1. mine came with these, they work, look ok, but I don't have anything to compare them to, and the front versions are pretty pish, but I have just got some uk specs to go on the front to get her stopping a bit better in any case.
2. I was trying to reply to Thomas_germany on page 4 of this thread, as Maplin seem to have no stock of anything up here in aberdeen. So his diode version for a Euro, could be a bargain.
3. Can anyone point me in the direction of what diodes to use for this.
4. My son has just turned 17 so I am letting him drive using the special leaner only insurance its costs me about £50 per month, you can save a couple of pounds by buying a longer policy, but as stated above as soon as they pass their test it is not valid. I did do some exploritary quotation checking. Supra, forget it it was £5.5k (more than the car me), my wifes A3 2.0TDI cabrio, £1400, the cheapest little run around I could find was £800, but that meant buying yet another car. I think I will pay the extra for the audi, and my son will be over the moon, about whizzing around in a convertible. It seems some cars that are far less likely to be driven by leaners are not much more expensive. Putting myself on his insurance as a named driver brought the policy down by a few hundred pounds as well.
5. Me 3, I am in Aberdeen, and have a new belt ready to go on. Will be the first time I have ever this too. Happy to make a meet up to assist us all.
6. Hi, I need to get rid of the nasty fog light dangling from my bumper. I did hope to just do a cheeky red light bulb into one of the reversing lights. The red bulbs I bought from fleabay are showing up with only slightest red tinge in reality, not red enough for a fog in my opinion. I might well go down the tried and tested conversion mentioned elsewhere on here, but was wondering if it would be ok to run the 3rd brake light on the boot lid as a fog light. Any suggestions?
7. I have the active spoiler on my NA.
8. Any plans for a meet this Sunday
9. Hey , lunchtime today a highly externally modified supra was spotted on union street, looked mad, loved it.
10. Hi, In removing the perished boot lid blocks and badly corroded screws, the screw heads are a right mess. Can anyone tell me what thread size they are and I can get some from a local supplier. The larger bolts from the lid blocks are actually ok, its the lower blocks connected to the body, 2 screws per block, that I need to replace.
11. Just hit the bleed nipple whilst trying to remove the front suspension arm, and the casting has cracked all around the nipple and its leaking fluid. AR$E. Anyone got a spare they no longer want.
12. Only looking for one of these blue things with the fasteners that secure it through the glass. thanks
13. just googled blueprint and soarer, nothing seems to look like what I am after, thanks for trying
14. Ah got what you mean now. I was asking for the whole arm cause that what I had sussed, will have a look at the other bits and try not to bust them removing the arm. I am not going to do it until I have fixed the broken spring on my other car, so it can be off the road a while. I have just been trying to explore other avenues before putting my hand in my pocket for £370 for a 'kin goosed ball joint. I did see japspeed adjustables for £500 per pair that looked good but no one has any left in stock.
15. The ball joint is knackered so it does not matter if I destroy it removing it. Just need to try not to destroy any else with the cost of these parts.
16. MY car passed the MOT but was still pulling hard left when the steering wheel was released. Took it for alignment and they showed me that the ball joint was goosed if you wobble the wheel side to side. So does anyone have a low mileage version still in decent condition for the passenger side or am I facing a new one (ouch). Also following the car having a previous smashed side window replacement the round blue bump stop the screws into the glass is missing, stopping me from setting the close height properly.
17. I am in Aberdeen, so it was the local meet yesterday, and there was another classic car event on up here as well, so I was spoilt for choice, but had told my lad we would go to Crail for the Banzai meet and give the car its first ragging. Its why we bought it, something not so pristine so we can have some fun in it. Its a pity there were not a few more trade stands, or other things going on.
18. Yep that was the one I saw. I was there with my lad, still not convinced who enjoyed it the most:) He wasn't chuffed when I threw him out to take some photos for one of the runs, told him I needed to run in superlightweight mode.
19. Made it down, saw only one other road supra there. Got slaughtered up the strip running a poor best time of 15.57 for the 1/4 mile, but what fun.
20. Darn, I need a drivers side silver mirror. Also the rear box heat shield if it is in good condition. One of the blue window stops that attaches to the glass. Lower passenger side front suspension arm, if it is in good condition.
21. Anyone going? Hoping to (with everything crossed) get my MOT Friday, and get us down from Aberdeen to enjoy this.
22. Hey, you can add me in too please. Though struggling for the love to grow yet, once she is MOT'd and on the road, I am sure things will get better.
23. Drivers side not too bad, passenger side battered front and back.
24. Was only going to be a diy repair. Are there places that will sort them. I will take some pics when I get home.
