  1. I have removed my front hub today to do the wheel bearing and found my ABS sensor broken and then siliconed back on. I know the scenario with actual supra sensors, but having a look around many other sensors especially Toyota ones, browsing through ebay, look very similar, and are dirt cheap. Has anyone tried something different, or has technology moved on.
  2. You could always mount one on your dashboard, like the tool did who had mine before me. Now have some nice holes in the dash, along with the poorly painted vents.
  3. Thanks guys the megazip site works a treat.
  4. Mine were completely rusted, all of the bolts sheared rather than coming undone, Going to run without them now. They have just had new wheel bearings and are warming up before getting a lick of paint.
  5. All I see is a list of parts, no diagrams.
  6. Does anyone know where there are diagrams to go with the lists of parts that can be sourced. It was be so much easier find bits off exploded diagrams than just a list of numbers and a description on a website. There are a few in the maintenance guides, but it's very hit and miss.
  7. link to the video clip of the noise
  8. Started the strip down tonight, opened the pump up, its a bit dirty, but nothing obviously causing any problems, all the vanes are there in one piece, no really bad scoring etc, will go down to the dealers tomorrow to order the rebuild kit. Not convinced its going to make any difference. I do still need to check the flow control valve seals, but will do that tomorrow with compressed air as suggested.
  9. Ah brilliant, I will get in touch with my local Toyota for a rebuild kit. Need some new calliper bleed nipples as well.
  10. yep I did got loads of black flakey bits out of it used some detergent and gave it a real good shake. I have pulled the pump and the new fluid looks pretty dirty already. The ebay pumps look like the correct item. Any idea how much a Toyota rebuild kit would be.
  11. My steering pump is still very noisy after putting new fluid in, when you turn the steering wheel. I was considering buying one of the ones on eBay, considerably cheaper than genuine and even a refurbished. Anyone tried one?
  12. Hi all, some clown decided that the vent surrounds infront of the passenger needs a craply painted coat of silver. I have stripped as far as shown in the picture, whithout wanting to break anything they don't seem to come out any further. Do I need to remove the whole dash surround to get them out.
  13. myself and chainy not getting any response, anyone got info, wiring diagrams etc, even just pictures of their own.
  14. Auto spoiler isn't working how it should and I was wanting to set it up with a manual control. I have seen a few posts mention this but cannot find anything definitive on how you do this exactly. Has anyone on here done this, or have a link to a guide? I would like to use the existing switches to control it.
  15. Hi, I have new bearings ready to go on and have bought a press for the winter re-build. Was not planning replacing the hubs, what happens to them that they need replacing
  16. Planning on taking mine off the road as well, want to cleanup the underside and treat all the rust.
  17. It's like marker pen ink. It does come off if you rub it hard. I could bring mine even over for you to have a look at, a have a nose at your new beast, whilst I am there
  18. If you want to dye the carpet black I have a couple of litres left over from the 5l I bought, mine does look serious better than when it was a grey stained mess.
  19. It was a lonely event last month
  20. Jonny, did you see the post using the pulley belt looking method on youtube, did not like the look of it myself but may get you sorted out.
  21. I was getting mine done by Laws tyres up here in Aberdeen, the 4 wheel set up was going to cost £98. They found the nearside lower front ball joint link was goosed so could not complete it and so they did not charge me. Was a bit worried as it just came from and MOT, where it passed. I have now replaced the arm and the geometry is well out but since I am going to do the wheel bearings I am putting off getting it set back up and it costing me again.
  22. Last Sunday of the month coming up. I will be heading for the new spot at makro for 1pm, anyone else coming.
