  1. Welcome to the club. Lovely car! There's also a specific order in which Toyota recommend you do up the roof bolts which, presumably, reduces rattling- check under the centre console lid and there's a diagram in to show the order (there is on mine anyway!) If you can't find it I'll check on mine for you. As regards seats, I have Recaro Speeds on Bride rails which sit you nice and low in the car.
  2. Can't help I'm afraid but I have the same exhaust and the noise level sometimes bothers me, so I'd be interested in ideas as well.
  3. I used oven cleaner foam (found the suggestion on this forum)- spray it on and leave it for half an hour to dissolve. Then use something like a scouring pad and water to clean it all off. I believe brake cleaner works well too but I've never tried it.
  4. Halfords matt black is also very close if you have the pre-facelift rubber coating on the dash panels.
  5. That's worth knowing, thanks. If you find a UK seller of part 89428-24010 then would you mind letting me know? If you've removed the AC radiator cooling fan (although not all models have these) then that can also cause the circuit to stay open with the fan permanently on, unless you connect two wires where the AC pressure switch is (or was). Can't remember which wires I'm afraid but just thought I'd mention it.
  6. This sounds right- I did an MoT check on this car (you can just about make out the reg from the photos that were on eBay), and it was definitely off the road for 5 years or so.
  7. Might be a silly question but does anyone know if this is an all-day thing, or is it just for the morning? I only ask as I couldn't get there until around lunchtime, but I'd love to come and see some Supras.
  8. From memory the gauge cluster has 3 x T10 and 1 x T5 bulbs. The HVAC is lit by either 5 or 6 T5 bulbs.
  9. This. Did my kit over the break as well- pic attached. You can see how the tank fits neatly in front of the battery.
  10. Only just seen this reply- many thanks, really appreciate it. I'll try it.
  11. I thought as much. My problem is that the fan is running constantly even with the sensor connected. Glad to know it doesn't do too much harm to run it constantly though!
  12. I wish I could, but I stupidly got rid of it pretty much as soon as it came out. The connector for the fan is still there- is there anything I can do to the pins to make it seem as though the air con fan is still part of the circuit?
  13. Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with a recent problem. I replaced the radiator a week ago and since then the small fan next to the main viscous fan is constantly running. It never did this before but now comes on with the ignition. I replaced that fan's control switch at the bottom of the rad but it hasn't made a difference. It's my understanding that the small fan should only come on at 100 degrees. If relevant I also disconnected and removed the air con fan at the very front of the car while I was working around there- it was very rusty and I won't be replacing it (not all Supras have this fan). Just thought I'd mention it. Does anyone have any idea why the little fan is now constantly running? I'd be very grateful for suggestions! Thanks.
  14. All the best with the search. Do you know what spec you're after?
  15. I don't know how helpful this is, but personally I wouldn't want another car off a trader I don't trust- even if the replacement car isn't technically going to cost anything up front. And how do you really feel about the grey car? Do you actually want it, or would you just be taking it because it's the easier option? I only ask because I was quite specific about the spec and colour of Supra that I wanted when I was shopping around, and I don't think I'd have been happy if I'd settled for something that wasn't what I was after. Hope things get sorted either way, and I hope this doesn't put you off Supra ownership! I think you should keep pushing for the refund.
  16. The stuff I had from them was pretty nice.
  17. If it helps you can opt for plain dials from Pro Spec Imports so you don't need to have the big S - there's a drop-down box to select the style you want when ordering.
  18. I repainted my calipers recently and got the decals from here: http://www.brakecaliperdecals.co.uk They send you three of each in case you mess one up (like I did!). Quick tip- warm up the decal and the caliper with a heat gun or hairdryer before you apply it- they adhere a lot better.
  19. I have a van for work- that's the daily. I also have a Civic Type R FN2- probably not everyone's favourite Type R but I've had it ten years now and have always loved it. Never had any issues and is practical in terms of space too.
  20. Mine arrived too. Love it, thank you! - - - Updated - - - Mine arrived too. Love it, thank you!
  21. I'll be there if I can fix a coolant leak that the Supra has just developed... Otherwise I may still come over in the daily to meet a few members and see some nice cars!
  22. Hi. Can anyone recommend a place to buy the Aerotop roof lock mechanism? The allen head has just rounded off with age but I believe the only option is to replace the whole unit - correct me if I'm wrong though! Many thanks.
