Me and my son had a great time, it was good meeting everyone and a fun trip from Pease Pottage, except the traffic, with the highlight watching the Porsche being destroyed by one of Supra's in our convey Thanks to the guys who organised this, Scott and Abz Michael, your welcome on the GTR, fantastic Supra you have there, love the colour, I wonder if I could get my GTR wrapped in the same colour ? AFR Tuning have the tools to do it without taking of the head for approx £500+VAT. Great service and a lot of experience in one place (Dude & Muffleman). I am glad I approached it this way, as my problems are more than the valve stem seals.

Could be me guys....I live and work in Crawley, Gatwick road at Thales Training & Simulation. I drive my car to work everyday - Summer or Winter. My old supra is now a wide body manual (jezzybabes car), had that for almost 2 years, and this one use to belong to Aerotop Dave, a veteran of this forum, had this one over a year now.

Greg, Maybe you could PM me a price to give me an idea of the cost ? The problem of course, my car smokes on start-up and also in the traffic, once its warmed up and you 'blip' the accelerator. However on boost and accelerating I get no smoke.... I imagine this may fix only half my problem !

Guys, Need your help......I know TLicense has a great article on how to change these yourself, but I was wondering if any one out there has managed to get them done at a Garage for a reasonable price ? At the moment the one quote I have had, from a reputable garage in Kent, is about £1000 ....I was hoping for something at around the £400-£500 mark.

I think the video clip captures the problem nicely......but we still have two possibilities ! It would good to widen the debate, we have had some very good input from the guys above, I am not sure who else we could involve on the technical front.... The solution to this problem is bound to be of interest to plenty of other people on the forum, if not now certainly in the future !

Have you managed to sort out the smoke problem ? I am still not sure if its turbo seals or valve stem seals on mine......sometimes on start up no smoke.... after 7 days no driving big plume of smoke, switched off started it again no smoke, once warmed up and in traffic, little blips on the accelerator and I get smoke, but none under acceleration (gentle or hard). Did find some light deposits of oil in the IC pipe but not in any large quantity. So I am confused as to where my problem is !

Martin at MKIVSTORE.com, he has kit on his webiste......not an easy job, I think there is thread describing how its done on the forum somewhere.....
