  2. Many thanks, any idea where to purchase the shorter belt?
  3. Great, have you already done it? i have read somewhere the belt hits the redundant pulley or needs some kind of mod to (damper) to keep the belt in line? Do you know the part number for the shorter belt?
  4. My Aircon bearing has seized up. i am not bothered about having Aircon fitted yet dont want to remove the whole unit. is it possible to bypass the air compressor unit and fit a shorter belt? Is there anything i need to be aware of, and last but not least where can you purchase a shorter belt?
  5. The pulley on the bottom right on this pic has started to stick and not rotate. Can anyone identify it and are they available to purchase?
  6. Sorted it after many attempts to adjust the setting on the dashpot (and removing and refitting the Throttle Body assembly) we decided to leave it off. The idling now goes down straight away to a sensible 950/1000 RPM. Is it recommended to replace them with a new one or will it have any long term damage without it being fitted? If anyone has a part number it would be appreciated Thanks for all your help. D.
  7. Great i will give this a try many thanks i will let you know
  8. Problem: When we rev the engine and leave to drop to idle it drops to around 1300 RPM. If we grasp the throttle unit and apply a little pressure it seems to drop the revs to 950/1000 RPM? See attached video. Action taken by ourselves; We have thoroughly cleaned the throttle body, ICV, new plugs fitted, all hoses checked. Question: Anyone any idea what could cause this problem? and how to resolve it. WhatsApp Video 2022-03-02 at 15.09.09.mp4
  9. Mk4 N/A 3000 Hi i require a new one of these any idea where i can get one from and the correct name of them? Renewed plugs gave a good service changed oil oil filter. Cleaned out all throttle body housing and idle sensor. Car runs ok but idles at 2000 / 1800. When we removed this part MAF / VAF ? form the housing the revs went down ? After we had changed the plugs the problem seemed to start where it idles at 2000 hence the full service clean up etc... Any way you can test if its faulty? Tried looking online but to no avail any advice welcome
