  1. Hi Nick, welcome! Nice car mate
  2. Very wise words those mate
  3. Yeah, Id be up for an RSS feed if it was possible, and not too much work for the mods etc
  4. ARGH! Fucking wankers. Great news to hear that youve got the car back though, albeit a bit damaged. Really hope that you can fix her back up and get her on the road again. Regarding the theiving cunts - make 'em bleed mate. Really bleed.
  5. Not much needs doing to that Jurgen mate.... IMHO I'd just get rid of the spopiler and replace with a TRD/Stillen one, and get rid of the graphics and *maybe* the green headlights. Would look beautiful then in my humble opinion!
  6. Jeez, Im sorry to read this is still not been resolved mate. Is there any chance that you can get a solicitor involved? And I may have misread this, but were you actually hit by the guy who does the insurance advert??? And he was pissed?!?!? 'kinell that is mad.
  7. I know this may be a stupid question, but we are planning to move to NZ at some point and were really hoping to take the cars with us (my Supe and my g/f FTO). Does anyone know if that is possible? i.e. de-register it here in UK, and re-register it over there with a NZ plate?
  8. Congratulations matey, Im sure you'll love her as much as we all love ours Enjoy! Im sure you will!
  9. If its the same problem... the yep, mine was one of them, delayed for two months. The liner mine was loaded onto broke down at sea, and had to be towed back to port. Unfortunately Nissan and Toyota also had a load of new cars on the same ship as mine, and they took priority (new cars) over the others (used cars) and as such they took all the space on most of the other liners that DID have space free, the rest were booked up full. This created a massive backlog of cars that had to find a new ship, hence the delay. We had options to get them containered, or flown, but by the time it was arranged the importer had found space on a ship for me.
  10. Oh fucking hell. Ray, Im so sorry to read this, thank god youve come out mostly okay. I hope you get this sorted out, hopefully what Dude has said will ring true, and maybe GVN can sort her out? Hope this gets sorted satisfactorially for you mate.
  11. Wow, lovely car mate. Bet she looks tops in the flesh/metal. You must be made up! BTW nice house too!
  12. What about Chris Wilsons SMIC - is that a bit cheaper and superior to the OEM part?
  13. I know its not the quite the same... But I went on one of these Ferrari experience days a fewyears ago as a present for my birthday from my fiancee. It was by Loughborough IIRC, and though I did get to drive two ferraris and a masserati I felt we'd been ripped off somewhat. Why? Well, we got 3 (small) laps in the ferrari's and one in the maserrati, a ride in a Audi TT with a driver, a drive in a fire engine and one in a jeep with opposite driving controls. Oh yeah and a lap in VW Golf gti. For the money that was paid, I felt it was a bit wrong calling it a "Ferrari Experience" when most of the time was spent in the fire engine, and very, very little was spent in the Ferrari's.
  14. Well.... Ive always wanted a Supra, its kind of been a dream car for me. I cant remember when I first saw one, but whats alwats appealed to me is the size, the physical prescence, the sound, and being part of a niche group (as in there arent that many you see on the road) appealed to me. Plus, the supra is modable beyond belief, so I can change the innards, the exterior if need be to look like a totally different car. The rollercoaster originally started when my Rover coupe was getting high mileage, I thought that Id love to have a turbo Rover coupe. So, I saved a bit, thought about an engine conversion for £2k. However, Id heard all the problems people had with theirs getting done, then thought, "nar, Ill buy a mint coupe turbo with a £5k budget". Sure enough, one came up with stupidly low miles (ironically it had been shipped to Japan when first built, then imported back here again!). I passed up on it, so then I thought, well, if Im spending that much, maybe I can get a better car for the price. So on and on it went, considered FTO's for a few thousand more, until eventually my price bracket had gone from 5k to 12k. It was then a case waiting and picking the right dream car for me, and so I waited. Why a turbo? Well, I wanted a coupe turbo, and I always wanted a car that I could push if need be, without taking the piss. I didnt see the point in not going the "whole hog" so to speak. I guess what Im trying to say is that Id have been kicking myself if I didnt. So here I am, waited nearly 2 years in total, and Im a very, very happy man at the moment
  15. Hehehe, thanks guys Guess I should have mentioned it first time round! Located it yesterday, neatly tucked in, thanks for all your help guys
  16. Hi Mark! Yes, that helps a lot, thanks very much indeed mate. The car's great, thanks! Im sorry for my ignorance in all of this, Im still just tenatively getting used to a lot of the bits, and as youve probably guessed I havent looked at the unit yet, I was going to call to ask where it was first! The work is amazing mate, very neat, and it sounds absolutely superb. The RLTC has already saved my bacon once as well..... Thanks again for your help Mark, very much appreciated mate
  17. Thanks mate, So is it a serial to serial connection (as in a serial port on the unit to a serial port on the laptop?)... so Ill just need to buy a serial cable?
  18. Hi all Just a quicky for those with RLTC. Does anyone happen to know what type of cable/plug comes with the RLTC package? i.e the cable that connects to unit to a laptop in order to upload new .dat files, or to run the diagnostic program? Is it just (for e.g.) a serial cable, a parallel cable or something else totally different that Ill have to go to Racelogic to buy? I cant seem to find mine in the box, and if the peeps who installed it cant find it Ill probably need to buy another, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  19. All I can say is "wow". That looks absolutely amazing mate, quality. {One tip though, "photoshop" out the numberplate on the photos!}
  20. PM'd you my findings mate. Paranoia has got the better of me
  21. No worries mate, Ive just dug out the number and am trying now, but they may have finished for the weekend (as its late on Saturday now). Ill post back up as soon as I find anything mate
  22. Im having exaclty the same problem with my Intelliguard 950 + intellistart, but havent had a chance to contact installer as yet (not enough hours in the day lol). Ive read elsewhere (as you stated too!) that you need to press 2 buttons whilst the car (strangely there is no mention of this in the user manual/booklet!!) is still running and foot off the brake, the time before you use it (e.g. the night before assuming you want to use it in the morning?) but it does exactly the same as yours (i.e he lights flash). Ive just tried this again, and once you press the two buttons and when you take the key out, the turbo timer doesnt start, and the engine keeps running, making it a PITA to turn off (i.e. how can you stop the car if the key is out and the turbo timer refuses to count down? hehe). There is a click (relay probably) when I do the above actions with the buttons, and the lights on the dash flash, but when I get out, arm the alarm, leave it for a bit, the try to start the car remotely by pressing "*" the indicator lights simply flash and nothing else. Ill bell them on Monday and see what I can find out, though Id be interested if anyone else has any ideas too beforehand! Its probably something were not doing!
  23. LOL @ Lewis!!! It really wasnt me its a guy off the fto list! Must admit I laughed out loud when I read the bit about the guy trying to vacuum it out. Thanks for all the replies guys, Ill pass the info on now.
  24. Thanks matey Does sound like the best course of action, he'd best just hope no damage has been done already!
  25. Bit late, but thanks for the link merckx Very handy for the uninitiated such as myself! Thanks
