Well, the BL box is $1800 direct from the US. Factor in a couple hundred for shipping, etc and we are talking 1k GBP? Youre telling me youre going to build and offer box cheaper than that? Couldnt agree more.
-
Maybe I should edit that to say "for street performance"

Lol.. Vortex is the UK distributor for Boostlogic. So, yea.. it will go back to the states! That said, I wouldnt trust a UK tranny builder over the years of experience BL have with Supra specific trannys. I have yet to see a UK company offer the performance and reliability of the BL box, regardless of price. I use one and Dude is using the same in his 10 sec car. BL have cars running 9's with them. Couldnt reccomend any other tranny more.

Is it just me, or do those figures sound out of whack? 50hp difference in the V6 to the V8? A mere 50hp for fuel cost, insurance, weight, etc? I would think the V8 should push 400hp+ at a minimum.

Single Turbo + Winter = Baaaaaad Car sits in the drive and use the good old trusty London Underground for the daily commute.

As said earlier, a Boost Controller can not turn down the boost! It will take your base boost dependant on your wastegate spring and can hold it closed to build only more boost. **EDIT** just read your reply that you have a restrictor ring fitted already... dunno what to say TBH. Do you have any + boost response from your Boost Controller?

This pic is about a year old, and I dont have an update one with the TRD spoiler. Photoshop cleanup pic: Front end: I REALLY need to update my pics. Thanks for giving me something to do this weekend.

From another Silver Veilside owner, it does look really good on the silver cars. (unbiased opinion honestly) You lose ALOT of the lines in a black or dark colored car. I originally had a full Veilside kit, but later removed the spoiler for the exact same reason. Looked badass from the front, but just way over the top from the rear. Now I replaced the spoiler with a TRD Carbon Fiber. Looks pimp! If it wasnt a TRD, it would be stock.

Youre talking about the same retailer that generated its own hate fansite Suprastorescam.com (since closed) I have never heard of an online retailer staying in business as long as they have considering their appalling reputation. I have sourced many parts through both Suprastore and MVP. I will never EVER use Suprastore again, unless forced by gunpoint. The difference in Customer Service between the two are just in entirely different leagues. Here's a short on my Suprastore experiences: Ok, 1st hand experience of Suprastore pretty much confirms what most have said. I have sourced about 90% of my materials through them, only due to the fact I am American and have a little shipping deal to avoid Import Taxes. I basically spread most of everything across 3 orders. The worst experience was the Apexi S-AFCII, which they claimed was in stock. The common bits were shipped within the week, but the AFC wasnt included. When I phoned them up, they said they were due in the next week. A little frustrated, but hey... 1 week right? Well, 5 weeks later they finally confirm it shipped out to me. Other orders were also broken into different shipments as they arrived in stock to Suprastore varying from 1-3 weeks + delivery time to the UK. Most phone conversations to customer service left me with no answers to ETAs on shipments! Mindful that everything was promised "in stock" while they were busy charging my american Credit Card. If youre looking to purchase through a US supplier, go with Dusty at MVP. There is simply no contest.

Only thing I want from the F&F Supra is that mysterious "quick release" Targa Top!

Sorry to hear mate. I had my Racing Hart CRs a month or two before you did, and mine will be 1 year old in December. They still look flawless. Lots factor into the condition of the wheels. Ie: length of time coated in brake dust, cleaning fluids, cleaning abrasive materials.. etc. Thing is, for what I payed for them brand new I only wash them by hand with mild cleaning products. I would never trust a drive-up wash on them. Just my 2cp.

Before I dig deep into the thing, can anyone give any advice? Swear it worked a couple weeks ago, then I tried to use it the last week with no joy. All dash indications seem fine, but it simply does not get warm at all. I have already checked the 50A heater fuse in the engine bay, which looks fine. Is there any other common fault points that I should be looking for? Thanks!

You know me. Here, there... little bit of everywhere!

Welcome Ryan. Love the motor. Bring the tuning voice of reason to this BBS. Sooooo much misinformation around in this country purely down to lack of Supra experience. -Fellow yankee- Jason

Does it come on solid, or flicker, or intermittent? Can be any number of things. If its flickering, it could be as simple as your bonnet not closed all the way causing the light to come on / off. Other than that, if its solid you need to try and pull engine codes to see whats causing the warning light.

Also read that its good to purge the lines before a run to clear the warm NO2 in the lines. Once purges, it forces colder (more dense) NO2 into the lines out the bottle for a bigger shot. All kinda wasteful IMHO.

Drag Radials do make a big difference. I was running just at 500rhhp at 1.3 bar, but on 19" street tyres. That on top of Pod's shitty track and I couldnt get below 12.2, but could not grip traction till nearly the top of 2nd gear.
-
Not a problem at all for the drag strip. Most big HP cars use J-spec rear brakes to allow 15" wheels for Drag Slicks.

Anyone have a spare stand ticket for Santa Pod? Been out of the loop and apparently theyve all gone. So, does anyone have a ticket thats not going? Please PM if you can help. Thanks!

Hey, dont take my word for it... http://www.suprastorescam.com/ How many suppliers you know thats turned so bad to earn an anti-fansite?

I guess warning someone against one of the shittiest US Supra parts stores qualifies me of being "a tosser"? Yea, I loved ordering parts through Titan over the phone. Me> "You guys stock the SAFC-II"? TitanCS> "Yes, they are ready for delivery" *I place order along with a couple Gs worth of other items* Partial Shipment arrives at my Florida address. I phone them up and they tell me they are out of stock on half my order and its on backorder. Over the course of the next month, parts slowly trickle to the doorstep in Florida. Me>"Where is that SAFCII you told me was ready to ship?" TitanCS>"Sorry its on backorder, but we can ship immediately the SAFC-I" Me>"Uh.. gee... no thanks" Nearly 3 MONTHS later, my AFCII shows up on my door in London. There are hundreds of customers with similar and much worse cases. Some people waiting for half a year of delivery of parts that were paid up front, etc. So, call me a tosser but I am looking out for the members of the BBS to pray they dont have to go through what I did. If Titan claims they have it, I can nearly guaruntee Dusty@ MVP will stock it. My 2c

I would not touch Suprastore (Titan Motorsports) with a 10ft pole! This is personal experience and hundreds of others' opinions that you dont have to search much for on the US Supra forums.

Got the majority of my GZ 7 speaker setup on a shelf in the garage. Two dash tweeters are still in place, door speakers removed, rear speakers removed, rear sub still in place (inacvtive), Head unit on shelf, under-seat Amp on a shelf.

Most vids you hear with the "fluttery dump" is Single Turbo cars with compressor surge. When you lift off the pedal, some of the air is reversed through the turbine before going through the BOV. This causes the fluttery sound youre referring to. You can actually hear it on stock TTs if you are under very light boost and sometimes surges back through your compressor vice through your BOV. Excessive surge really isnt good on Turbo internals as it can prematurely wear from stresses. I have the HKS SSQV and mine went flutter crazy after putting on my PHR Single Turbo.
