    I'm back!

Heya Rosie! I was just browsing around the main page, and what popped up? A video of my Supra being dyno'd at.. santa pod was it? Along with Mawby's and Millhouse's cars. I'm assuming nobody knows what happened to my car... I can't for the life of me remember the name of the guy I sold it to, he was a regular on here though. Lived up north, ex(?)-policeman, his wife also had an account here from memory, definitely they were a multi-supra family once they bought mine. Rego was K946RGP but who knows if it stayed that way. Would like to know if she's still purring around somewhere or not.. I can't find the thread where I sold the car, because the for sale ones aren't archived :/

    I'm back!

Jake! Been a very long time... Oddly enough, I'm currently watching the long Amsterdam video on the 2nd monitor while I was browsing around, hence reminding me I've been meaning to resubscribe to the forum and say hello! That was an awesome trip. Would love to do it again! Things are good here, doing all the domestic type stuff, bought a house, live with my girlfriend etc.. I don't technically own a car at all at the moment, the Lancer is the missus' but I paid for half so I'm calling it mine I've been eying off all sorts of four-wheeled candy for a while though, just can't make a decision! I even nearly bought a white, twin turbo aerotop with 75,000km (50,000 miles) on the clock a few months ago, but the asking price was just a bit high (about 10k GBP converted) for what I wanted to spend just on a weekend car (since I catch the train to work). As for missing the lovely UK, I do! Mostly the people, all my old friends. I made quite a cosy life there, everything has got so real since coming back here, have to work on a career instead of a job to buy petrol and go faster stripes for my baby..... How are you doing?

    I'm back!

Hey all, That's cool, glad some of the crew is still around I've been considering a visit UK-wards maybe towards the end of the year, just wondering about getting in touch with some of the oldies, organise an old fashioned meet.. but at this stage details are sketchy. I've lived back in Australia now for 4 years or so, so lost contact with most of them.. Maybe there'll just have to be a giant mkivsupra.net gathering then instead?

    I'm back!

... but most of you won't remember me! My how things have changed around here? LOADS of new users, the club looks like it's going gang-busters, this is excellent. Are any of the old crew still around? Scooter, jive, rob oldham, ash willis, millhouse, earthrokka, jake, green supra etc? Or have they all fallen into the abyss that is this global interweb thing? Anyway, thought I'd just pop in and say hello, support the club with my 10 pounds membership even though I haven't owned a supe now for .. 5 years? Ouch!
  7. I've been kicking around the idea for years of getting a bike. The other day I took my mate's girlfriend's (notice the 's) for a ride Only a 250, but that's all I could get to start with. I still want one, but my girlfriend, and my family, would all nag me to within an inch of my life. I dunno.. So much fun, but so much hassle from everybody else
  8. Haha can always rely on Jake to bring out the high class stuff Quality pic

    Top Gear

For a list of the music used on the episode, this forum has it (and the music to pretty much every 5th gear/top gear episode for the past few years) http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php?t=8425 for this particular episode, and also has a URL to where you can get the Moonchild track I mentioned above.

I think you mean M83 - Moonchild, off the album Before The Dawn Heals Us. They used that song when Clarkson was driving over the bridge in Denmark in the McMerc when doing the race to Norway last season too.

shithole (Manor House near Camden in London is where I got mugged by some friendly chaps with knives)
  13. The 64 bit CPUs are a little pointless today, because everything is still running in 32 bit. With that said, more and more drivers etc are being written for 64 bit every day, and the next major Windows release will run much better on it (if you get the 64 bit version), so it's a good way to do a little future proofing of your PC. That said, it's hard to get a non-64 bit CPU these days If you have a little bit extra cash, a dual core (or "x2") AMD chip is money well spent for the future too, but even for current systems it's a good idea. Although applications need to be written to take advantage of the dual cores, your operating system can already, and if nothing else it means the OS and all your background tasks can run on one core, your game or whatever you're doing gets the whole other core to itself, meaning no overheads and true multitasking. Again in the future applications will be written to take proper advantage of dual core, and your PC will be so much faster for it. As for HD and motherboard, my best recommendation is a Seagate drive (get a SATA motherboard, and a SATA drive, it's much faster than normal IDE). If you're buying a new motherboard, you might wish to consider new RAM also, as the new board will undoubtedly support much faster RAM than you have if you're looking at upgrading, and it really does make a world of difference. I've had a LOT of trouble with Gigabyte motherboards, however ASUS, Abit and MSI come reasonably highly recommended. Go for one with a PCI-E(xpress) slot if you plan on buying a new graphics card to do any gaming. And lastly, the 19" Samsung 913B LCD screen is an awesome monitor if you need a new one of them

    Howzat!

Heya Si, Long time indeed! How goes? Everything is great for me, I've got a fantastic job which pays the bills and then some, I'm kicking around the idea of buying a new car (probably a 6l V8 Monaro) but I think I'll buy a house first. I was well pissed, got pulled for doing 125 in a 100 zone (that's km/h, so 77 in a 62 zone in miles). At 6am, on an empty freeway. 4 points, $285 fine, license suspended for a month. If he'd have done me for just 1km/h less I'd have kept my license.. bleh. Hope all is well with you There's a chance I might be UK-wards towards the end of the year/early next year. If so, you/me/kev/ash'n'co will have to meet up and inhale some brews -p

    A draw?!

A real draw. England needed 3 from the last ball, with 1 wicket left, and scored 2 (with a big appeal). It looked all over though, when after 15-ish overs England was 28-5. The 6th and 7th managed to put together a 130+ run partnership (from memory) before Australia took the rest of the team out in pretty short order. Australia was all out for 196 about 5 overs early.. England sent Australia in to bat. But yeah, came down to the very last ball, and Australia bowled a no ball at the start of the over... If it wasn't for that..... It was decided with 2 overs to go if it ended up in a draw, Australia and England would share the cup. I think that hexxed it Anyway, the Ashes is where the real men will play, that's what really counts.

    A draw?!

Bah! I stay up til 4am just to see that both England AND Australia are losers. With that said, Australia destroyed the English team, when suddenly they were down 5 wickets at 28 runs, but then somehow they found some feet and just dragged themselves over the line at the end. Still, it was a good game, and a good series, and if today's game is any kind of indication the Ashes series is going to be something pretty interesting!
  20. Nope, I HAD a black RZ.. I don't use any Australian Supra forums, they were all shit when I looked and actually had a Supra.. But then I also owned the Supra when I was living in the UK, I wouldn't buy one here, too many wankers drive them.. Guilt by association and all that Sorry, must be somebody else
  21. Hahah not the worst of ideas, but one I probably shouldn't follow. Still, I've got a few hours left in me yet After 5 overs they're averaging a decent rate..
  22. It's on public free-to-air tv here, but it's 11:30pm... probably should go to work tomorrow instead of watching it all night
  23. Umm.. maybe? That really depends on who you think I am doesn't it As for the cricket, we'll find out soon enough!
