter - not sure about other mods - the guy hasn't had it long. Not raced it with my (un-modded) Supra yet though.

I think the camper van is a nice touch. If only it was fully slammed and riced!

Guys, I ran over something last night, and seem to have damaged a wheel - a guy at a garage I went to put it onto the balancing machine (minus tyre) and he said it was buckled, and beyond repair. Shit! Now these are the wheels that were on the car when I got it, and I haven't a clue what they are, so I thought i'd attach a picture (very dirty at the moment!!!) to see if any of you guys recognise them. I suspect i'm not gonna be able to source a new one anyway, so i'm gonna have to get myself some new wheels. The ones that are on there take tyres sizes - rear: 265/35/18; front: 235/40/18, and I think I want some of similar size. Any recomendations from you guys, or thoughts? Cheers

I drove it for less than a week when i knew the clutch was shagged - not sure how long the clutch was shagged before i noticed. Never had any problems with crunching gears, even with the knackered clutch. It's not a massive problem - if i keep my hand on the stick when it's in fifth, then it doesn't lose it - i think the gear is working fine, it just sometimes slips out if i'm not holding it - not always.

Hi Guys, I had a new clutch on my car a couple of weeks ago, and since then, it sometimes drops out of 5th gear into neutral on it's own, without me touching the gear stick. The Toyota dealer who changed the clutch say that this is a total coincidence, and them changing the clutch has nothing to do with it. They've taken a look, and say that there is no adjustment as the gear stick goes straight into the gearbox. They told me that it is likely to be something in the gearbox that needs changing - he said that they have had this problem on Supra's before. Anyway, before I discuss this any more with them, and get a price, I thought i'd see if you guys had any thoughts on what might be wrong, and if this is a common problem with the Supra, then at least a few of you should have had it happen to you. Cheers Wayne

Ordered the Toyo's from Pro Alloys - £152.50 each - should be here on Thursday. Believe it or not, Kwik-Fit were so close to being competitive. I phoned them for a price to fit them for me, and thought i'd get a quote for the tyres just for a laugh. After checking, he said they would be £163.99 each, including VAT and fitting. However, he said that his supplier would only sell them if they were standard for the car - what's that all about??? Anyway, when he went back to them to try and get them, he said they were out of stock, and didn't know when they'd be back in stock. They can be as cheap as anything if they haven't got them in stock! I'm loving the space saver at the moment - looks the tits, and keeping it below 60 is easy (!!!!) - my fuel economy is probably great though! Having problems finding a place that will do 4 wheel alignment for me. Anyone any ideas near Keighley/Skipton?
