  1. Think you would find a new stock UK OEM bumper more costly than most aftermarkets!
  2. 400hp Hybrid is nothing to poke fun of! =p Esp considering our stock TTs are only 320ish HP sucking twice the fuel.
  3. Hmmm... makes ya wonder.. http://speed.supercars.net/boardpics/2004-7-23/2533448-Chris%20Va.jpg ... Volta though =(
  4. Came from the board moderator and Elmhurst Toyota Parts dealer. *shrug* http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=216651
  5. Rumor from the US Supra site from a TRD Rep gave notion the MKV will be equipped with a Turbo Tundra V8 engine.
  6. Just read it wrong, as he quoted my thread. Point was, myself and others just tired of the boards degenerating into a Marketing slagfest. Sorry Dude.
  7. Dramaqueens... posts like this has really turned me off from these boards. Everyone out trying to make a $ and bashing people left and right. No one's trying to sell me anything, car was fine after it was tweaked ages ago.
  8. Kit dosent look bad.. like the rear bumper and undertray, but that wing MUST go!!
  9. Prolly overfuelling on startup. Mine used to do this occasionally until my fuel pressure was tweaked down a bit. Never had problems starting, just had to crank it a bit more and once it caught there was a strong fuel smell. Only downside with heavy overfuelling is your plugs tend to foul up quicker and you lose some HP.
  10. The Supra record the post is referring to is top speed (terminal) in a quarter mile / drag race. I think the JUN records are flat out max speed, judging the fact the pictures show the car out on Salt Flats. *Edit* Found this: JUN BLITZ Z32 RESULTS DATE - Aug./1991 CIRCUIT - Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway in USA HOSTS - BONNEVILE NATIONAL SPEED TRIALS RECORD - 419.84km/h DRIVER - S.Koyama

    how to ...

Roy, you would be suprised how much comes clean with a good engine degreaser and some rags. You can soak caked on bits of your engine bay and wipe clean to shiney paint surfaces again. It will prolly take you a few times on your first thorough cleaning, but if you do it every month or so its really really simple to keep clean. As mentioned before, use an Armor All or equivalent rubber / plastic care product on your plastic and hoses in the engine bay for a clean shiny look. You can buy sprays or other products, but I buy the wipes with the product already on it. Comes in a little dispenser can and makes the job really simple. How long you been "talking" about detailing your car now? Arse up and go do it man!
  12. Also forgot, the widest F1 is only sold as 275 width. The S03s have a much wider selection of sizes. (pun intended)
  13. Think the Bridgestone S-03s are supposed to be a bit better than F1s for dry traction. The F1s are a good all around wet/dry performance tyre from what I gather.
  14. Basically any corners with your foot on the gas pedal is a no no. Lost a few Supras last winter due to the rear ends coming out. I rarely drive mine in the rain, let alone snow. =) Then again, Ive never driven an NA so cant compare.
  15. Anyone have a link to this in writing? I really need to sort my front numberplate. Its been off since September last year, but I know its only a matter of time before I get caught.

    Y2K88 turbo

Yep, nearly titanium everything internals. Its built to be a true 10k RPM car. Sick!

    Y2K88 turbo

AtomicFabio from my memory lives in Italy and had a true AbFlug kit fitted to his car. Looks completely badass.
  18. That launch is for pussies. Here's a real LAUNCH!
  19. Hold on just a sec tho... I was in the car the 1st time the #2 went. It was 100% without a doubt non-functional that day. The cloud of smoke was really really unbelievable. No way in hell could it have been slight oil leak or bag, etc. After it went, there was only 0.8bar max and absolutely 0 kick at 4k+ RPM. Since your inspection, all is back to normal yet I think there is something definitely amiss. I took it for a spin Monday and it was really really hesitant to kick 2nd turbo, and when it did it wasnt solid at all. Sometimes it would come up slightly and then drop down to 0.8 again. Sometimes not come on at all. On Monday, I was trailing behind you up the motorway when you were trying to give it stick. I flashed you down because of the same white smoke coming out the back of the car. It wasnt out the exhaust, it was from underneath / engine bay. Im talking about white smoke trailing about 2-3 carlengths at 80mph. I would really consider taking it for a second opinion.
  20. The spring on my PHR kit is for 12psi which ~0.82 bar, which sounds about right. You can get different spring settings by asking your manufacturer.

    Greddy gauges

Did you take it up with Greddy? I would call it a manufacturer defect and tell them you want a probe than can withstand what their guages claim to read.
  22. Supraguy

    Greddy gauges

At what temps!? I would think a guage that can measure 1200C should be able to withstand at least just that! Your Supe shouldnt put out anything more than 1000C on the high side.
  23. Fronts would spin faster. Smaller area in tyre circumference, so at the axel would spin quicker than the rear.
  24. Just plug in your info in the correct spaces and you will get actual tyre height. *Edit* Grr.. lame board wont let me attach an Excel file. If anyone wants it, just PM me your email addy.
