  1. Little update. JIC took the car in this week to have a go at this under warranty repairs. I've got to admit, I am impressed with their service though. They gave me a "courtesy car" for the time its in the shop! Its nothing spectacular, but its a manual MKIII Turbo. I was quite shocked to find its performance is nothing close to the MKIV TT. It still goes, but it puts into perspective what a beast the MKIV truely is! Cant wait to get it back, and hopefully without a glitch.
  2. @Roy: Well, considering I have had wheels for an entire month now, its all still new to me!! Anyone else with some ideas? We can put it up for vote.
  3. If youre using WinXP, click the edit button at the bottom of the Picture Viewer. This should open your picture into MS Paint. From there, go to the toolbar and drop down the "Image" menu. Select "Stretch/Skew" and the you can adjust the size of your picture in Height and Width by %. As Rosie said, click "Save As" so you dont overwrite your large originals.
  4. No matter to me honestly. If it was anywhere around yours, it would help me finding you for the Southend meet. Honestly dont care though. Where did you have in mind Roy??
  5. You're still welcome for a lift Rosie if its out of town for you.
  6. Sounds good to me. SG1 + SG2 then for the following week. So, what are we all doing the weekend of the 27th then? That makes nearly 1 month without a Supe meet. I need my fix!
  7. All in the Supra? Wow.. that should be entertaining!! @Roy: Thanks mate! Its only Temp until i can get a nice close-up.
  8. Add: Supraguy + Supragal (passenger)
  9. Argh... youre not listening to what I am saying. I have the "bus reverse beep" just like others are talking about. The parking sensor is another beep on top of that. No clue if it was a stock option, or if it was an aftermarket thing.
  10. Mine does the same. I always assumed it the HKS SBOV. If it makes any difference, the Supra on Fast and the Furious makes the exact same sound.
  11. Dammit.. I wish I could go. Guys have a beer and a smoke for me!! Have fun and be safe!
  12. Thing is, wouldnt it throw a MIL (!) if there was an ABS or TRAC fault code? Thanks for the reply btw!
  13. Nobody else has anything on the Trac Off light flashing?
  14. Always Optimax with occasional booster. Does this have volatile RAM like the stock ECU? By unplugging it, will it "re-learn" the car settings? Not sure if it will help, but I dont think it could hurt.
  15. Wow. Had a nice little suprise today when I went to take a peek at my ECU wiring today. Pulled back the carpet to reveal I had a Blitz Access ECU PC-23710T installed in the car!! Anyone have any stories good or bad about these things? I am wondering if its got anything to do with a couple problems with my car. #1 Fueling- The car seems to be running very rich. Little bit of light smoke when giving it alot of throttle. (Noticed by Roy on last weekend's London cruise) Is there any way to tone down the fueling on this ECU, or will I have to use my Apexi S-AFC II that is on order to sort it? #2 Trac off Light Flashing- It was pointed out that it could be a faulty speedo conversion kit, so the speedo kit was removed completely (running in KMH) and the fault still persists. On a cold start, when you first turn on the car the Trac Off light will flash. There will be no MIL, Check Engine, etc.. nothing else lit. This only happens maybe 1 in 10 times. But, the worrying part is the fact that the car will not go in reverse when its flashing. To clear the fault, I have to turn off the engine for a few seconds and it goes away. It always comes up on cold start up, and never manifests itself when the car has already been up and running. Any ideas??
  16. Just an FYI. Manual 6sp TT is only 0.7 sec faster 0-60 than Auto TT. Those are from professional drivers, so go figure.
  17. Depends where you want to go with it. Is insurance cost a factor? There is night and day difference in a TT and NA. You cant simply slap Turbos on NAs down the road, because its much more difficult / expensive. If youre just after a Supra for the looks, then maybe an NA is for you. If you want balls out performance, then the TT is the way to go. I can only sit here and tell you why I would chose one over the other. It all comes down to what you want at the end of the day TBH.
  18. Going from 255/40 to 285/40 would really increase your sidewall. If youre that concerned, at least take your profile in to 285/35 or so and you should have no probs. Personally, I am going for 285/30/18 to try and solve my grip problems. Running a BPU on these colder days, and I can never hold grip on 265/35/18 S-02s during full boost on a rolling launch.
  19. *cough* Thought we covered this a couple weeks ago in PMs Rosie? *cough*
  20. Actually, I think I fudged the date up a bit. If this is the 27th I should be good for that weekend. Someone have a list for who is going up till now? Would be nice to meet up with some Londoners again to meet the main convoy.
  21. If I can make this, it will be a last minute announcement. Body shop has the Supe re-attaching the Veilside nose to the metal bracket that broke off a couple weeks ago from my little road "incident". Afterwards, JIC has it for a new speedo converter. If all goes well, I should have it back late in the week. Will let you know either way.
