  1. I’m trying a set of eibach springs first. They are pretty well priced imo. My stock shocks are in good condition and I just want to lower it a bit with a slightly firmer ride. If the drop and ride quality is not what I’m hoping for, I will get some KW or custom CW suspension. Or maybe even a set of bilstein shocks for the eibach springs. 2. Thanks for the feedback. Very interested in some pictures of the fitment if you have any. Did you get the speaker panel covers as well?
  3. Anyone experience with these guys? Especially interested in the leather dash, door & speaker panels. They seem to make almost everything leather related to our cars. Just wondering if anyone tried it and what the quality is like. https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=j-f-customs&hash=item51f9a7e2b5%3Ag%3A5IkAAOSwnipWaBlh&item=352080880309&_osacat=0&vxp=mtr&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xsupra+mk4.TRS0&_nkw=supra+mk4&_sacat=0
  4. Is no one using a HKS SLD? I just read there is also a HKS T6 and a Greddy slcc. So which one do i need? As far as I can tell from the conflicted info on the net: Hks type 1: manual transmission only Hks type 2: tiptronic vvti only Hks T6: auto transmission Greddy slcc: all transmissions Can anyone confirm this? 7. 19x9.5 +36 with a 265/30 in the front and 19x11 +48 with a 295/30. No cutting or rolling required. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  8. According to the HKS chart I need a type 2, but I’ve read somewhere on this forum thats for the tiptronic only. :/ Very confusing. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  9. HKS has a sale right now, but I’m confused which SLD to use for a 1996 twin turbo auto. Can anyone confirm if it’s the type 1? (Dealers recommendation).

  11. Yes I've noticed that too. I might give the Vredesteins a try. What about the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A?
  12. Hi guys, In a few weeks my Work wheels arrive and I will need some tyres for next season. The car will be driven when the sky is blue and the sun is shining and is stored away in the colder months . So I'm looking at a summer tyre, with decent/good wet performance. Currently I have some Toyo t1-s which are surprisingly good on the stock wheels, however I've always driven on Continentals or Michelins with my other cars. Pretty open minded in this case, and curious about other brands: - Continental - Michelin - Vredestein - Bridgestone - Toyo New wheel sizes: 19x9.5 and 19x11. Tyre sizes I'm looking into: 265/30-19 and 295/30-19. Car is a healthy stock TT. Any recommendations?
  13. This is the heat shield/box I’m thinking of, but with dual or 4 inch filter. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  14. Well you have two options: 1) sealed air box like you are suggesting 2) heat shield till the bonnet, so no hot air will be drawn to the filters. Similar to the max air box, which is a proven formula for years. With both you can use the oem snorkel to provide cold air. Sorry I can’t make it more specific. English is not my first language [emoji6] Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  15. Agreed with both of you, thats why I wrote about a proper heat shield. I think it can pull a lot of extra air compared to a panel filter or the 3 inch pod filter. But I’m wondering if anyone on the forum tried it and has some data to share Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  16. Like the title says. Love the look of both. Did you see any benefits over a normal 3 inch pod filter or drop in filter? I think either of those with a proper heat shield would definitely add some hp. Here are some pics: TBdev. 2jzmotorsports Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  17. Tbh your best bet is to ask this question on supraforums.com. There are loads of guys running a high stall converter. The Induction Performance 4k stall is pretty popular at the moment and seems to be driving pretty well in daily conditions. Personally I would be looking at a 3500 stall. 18. Final result 304hp. (30 degrees C in the room) Three higher readings of: 314hp 324hp 336hp But those runs all had some issues. So we decided the 304hp run was the best [emoji4] pretty happy with the results! Next: BPU Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  19. It's a j-spec with approx. 130k km. Some good results ellis! Was that with an automatic? Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  20. As the title says. Any precautions to take before going on the dyno? Car is 100% bone stock and 98ron fuel will be used. What numbers can I expect?
  21. Can you reuse all the gaskets on the intake and turbo side? If not, which did you replace?
  22. Some good looking engine bays guys! Anyone got everything powdercoated gloss black? I'm thinking gloss black intake, valve covers, turbo pipes etc. And the coil pack cover, fan shroud and fuse box painted moonstone just like the car. A close second is to polish everything! Looks awesome! Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  23. Looking for ideas. I will go bpu in 2018, and would like to get the engine bay in showcar condition. - Polished - Chrome - Powdercoated - Carbon Show me what you've got. Bpu/stock twin only please Edit: Please fix the spelling error in the title. Typing on my phone xd Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  24. I'm manual through and through for any car, however something tells me you've never driven an TT auto... The A340e is a very good transmission. Shifts smooth, good gear ratio's and is really up to it's task for touring and spirited driving (up to a point ofcourse). Before I bought my TT A/T I was only looking for the 6spd, as all my other cars were always manual cars as well. But after driving a TT A/T for more than a hour it completely changed my mind. Do I prefer a 6spd? Probably yes. But the a340e is very, very well suited for the MKIV.
