Definately. I would curse myself for not buying sooner but in my defence the time to buy to really make a packet was around 1995 I suppose. So at 15 I wasn't likely to be buying a house As long as they don't drop after I've bought I don't mind too much. Gotta beat paying rent.

Well this is kind of it- trying to figure out if I should go for a smaller house and use some money to extend it how I want it or if it just blows it off the charts.

Sadly I'm as picky about houses as I am cars. Can't see myself finding a place with a double garage and a 3rd reception room big enough for the cinema. Booo.

Thanks Christian- not planning on building an extention at the mo- not even got a house yet, just wondering what type to look for. Seen a few with space to extend which would make them feasible... without it they'd be too small.

Now I'm no good at maths but I'm pretty sure I worked that out wrong then... so a 20x20ft extention would cost... what?

I know this is a bit of an open ended question possibly but how much does it cost to build an extention on a house? It'd be quite a large one or 2 rooms. Both downstairs.

Have a look in the technical section mate, there are lots of thrads about creaks etc and some interesting ones about boot rubbers and also similar sounds that weren't the boot rubbers
