What about turning the shifter into a push down to realise? [emoji848] heard good thoughts about that. It’s more about getting into reverse quicker. Thanks for the tip though.

At the bottom of the crankshaft you have bearings that sit on the conrods. They allow the conrods to move smoothly. Bottom end bearings is another name for them. Google them. About £80 for a new set. Sent from my iPhone

Mike came from the front. Best way is get a screw driver. Put handle to your ear and end ok the sump. If it's knocking loudly it's big end shells mate. Sent from my iPhone

Hate to say it but mine sounded like that due to bottom end shells worn. It's a tricky job. Took me 2 days by myself. Drop the whole sub frame and remove sump while under the car Sent from my iPhone

Usually depends how wide they are. 30mm are kinda in the middle. Wheel bearings tend to go quicker than stock but not by much. Just double check everything before fitting them. Put copper slip between them as I've had loads stick to the hub. All in all as long as they're a good make and not cheap you should be perfectly fine. Sent from my iPhone

I've spoken to at least 15 people on my problem and haven't come to a conclusion. Swapped my engine as I had bottom end knock and now it won't start. I have fuel going through the fuel rail but power isn't getting to the injectors. I've done a continuity test and everything is fine and I traced the wires back to the ECU plugs. I have a spark and the engine cranks over fine. Please help. Sent from my iPhone

Hi all. New to the forum and I need help with my GE auto. Recently replaced the engine due to a bottom end problem. Everything is connected and all the earths are clean and bolted on. There is a spark and petrol going through the fuel rail but the injectors aren't getting any power to pulse and send the petrol though. I've tested them and the left pin has no connection at all but the right one has negative when ignition off and live when ignition on. Any ideas? Just purchased a new ECU. Hope it's to do with that. Depends how quickly you want it gone and how much someone is willing to pay. They go from £300 to £700 and around £1500 for the full conversion kit. One sold two weeks ago for £380 on eBay. Sent from my iPhone
