  1. Oil stem seals mate, I have the same problem....I bought my current car knowing they needed to be done and my previous GZ Aerotop showed the problem up when I went full decat. Once the car is warmed up and say I am sitting in traffic, small blip on the accelerator and there is a puff off smoke. Hard acceleration and all is clear, its only on startup first thing, sometimes small puff of smoke, sometimes a cloud and the rest of the time on stop/start in traffic. You will find the reason in the forum threads, just got to decide if it is something you wan't to get fixed or not ! I have to admit it is tempting for me, I do a short journey to work, I hate leaving smoke ! However got to balance that up against approx £700 to fix it......

    Good News :D

Guys, Any idea how much and the best place to get the Valve Stem Seals done ?
  3. I have the same problem, just put on some front discs I bought from one of the guys from the forum. Quick drive to Bluewater and back and everytime I breaked hard, pulsing through the pedal and vibration on the steering wheel. I think I will have to check out the discs in the morning, maybe put the old ones back !
  4. Seems we have a number of us in Crawley.....it would be good to get together some time !
  5. Where in Crawley are you ? I have a Black Veilside Supra at the top of my road in Furnace Green, you can see what I have from my Avatar...... Had your car long ?
  6. I had some guys on board the simulator at the back once, we were on motion, so we are talking about feeling everything you see out of the window, and we managed to make them feel sick as we hit some serious turbulance and a small microburst.....we made them clean up the mess of course !
  7. In my previous life I was in entertainment simulation, our company put in the Star Wars/Body Wars simulators at Disney, now thats even more fun !
  8. Strange thing in this game is having too much knowledge..... I have taken off from Kai Tek on a BA flight to the Phillipines (real flight) and realised the pilot has come very close to putting the plane in the sea at the end of the runway !
  9. Guys, I design and build Flight Simulators...they are all Level D which means a trainee Pilot can fly in only one of these, rack up some hours, and go straight into the real thing, thats how real they are. My last project was for the U.S Government working on an update for one of their planes. I have flown with one of the 747 test pilots in the early days of this plane, and flown most Airplanes and some helicopters out there in the Simulator. Most of the press reporting to have flown the A380 simulator have actually done it here in sunny Crawley....
  10. I shall keep you informed.............. on the Simulator front - Yep 2 of possibly 3 in the world that exist for this plane type. Got to fly !
  11. Funny you ask my wife works for Virgin Atlantic.......they have A380 on order, I imagine Richard Branson will find some thing interesting to do with all the extra space just to piss off BA.
  12. Guys - In our full flight simulators anything is possible ! To be honest with you, the pilots job isn't what it used to be, the routes are pre-planned, you can auto take-off and land, I tryed to do a barrel roll in a Airbus A320/340 and the damn plane wouldn't let me, everything is under computer control...... The good old planes like the 747-400 aren't so elegant so you have more opportunities to 'play'. The military planes and helicopters, now thats a different ball game....
  13. Flew one yesterday, nice take off from Singapore, into Hong Kong and back.......bumpy landing due to cross winds otherwise not bad ! Easy to fly, easier than Boeing 777, and about the same as any of the other sidestick fly by wire Airbusses. I have two of them at work ready and waiting for their customers...
  14. Hi Gary, I will give them a go, do you have a number I can call them on ? Thanks !
  15. Thanks for the feedback, who do you service your car with ? I am in Crawley, I have admit have noticed the number of Supras in Crawley is growing......there is a guy at the top of my road with one, Veilside spoiler, TT in black I think, never had a chance to talk to him I don't even know if he is on this forum .......
  16. Could be interested, any chance of a picture ? Do you know what colour illumination it has and what brand did you say it was ? Thanks
  17. Thanks Nick, I think I will keep life easy and go for a 52mm mechanical gauge unless there is a decent 52mm gauge with peak/hold out there !
  18. Can anyone recommend some good garages around this area to get the Supra serviced at ? I used to go to the Toyota Garage in Reigate, they seem to still be able to service Toyota's but are actually now Citroen..... Thanks,
  19. Guys, Will only a 52mm gauge fit where the clock is on the Supra dash or can you drop in the 60mm one in the same hole ? I noticed that most of the electrcial gauges with peak/hold are 60mm.... Thanks !
  20. Hi Guys, Can anyone who has these manuals tell me the electrical wiring diagrams etc.. are for a J Spec, or are these manuals a reproduction of the ones issued for the U.S Supra's ....... Thanks !
  21. Guys, Thanks for the feedback ! I currently have Eibach springs, and a budget which has to allow for front and rear bushes to be changed in the new year. TM Engineering have supplied me the bush kits and the last bit of work was the shocks. The Teins are from all accounts a very nice solution, my pocket can only stretch to the KYB's. Fensport's price sounds good, so I shall check that out first, see if they are the AGX's.
