  1. Hi In performing the clean up of the underneath I have come across cracks in the steel. This has occurred on both sides. I am proposing to drill a hole at the end of the crack and then weld along it. Anyone else seen these, what have you done about it.
  2. Hi this looks very interesting but the link does not work even though i have registered and logged in it says "You are not authorised to read this forum." Searching through the forum there is a post on connectors, but I cannot find one one this unit. Any chance you could add into this forum a proper method on how this needs to be installed.
  3. TCB are still listing the genuine arms on their website. Its just a nearly £400 bill i could do without until the ball joints are goosed, and then i wont have any choice. It would be lovely to renew the lot, but some guys are spending what i paid for the whole car on new suspension arms and front/rear subframe rebuilds. The car is just my fun thing, cant afford to go Superpro, so was just going to replace all my arm & diff bushings with Strongflex poly bushes.
  4. I am refurbishing my rear end and having dropped the subframe and undone the nuts and the camber bolts through the arms are seized on solid. I have cut off the first one and pressed out the bush. Is this the whole bush or do they have a metal outer sleeve that I need to cur out of the arm housing, the surface inside is not very smooth at all.
  5. Just keep bleeding, mine was was a source of frustration for ages, and then as if by magic a slug of air came out the 4th of 5th attempt on one of the back lines, and hey presto, decent brakes
  6. I had mine out the other day to replace the seat covers, but didnt get a picture. Is it not the threaded drive rod?
  7. 1. Blythmrk 2. Ellis 3. Mike2JZ 4. Mattdavies - 1 5. Ian Ian x 2 6. samdale 7. griffsplace
  8. i did consider an aftermarket one from ebay USA. only thing is they are LHD to short extensions for the brake line would be needed to get the pipes to the other side.
  9. Thanks Keron, I will have another go at them tonight. Not sure on the origin of the calipers, pretty sure I bought them from you a while back:eyebrows:
  10. Hi, I bought the proper clips for my brakes (I think) and when putting them on they just dont look right. Have i got the right ones, can anyone post me a picture of whats theirs looks like.
  11. Sounds Interesting, how long as we talking about waiting?
  12. Hi Anyone know where I can get these bulbs from the cigarette lighter and the heater control. Dealer only??

Price:- £150 Postage:- P&P ontop Item will be packaged in/with:- Or Collection From:- Aberdeen Any other information relevant to the sale. Pictures:-
  14. Car is a touch lower than stock now its on coilovers. There certainly was a fair amount of "spirited" driving on trip. The old NA kept up with some much more powerful and newer machinery on the trip. It was driven pretty hard for hours on end through some excellent winding and flowing roads.
  15. Just back from a good run, 600+ miles and once I removed my tyres to look at the brakes to see why they are juddering, I have noticed that both front tyres have worn quite a lot more on the inside. Its doesn't pull to one side and I had the tracking done after doing the wheels bearings last winter. is the camber out as well? Do garages check for all setttings when they do the alignment? On the judder side I checked the disc with a DTI and it was about 0.5mm out, then removed and checked the hub, which was about 0.2mm out. Looks like that's the source of the juddering.
  16. Any body got a spare kicking about. I set about mine to tighten the slack out of it, did the drivers, but the passenger one slipped and the spring is now goosed and wont rewind.
  17. Finally got some time to sort this out, simple, just kept bleeding the rear lines, got my daughter to do the up and down pedal and I locked the nipple off each return stroke and a great big glug of air and shitty fluid came out in the end. Now dare I go back and try to get the UK spec brakes back on and sorted. Of course I will, one at a time.
  18. There is a youtube series, look up Bluudys Garage, where he does it pretty cheaply and with basic kit. Think the guy has joined on here now.
  19. We did meet back in April. Low turn out, but was good to meet up, Could go for it the end of this month.
  20. Define what your budget is and I am sure you will get some good advice on what to expect for that kind of money. I went for the cheapest and most local supra I saw when I jumped into the scene without a huge amount of research. Pretty sure with what I know now, I would never have done that. Look for something that someone has owned for some years, and has plenty of history. Mine was sat on a drive, pretty much unloved and abused, not a scrap of paperwork came with it. Hopefully you are in a position to view a few before making a judgement call.
  21. Is this standard postage fees, are they prepared to use a sensible postage service if you contact them. I have looked at stuff on ebay from the states and it varies wildly in postage for similar items.
  22. I refurbed the calipers off the car. Surely pushing the cylinder in and the pressure transmitting back the way is no difference that the brake being applied. I am considering an aftermarket master cylinder from the states, cheaper than a refurb kit, yes the ports are on the other side for LHD, but I will just make a couple of short extension pieces.
  23. So my Supra is certainly not a daily driver and managed a whopping 2000miles last year. I got the supra last year with no service history, so it had a really thorough servicing of pretty much everything possible. What do recommend I do, just change the oil and filter?
