  1. I'd definitely be up for this again, just let me know where and when! It was good to finally meet some other Supra members
  2. Thanks Rog, I have paid and sent you a PM with the other details you requested.
  3. If I'm not too late, it'll be me +1 and I can pay now
  4. I'll put my name down for this. Are you all planning to drive from Barnstaple to Land's End?
  5. I'd be up for this, I'm yet to meet another Supra owner since the start of my ownership last year!
  6. Had you guys been previous customers of Sky/Adrian Flux? I had tried both and got insta-refused as I wasn't 25 (I'm 24). I'm now with Admiral paying £1100 for an Auto TT, again living in a decent postcode and fully clean license.
  7. Good luck to you Carnage, I had a similar budget to you and waited around 3 months before I eventually bought mine. As some have already said, just don't rush it I was seriously interested in that black one that is on PH, the only reason I didn't go to view it was because of the distance, literally opposite ends of the country
  8. Thanks both and I live in sunny Plymouth
  9. So I finally took the plunge and bought this Auto TT, absolutely loving it so far! I was a bit apprehensive about the auto box, but I'm really impressed with it. The car itself is really clean, both inside and out. It's pretty close to stock as well, which is nice as I had no prior experience with Supra's. If there are any meets in the South West, it would be great to come along and have a chat with some other Supra owners!
  10. Thanks for all of your replies. It's frustrating as I only have 2 months left on my existing policy and Adrian Flux won't insure me at all with the Supra. I just re-rang asking if there was anything I could do, however it is purely down to age and category of car. Admiral seem the way to go. I don't need the car as a daily, so I may just take day insurance until my current policy ends so I can bank the NCB before I get a full policy.
  11. I'm looking to hopefully buy my first Supra this Saturday, however I am seriously struggling to get insured. The car: Supra Twin Turbo Auto (around 10 modications, including being mapped to around 350hp) Myself: 24 years old (driving since I was 21) Live in PL postcode Completely clean licencse and have never claimed Storage/Mileage: Garaged day and night Social use only 2000 miles I tried updating my existing policy with Adrian Flux, they had no one that would insure me but didn't say specifically why (I will probably try ringing again) I then tried the following insurers: Sky Insurance - refused as I've had no prior experience of driving a high performance RWD car (I've driven an Audi RS3, Golf R and Golf GTI) Competition Car Insurance - refused as I wasn't 25 Footman James - again, refused as I wasn't 25 I then used a comparison site and Admirial quoted me £1.1k. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could tweak to get insured with a more competitive quote? Or even anyone else I could try? I'm not too sure why specialists seem to be unable to provide a quote, whereas more mainstream insurance companies can :| Cheers!
