  1. The siren will have 345 T on the side. I now have the Supra T5000 Alarm unit Toyota Service bulletin from August 1993 courtesy of Toyota Redhill.
  2. The Castle Key is used to enable and disable the Horn to stop you going def whilst working under the bonnet. You can also put something heavy to hold down the bonnet switch on the right side near the bulhead/wing area. which will silence the alarm.# Has anyone got a picture of the Horn for the UK spec Supra, I think the one that came with my car has been switched for another type, possibly because it had failed (as they can do)?
  3. You'll be able to get it for free on a MBOX a Android tv box ... look on eBay for M8S about £30. then look on You Tube for kodi installation and configuration. you then be able to view it using Exodus or Paradox Video Addons. you get free everything including Amazon Prime, latest movies.... You Tube has vids and more vids on how to set these tv streaming boxes up.
  4. Interesting info guys, yes £400 if you can find one that is, but maybe it is the AC Amplifier, considerably more available and common across all Supra Mark 4 's Luckily, I have a complete set of manuals from 1993 (printed and book binded) so I will dismantle the clock/temp and test the elements and see why the little button above the clock window doesn't toggle to Temperature, pressing my button does nothing, the time remains in the window. Anyway I love these little electrical challenges. Thanks for all your messages (so far) keep them coming. Wordy
  5. Hi, I'm, a newbie, Just joined having purchased a 1993 vin # 800004015 U.K Spec Supra to go with my U.K. Spec 1995 Celica GT-Four, both will be shown at Car shows as I am a member of Surrey Classic Vehicle Club. It is unmolested, it is U.K. sold, it wasn't cheap! it's an investment! which is the reason I got it, And! I love it. All seems fine on the Supra except the Clock which shows the time ok but also has a button to display the outside air temperature, but it does not display change to temp from time. This version of the clock is not provided on J Spec cars just unique (I believe) to U.K. Specs and some Europe specs perhaps. p/n 83910-14410. (J-Spec and US specs are p/n 83910-14400). So, I did an A/C Amplifier diagnostic test and it flew through without any issues, suggesting that the clock itself is faulty, not the temp sender unit behind the dash nor the one down the front of the car, since these are used in the A/C Amp test as references for the A/C system. Has anyone had any experience with this fault, any thing I might try before ripping the dash out to see and test the clock on the bench? Thxs Wordy
  6. I have purchased a Supra and as a U.K. spec comes with the Scorpion T5000 Alarm system as fitted. I know all about these as I have a Celica GT4 also a U.K. spec with the same alarm system and have managed to get the alarm horn working after a couple of times it went faulty. When not working it had an issue with the Lock/Unlock chirp response that occurs when you operate the remote key fob, in tandem with the side light flashers on the vehicle. But the alarm would still sound OK, just the chirp feature did not. I traced the fault to the Horn Unit that is an AC operated Unit unlike most DC Horn units available today, so a replacement DC unit off eBay will not solve your problem, unless you are very clever with electricals and components. You just have to troll for old U.K spec Celica's and find one - I did! The Battery NiCad batteries originally fitted were VRE AA 600 Nickel Cadmium 600mAh capacity and after 5 - 10 years would die, but you can fit modern Ni-MH batteries which come typical capacity 1300 - 2500 mAh. Anyway the battery pack (x4) is only there to keep the alarm going even if the car battery is disconnected. I also have the Original Installation manual as used by Toyota dealers who retro installed these Scorpion T5000 Alarms after vehicles arrived in U.K. to comply with U.K laws on Alarms. The wiring for the Supra would be similar to the Celica. 918 T and 901 T units that are the 2 boxes in the T5000 system are located under the drivers seat beneath the carpet. Similar 918 T and 901 T on the Celica located up behind glove box.
