Thanks, I read through that post already. The issue is that the LS rotors I think are slightly wider than TT and even trimming the dust shields isn't enough. I guess I will just cut a section out and try to remove them this way. It's just almost impossible to find a tool small enough to remove the star bolts that hold the shield in place, and they're pretty corroded as well.

Hey all, not sure how active the forum still is and it's my first post so here we go.. I recently bought some LS400 brakes with rotors as I've only heard good things of the "Bolt-on" swap. Went to fit the new rotors on and ran into the NA dust shield being too small (so much for bolt-on). I checked my clearances and I don't think I'll be able to fit the new rotors even if I grind off most of the shield. I also am thinking of putting TT spec brake shields on to keep it as clean as possible. The only issue is that to take off the brake shield you have to take off the hub itself. I basically want to know if it's possible to take off the hub without touching the bearings, as I don't want to have to replace them since they're in great condition. I removed the axle hub bolt cap to reveal the bolt. Is it possible to remove this bolt, only remove the axle hub (the piece with the studs for wheels) to get the brake shield off then either install a new shield or just bolt the axle hub right back up? I may be over simplifying things and so I want to know if this is possible at all. Basically do not want to touch any oil seals or any other components inside of the hub. Also my apologies if my terminologies are incorrect, I'm not a mechanic by any means I just like to get my hands dirty in my spare time.
