Hi all Does anyone have a manual shift interior trim piece that goes on to the centre console? Ideally not brand new, happy to buy used as I plan on repainting it anyway.
-
Update all. After extensive trouble shooting it turns out one cap leaked so badly it actually damaged through multiple layers of the Pcb. And despite replacing all caps and even attempting to repair the multi layer damage, i get an error code 31 when putting the ECU back in the car. So the car starts, and runs but runs really rough. I have tried to rebuild traces with copper and checked wiring at the ECU too but still get the error 31 ECU code. I successfully repaired the traction ECU, no problems with that as it tested OK in a friend's Auto TT, but sadly appears the ECU is a write off. FYI, removing the caps accelerated the damage to the eyelet hole but that was inevitable anyway as the components and PCB seemed to crumble away.

Will do mate

So the absolute correct cap requirements for an Auto TT Supra are as follows : Auto ecu All caps are Nichicon high current capacitors (can be found on Farnell or DIGI key) 100 mf 10v x2 220 mf 10v x1 47mf 63v x2 10mf 50v x2 15mf x 35v (this one is on the second board that folds outwards) Traction ECU 47mf 63v 330mf 35v 100mf 10v 220mf 16v 820mf 35v 10mf 50v Total for these came to around £7 but direct shipping was 15 lol. Will post pictures during the soldering as well as what I used to make it easy.

Hi all. I have had similar issues as described by OP. Caps in my Auto ECU and traction CONTROL ECU have both leaked. I am re soldering high current capacitors and replacing them so will let you if this solved anything. Cap ratings provided below for 7 caps in auto ecu for reference if anyone is interested or finds this useful in future. 100 mf 10v x2 220 mf 10v x1 47mf 63v x2 10mf 50v x2

Heritage program: Poll for A80 Supra parts (Mods)

Toyota have been probing these questions again, so I have sent them the link to this thread. I hope the easy to make parts get churned out then attention can be diverted to parts which are more difficult to manufacture. -
Hi all After the intake valve cover for a non VVTI 2JZ GTE. Mine has cracked.

Hi all. Was wondering if anyone is selling an intact supra center console auto trim piece. The one which contains the ash tray.

Does anyone know where i could get it welded from??

Hi all. I'm after a used valve cover (#2 side with the oil cap) as mine has a rather bad crack in it. I was thinking of getting it welded but would rather replace it. Please pm me if you have a spare you are willing to part ways with. Cheers

Here's a picture of the seats. Anyone got any suggestions? And i was thinking about the plates and bolt methods but i was wondering are the bride seats compatible with a side mounting kit like the cobra frames. Like these.

So i bought a logitech G29 and the shifter and thought id share with you all. If you have a PC i highly recommend you take a look at Asseto Corsa, its one of the best driving simulator games out there. The steering wheel has force feedback so you can feel the road and bumps, understeer etc. All in I paid £150 for the wheel and gearbox and they do a decent job. Will soon buy an Oculus Rift VR headset to make it much more realistic and maybe a bucket seat with a proper frame to put the gearbox and wheel on. Anyone else have a simulator set up?

Hi all, hope you are having a great Christmas. So as the title suggests, the bride low max seats are a tad low. Not anything ridiculous but i would like them to be maybe an inch higher. I have the bride rails installed and I was wondering how people have tackled this before. Are the rails usually height adjustable? Or have people used spacers. Meanwhile im sat on a pillow. Im around 5ft 8.

Electronic Shifter and Flappy Paddles on the TT Autobox

Really hope you can bring this to the masses. I admire your ingenuity seriously fella well done. -
Yeah rust freaks me out. Its like cancer. Only rust I've spotted on the Supra is round the boot where the rear glass is. Typical really l. Other than that its been waxoiled since its been imported. And done recently too. This Celica is really bad. Will most likely turn it into a track car. This is just to pass the Mot

I picked up a Toyota Celica VVTLI a few months ago and the thing was in a bad state. I finall got round to tackling the rust which would be an MOT failure due to the nature of the location. This isn't a professional repair, just me having a go. Ive had some experience with MIG welding before. Anyway i cut the rust out but it just got more and more. A tiny bubble revealed all this. Going to treat it with HAMMERITE rust reverse, then weld new panels in. Grind down, use fibreglass body filler, filler primer and finally paint and clear coat. Only way to properly repair rust unfortunately. If u ever spot rust get it asap. Or this will await you.

After a BOV for the Supra, ideally with the brackets and mounting hardware. Does not necessarily have to be a HKS BOV but would be ideal there are other good ones. My old SSQV has died. Not too sure how to repair it. I have installed a new C clip and seal but It has the old adjustable spring in it. Look like its packed up from the back.

ahhh thank you mate. how did you change your de cat down pipe? I assume you had it machined and bolted on? I'm going to scour the web now for some second hand CT20A's. Will import them If I have to. Most that I find now are form Aristos. Do you know what type turbo you had? CT20B,C? etc? I don't know if I have to get an exact match with the letter i.e. CT20- X?
-
MY pockets are restricting me from going single.. but i should start saving. If a single turbo snuffs it at least i could get another relatively easily. These CT20as are hard to come by. Good shout mate. The only way I know its spitting oil is through a borescope camera into the intakes. the actual turbines themselves are intact but the axle has play in it and wobbles. Only way I guess.. to sort it is to pull them out. then I can assess exactly what needs doing. These ceramics are known for cracking near the wastegate too apparently.
