Hi guys.... i took my car for a drive yesterday night to the gym (which is 5 minutes away, so once the car had warmed up I gave her a little boot full and it didn't boost properly.... The screamer pipe doesn't kick in, the turbo wasn't fluttering like it normally does etc, what could this be? It also sounds like there's a blow coming from the exhaust not sure on what part... maybe the external gates loose or could I be right in thinking these are the signs of a cracked manifold? Any advice is helpful I'll be looking over the car when I get home as it was too late to look last night. Cheers

Yeah i'll just be using a 4-5inch silicone reducer, just a personal preference for me, and i'll be using it in future anyway so might aswell upgrade it now and use it sooner rather than later

Ok so a little update, I've given the whole car a clean inside and out, engine bay, interior panels off etc (6 hour detail)... first thing I did was replace my spark plug cover to a whiftbitz carbon cover. I've had to replace my auto gearbox as the previous one failed, so I got a replacement from lee at SRD which I then took a journey down to David P and had it shimmed! Whilst that was happening I was on the phone to romain trying to sort a date for a remap, which is now 13th September, so I thought I'd take advantage of the long wait, replaced the 3" HKS silent with a 4" whiftbitz single box exhaust, I'll now be doing a few other bits and bobs before the map so romain can really work his magic on the car.

I'm looking to upgrade to 5" kit depending on if anyone's interested in this kit 4" intake kit, the pipe is black coated aluminium, it's been cleaned up since that picture was taken... can get more pictures on request

I'm just down the road to you in harlow... I take my supra to Darren at whiftbitz in the enfield branch, 15 minutes away from me, Darren knows his stuff as i'm sure others will verify this.

Got an AEM infinity

So after finding loads of new things out about my car I'm slowly sorting them one by one and I've found the end of the problems... (so far) , mapping is the last one on the list and needs sorting asap as the fueling and timings all wrong. Who are peoples recommended mappers? Romaine is a month or so wait and a bit hard to get ahold of... Greg at pro tuner is a month and a half wait.... Who else Can I try? And before anyone says anything about impatientance I just want to get a date and the car sorted before it causes any damage.

Would you sell this? or swap for a 3" hks supersilent? also tried PMing this but your inbox is full.

Was getting my box shimmed by David and he mentioned the limitations of the autobox and it's all in the torque figures... He also mentioned I can get higher HP nunbers out of the old girl but sacrifice torque which I'm OK with doing so he said the exhaust diameter can help with that, in currently on a 3" HKS super silent which if I upgrade to 3 1/2-4" what sort of figures can I see improved? Currently my setup can handle 700hp apart from the box (currently 525/550) also going to be getting a new fresh map to suit the car What I'm asking is am I correct in thinking all of this, what sort of power gains in HP can I see, and what 3 1/2"/4" systems would be recommended to me?

I'd personally suggest syvecs/link/AEM that being in order, as you've seen syvecs owns the ecu scene lately, with constant updates and upgrades coming from their team... Admittedly it's over budget but as I learnt the hard way, sometimes stretching your budget is worth it as you'll pay for it in the long run!

I make you completely right with my level of experience 500 is good for me right now as a sensible power figure... Although with the new box it's capable of 700 now so all it will need is Injectors and a remap so after a while and a complete engine refresh I'm going to put the power up so I'm going to get the parts I need ready for more power
