Hey guys, I’ve just got my supra back up and running (aside from needing a new gearbox it was going well) I have a bad set of HIDs in my car that work as and when they please, due to the placement of the box that has been eft hanging from way before I bought the car... question is I need some new ones, what has everyone got for theirs and where can I find them? Also my secondary question... as I’m going over my car I’m finding more and more imperfections every time I look, it’s a factory silver, and I’m thinking about just wrapping it the factory black colour the supras come in, will this devalue the supra If it ever comes to re-sale? Not entirely sure about it, would much rather respray but I cannot afford the price for a good job as I’ll be doing a manual conversion next month. Thanks Nick

So i was digging out my drawers and garage and i found my TurboSmart E-Boost 2 (Black & Silver) brand new still in box unused. RRP on them (What i bought for) is £515, no point it sitting around in my drawers not going to use. That sounds very interesting along with everyone else’s opinions on the 350z setup, might give that a Look into as well Not sure though as the T56 would need modifying for the gr900 kit to take the HP? How could I go about that?

So if you remember my post before I blew an auto gearbox over 2 months ago... I’ve now blown yet another one... the car was dyno’d a little over powered for the auto box but we couldn’t get into the ECU to change anything and don’t want to spend another load of money down tuning the car and not being happy with it! I’ve decided to take my car off the road and change to manual, I WAS going to do the T56 magnum gearbox going off internet prices from US but I’ve been quoted over £10k to supply and fit which is well OTT in my opinion my next question is what else is viable and available for me? That could hold up to 1000hp/lbft (to be safe) I know that obviously 160/161 would end up costing less than the t56 but still was looking for a cheaper option than the v160 if there’s any ideas? All info would help. For £10k you’re almost viable to get dog box!

On my own opinion I currently drive a single turbo auto, running too much power for the auto box which has now caused my 3rd gearbox to blow in the matter of owning the car under 5 months, the money I'll spend getting the car tuned down to reasonable power and yet another gearbox, I'll only be 2-3k off of affording a manual conversion so it really hasn't been worth buying an auto for me, wish I'd of spent the extra couple of thousand and had no problems!

I need to change discs anyway as they're warped or cracked so if I'm replacing and there's a better option for a bit more money I might aswell do it

My cars now off the road for a year or so whilst I get funds together and make the car how I want it, first time I'm going to do is fix the little bits that needs doing, 1st up is brake discs and pads... I've got the ls400 front conversion, what's the best bang for your buck pads and discs to go with on these? Any opinions would be great Thanks Nick

Thanks very much for all the input and suggestions I need to get it on a ramp and have a look, my driveway just isn't suitable to check everything I need to check, I know there was minor play on the suspension coil on my passenger side but I figured only minor couldn't be causing that

So it's unbearable and unsafe now... every time my car hits high speeds (on a private road of course) the rear end bounces side to side, I've met a few supra owners that have the same problem but don't know what it is yet as like me they haven't had the time to look for what's wrong? I've just go under the car on a jack (limited to what I can see) and I couldn't see much wrong? Has anyone had this problem and has fixed it? If so what did you do! It's driving me crazy Thanks

To both above ^ i had a talk with RM and his polishing machine has given up on itself unfortunately but he did mention lee at SRD could take this on! Going to have a word with lee about it and see if i can get it done.

Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can get a few engine bay parts polished? Things like inlet manifold, water pipes etc? Maybe even turbo housing? Phone numbers, names, websites? Anything will help

Thanks Chris good to know, I've heard about the parachutes that if you take the actual parachute out of the bag, it becomes legal as you could do an accidentally deployment of the parachute, and if that happened on the m25 in rush hour I'm sure it would be catastrophic!

Sounds good mate, what street legal drag radials do you have? And how much were they?

Has anyone on the forum got a road legal drag supra? 8 second 1/4mile etc in the UK? Just curious as American laws are vastly different to ours, and I'm interested in the legality of parachutes, drag tyres etc

Nah it's just the face of if he gauge that's battered, electrical fault in it I think + thanks everyone for the service parts list, what about downpipe issue can anyone help with that?

Right so I've got my mapping session with romain next Wednesday... So of course things start going wrong... 1st it needs a service before it which I was going to do myself but need the parts... so I've been let down with that and now need to know what's best service parts for me to use? Plugs I need to know and I'm guessing motul oil and a Toyota oil filter but how much oil? 2nd my downpipe has now decided to shit itself and blow a hole in the flexi part which for now I've just smothered in exhaust gum but it has done nothing what so ever (semi expected that but was worth a shot) 3rd boost gauge has shit itself completely 4th flat tyre yesterday (now sorted) 5th my alignment still hasn't been sorted as I got let down... Can anyone relate to this luck or am I just the unluckiest person But anyway can someone answer my question about the spark plugs and how many litres of oil i should use, also is there any way of fixing the flexi blow other than replacing downpipe completely?

I had a boost leak before but you could hear the leak, with this I can't hear anything leaking other than An exhaust blow

It is getting boost, but not it's full amount and the screamer pipe is not engaging at all.
