I tend to get this as well. Really annoying sound, like styrofoam squeeking or something. Happens once every few weeks and stops as soon as everything is warmed up. The squeek seems to come from the center of the dash, right up near the windscreen. Fck knows what it is.

Mind telling where / how much you payed?

A TC (Torque Converter) has the same function as a clutch in an Auto Transmission. Thats why I first said, it sounds like the TC is slipping. Your ATF should be red, or atleast a tinge of it. If its ever gone brown it definitely needs changing. Change this before you do anything else. Driving on bad oil wont help the thing in any way.

Brown oil could simply be it hasnt been changed in ages. Change your ATF asap and then see what it does! Dont waste time troubleshooting if it can be resolved that easily.

Deffo should be red! Your ATF is the same oil that feeds into your TC.

I think the stock ECU's revlimiter is about 6500. Mine goes up to 7100 or so. Some standalone ECU / fully built Supes rev well over 8k! Check out Atomic Fabio's car on the US SF. Thats a monster!

Torque Converter slipping?

Mines gone up just over 7k rpm cause of my ECU. 6k shouldnt be any prob at all.

The whistle type induction sound on BPU, I can only describe as sounding like an electric drill. Atleast for mine. Dunno of any other whistle type sound though!

Careful if those are some of the "ebay" disks thats found in the US. Loads of crap thats sold over there that can break / warp. Do a search on the US Supraforums and you will find out what I am talking about. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for!

Dont get me wrong, the thing comes online like a bang and youre gone. By no means would I say its undriveable, so long as you dont drive like a twat. There are loads of big single Supras in the US that are daily drivers. Cant be all that bad!
