  1. Intellistart is more fun
  2. Ooh, Mine is not that bad, there is a slight clonk if you back off the revs at low speeds, but nothing that would make me worry. Dunno then, you could check the diff oil, the plug is easy to get to, there is a fill plug on the side and the drain on the bottom. If you remove the side fill one you should see some oil drain out, it should only be filled to this point. Hope this is of some help.
  3. Yip, mine seems a bit clonky too. I have had the diff oil chnged recently and didn't notice any difference. I think they are generally a bit clonky due to the Getrag box. I used Motul Diff oil, takes about 1.6L
  4. Has anyone found out if the Sup has a pollen filter or any filter for that matter?
  5. There was a guy on Supraforums getting these done in carbon fibre, looked quite nice. There were about $30 shipped. My 2p's worth........
  6. BTT Anyone?? Usefull need to know stuff when doing pads and bleed UK Trac. Thanks.
  7. No point getting my hands dirty if he's willing to do it for me, but i if he's busy i may tackle it myself. Hopefully he won't be Cheers. Does anyone have some useful info on what i might need to know when doing this. Thanks.
  8. Cheers Bryan. I will keep that in mind, i should be ok though as my mate is a mechanic and hopfully has all the bits and pieces.
  9. OK, after reading the search results, I want to clear a few things up. I will be doing a front pad change and fluid change. UK Spec Manual. I have the pads (stock) and 1.5L Motul RBF 600. Do I need to buy a shim fitting kit? I want it to be easy as possible! I found these part numbers, are they correct for UK Fronts? 04947-14010 Fitting kit - £10.40 04945-14110 Shim kit - £9.94 Posted Matt.H. I see that some of you recommend removing the squeal shim from the pads, is this required or just personal choice, does it improve things? (They seem hard and good at the moment) Next is the fluid change. I found a post about bleeding the trac system when doing the brakes, this is the bit that sounds fun!! Is this required? obviously it is, but being no expert on this, it might be disastrous. Are there any clear idiot proof instructions out there? or tricks that I might need to know when doing it. I was hoping to just keep bleeding the new fuild through, the same way i have done in the past on other cars. Thanks in advance
  10. No, i just did a Search and all was revealed It was a previous picture someone had posted.
  11. It's nice and hidden...... so only small children can find it and take the fuses out. Hope you sort it. HTH
  12. Yip... Drivers side, up on the right side. Looks like this.......
  13. What about the other fuse box (Drivers side foot well)
  14. When the battery is disconnected for that long the ecu will definitely reset, it takes a few miles before it's back to normal, mine did drive ok but if you stopped at a junction it would want to stall, at least for the first mile or so, but after that its fine, if you are in any doubt then pop it out, and start it up and see if it's any better. Do you get any lights on the FCC (You shouldn't see any at idle, only when it's activated) HTH
  15. Sounds like it, take it for a run so the ecu can re-learn its fueling.
  16. That does look nice. How much ??
  17. I recently done this mod and all you have to do is separate the fog light and reverse light from the loom, look at the pattern of the lugs on the light and using a craft knife, make one of the lug holes in the light a bit bigger and that's it. Stick the fog in the red one and the reverse in the white one. Done
  18. Cheers Peter. I think i will take CW's advice and leave them alone, and be carefull when removing the second one.
  19. Should i worry about checking them for any signs of damage/ware? Is it something that may need replacing as a matter of course, given it's age? (10Yr OLD Car) Thanks.
  20. What does this sensor actually do? I understand there are 2 fitted in the UK spec, one at the turbo, and one in the second cat, how do they work together? I will be going decat and wanted to know whether i should replace them, or if there are any checks/tests i can do to see if they are good or faulty. Thanks.
  21. Yes, you need 2 of each type. As for bulbs, there is a web site that sells orange & red bulbs that are coated silver, i can dig out the info if you want. I think it is ace bulbs.co.uk or something like that. I got a set of the orange silver ones and they are ok.
  22. Looks good. you will have to stick in a set of silver bulbs, or paint them, it cleans it up much more.
