  1. Hey, I cant make UPS deliver any faster!! (see signature) *edit* If you're implying wingless.. just look how pissed off your car got when you castrated it! Payback's a bitch eh? ..LOL
  2. Talking to my guy on availability of the C-west nose. Most likely it would take a while because its sent from Japan. As for my Veilside nose condition, it was just resprayed in November. Its not a daily driver, so minimal stonechips.
  3. Ugh.. cant.. spend anymore money... must resist... Lemme get back to you in PM on that.
  4. I'm dying to buy a C-west nose. Why dont you buy my Veilside? Its silver and everything!
  5. No doubt Alex. Pound has always been much stronger than the dollar since I have been here, but its good the current low dollar value has benefit some to go APU. Like I said, its just a matter of time. Terry is in a damn good position marketing BL kits to the UK. Especially as a sole distributor.
  6. Alex, no HP numbers on the fans. They were put on with the Single turbo. About the SF guys. Its a pretty damn good resource for ideas and proven work for people in the UK just getting into APU. Its not hero worshipping, its just being smart. I lived 22 years of my life in Florida and the last 4 years here in London. I can easily say the entire tuning "scene" has been alot bigger in the US. APU Supras just took a bit longer to catch on over here is all.
  7. Actually, I dont agree Alex. I wouldnt call it worshiping, its just simple fact that they DO have more Supra tuning experience. Its nothing to do with gas prices, etc.. Its the simple fact people have been doing APU mods for years on many many many cars. The UK surely has the resources and capability of doing the same. It just lacks experience. Look at the tuners in the US and look here. Not Formula 1 etc.. Supra tuners. The picking is pretty slim and most APU cars in the UK are not personal cars, but shop cars. Ie: JPS, Calder, Whiffin, etc. While the UK is still caught up wasting time with hybrids (personal opinion), the US has single turbo Supes everywhere. Its all a matter of time and eventually the UK will catch up in Supra tuning experience. *edited* to say this isnt directed at the Elec fan argument, but Supra tuning as a whole.
  8. Nothing wrong with that Faye. I would rather take it to them than a Toyota dealership for servicing. Its all about the experience!
  9. Come to think of it, I will need a new board title soon.
  10. I will badmouth CW. He lives too dern far away!! Gotta budget fuel costs in just to get a suspension kit.
  11. Hey now! You know damn well I had loads of people walking up and asking to see the new single. I got sick of re-opening it, so I just left it up at Bolney.
  12. Just curious Terry. What caused your fan(s) to fail? Was it one or two and at the same time?
  13. So Terry's experience dosent say anything about the effectiveness of elec fans, just that his were not reliable and that the stock water temp guage isnt very accurate. An easy solution would be to perhaps fit a guage dial for water temp with a warning funtion.
  14. That would probably depend on where you get your copy. Some are more crap than others. I have a copy Veilside nose and the fitment is pretty good IMO.
  15. They used to be the garage that serviced the JIC motors. I wouldnt go and call them gurus, but definitely have Supra experience. I would recommend them for serviceing, but they have limited troubleshooting and no tuning experience. When I had a tricky sensor acting up on my Auto box, they were all for sending it out to the local Toyota dealership to troubleshoot. As for my recommendation, it would be JPS in Milton Keynes. I have had all my work done from servicing to APU mods. Never had a problem and Leon has always been quick to answer my questions and has corrected a few tuning requests labor free.
  16. I've had my elec fans /w Fluidyne Radiator on some fairly spirited driving over the weekend in the heat. I have yet to see my temp guage move at all. Works like a champ. The people that seem to complain about overheating seem to be stacking oil coolers behind. Could be most likely the prob or a combiation of crap fans.
  17. *cough* That would be me cutting 3rd lane to slip road! Had loads of room, just got some dust kicked up. Blame it on me not knowing where we were headed and trying to follow the mass exodus of cars heading to the exit! LOL
  18. Hmm.. something wrong with hotlinking images? http://www.top-pix.co.uk/galleries/motorsport/bolneyjapmeet/images/jm_by_03_(43).JPG
  19. Hey, its me! http://www.top-pix.co.uk/galleries/motorsport/bolneyjapmeet/images/jm_by_03_(43).JPG
  20. And to think he told us that was his "subtle" shirt!
  21. Thing is, I think it depends how much boost youre running. Mine sounds deafening because I am only running 1.3 bar. If I were running higher boost more would be going through the turbo than the wastegate so it would be a bit less in your face. Knowing you, it would be Race Fuel + 2.0 bar daily driver!! Hope its on the road soon mate!
