  1. Great introduction Steve. Welcome to the club! Like you say- it’s a great community and you won’t be short on advice. Nearly every job I do on my Supra is preceded by a search on here. I like your Audi in the background too. Always liked old Audis- my dad had a really nice 80 before he died which I really wish I’d hung on to. Please keep us posted on the work on the Supra. I’m sure others will make suggestions too but while you’re under the car you may want to check the fuel and brake hardlines- a lot have been known to corrode and leak due to age.
  2. My Supra has done this for as long as I’ve had it but for some reason it only started bothering me today… When I put the handbrake on the yellow oil level light always lights up, in addition to the normal handbrake light and the general warning light in the middle of the RPM gauge. There has never been any oil problems- it has the right amount, regular changes and no leaks. Am I right in thinking that’s not normal? And if not, any idea what might cause it? I was happier when it didn’t bother me!
  3. I don’t know about their quality or fitment but I came across these guys who have started 3D printing certain Supra trim parts. Most, me included, would always favour OE but thought it worth a mention. https://www.turboloaded.com/en/shop/toyota-supra-mkiv-93-98-steering-column-cover-pair-5-bolt-and-without-cruise-control-only/
  4. That’s fantastic, thank you very much.
  5. That’s a huge help, thank you. I’m not too familiar with that side of the engine so it’s good to know what to look for, even better to hear I may not need to dismantle too much! Final question then- does anyone know the part numbers of the hose(s) that may need replacing? Amayama’s diagram of the cooling system isn’t especially clear. Thanks again.
  6. As above, I’ve just noticed a small coolant leak coming from somewhere below the throttle body. Can’t see where from exactly but it’s dripping onto the side of the AC compressor bracket nearest the block. I did a search on the forum but couldn’t find that anyone had had the same issue, so I assume it’s not a common place to leak. It’ll be a few days before I can start taking things apart to have a look, but in the meantime can anyone who knows the engine suggest what might be leaking or what I should check? It’s a TT pre-VVTI. Thanks in advance.
  7. Don’t know if this helps but I found this image of part code 90950-01539 which may narrow it down:
  8. I’m assuming Hetherington Performance is run by Gareth Hetherington. If so then I messaged him and bought his HVAC LED conversion boards just a few weeks ago. Really pleased with the results. He’ll also do the conversion for you if you’d rather send the HVAC unit to him. Maybe try him on Facebook Messenger? That’s what I used.
  9. And me, thank you. Great work as always.

  11. That was a lovely car you built. I think you should build another F&F replica. And sell it to me… Hope you enjoy the new purchase.
  12. If it’s still leaking oil after doing the above then you can do a search on here for the common oil leak areas on a 2JZ. I’ve also used a UV dye designed to go in the oil to help track down where a leak is coming from- you can get a kit on eBay. Hope you got it sorted.
  13. Great find, thank you for sharing. Good to see such a variety too- I understand why so many are favouring a stock look these days but I’m still a fan of nicely modified cars.
  14. From the top photo they look to be threaded u-nuts, sometimes called chimney nuts. If you know the bolt thread size you can buy the corresponding nuts from quite a few places. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323992945875
  15. Few more photos. Sorry for the quality- they were taken using an old iPhone.
  16. Had a fantastic time on this yesterday and was great to meet some fellow owners. Thanks to all, hope everyone got home safe.
  17. Just a heads up- for those filling up this evening you may need to wait or have a backup petrol station in mind. There’s a lot of panic buying going on today as there aren’t enough drivers to get fuel delivered. Every petrol station I’ve passed so far has big queues.
  18. Don’t think that was me. I’m assuming from your profile picture that yours was the black UK spec indoors though- lovely car. Looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom!
  19. Really enjoyed this show today- would definitely go again. Not sure if they’re on here but I met a couple of Supra owners too who were very friendly.
  20. Agreed, good find. Looks like he has some other useful ones as well- taking the carpet out for example.
  21. All being well I’ll come along for the Hereford to Elan Valley drive. I’ll have to head off home after that due to some other commitments but looking forward to it all the same!
  22. Just thought I’d share this- found it quite interesting. I wonder if anyone still has an original car phone in their Supra...
  23. That was me! I'd been in Church Stretton for the day and was trying to get home before the rain caught up. Glad the car didn't look too bad - up close it's a bit dirty. Since owning the car I don't think I've seen another on the road either.
  24. I’m stupidly attached to mine- I even miss it when it’s away for repair. To be fair I’ve only owned the car for three years but I’d wanted a Supra for nearly 20 years previous and don’t foresee ever selling now that I finally have one.
  25. Check the club’s Facebook page if you have access- someone there was selling some interior trim panels.
