  1. It does my head in to mate. Its not as if this is a REALLY well off area, most people are on under 30k year so it surprises me that they targetted here. I tend to think they knew what they were looking for, scary shit to think that someone is eyeing your property up without you knowing though.
  2. Dont know why Im posting this, still a bit of the adrenaline pumping no doubt. Just fixing my PC and heard a commotion outside, it was "hurry up, get the fucking thing in you fucking prick, hurry up knobhead, NOW!", so took a peek out of the window and five scallies in an old cavilier with trying to get a trial bike in the back! They got it in and sped off nearly taking the front of a van off coming the other way. Phoned the police immediately, and this tallied up with a call they had recieved from the house opposite, whilst I was still on the phone the poilice car came down the road (bloody fast response that was - respect to them) and took the car details again. He came back round and gave the thumbs up so hopefully theyve got them. Turns out to be one of neighbours bikes, he's been hit a few times now, same thing again - went for the bike. Fucking cunts, wanted to run out and stop them but to be honest Id have been worried sick they would hit my house out of revenge, so thought better to leave it to the professionals. Anyway, for those of us in Maghull, Aintree, Kirkby, Prescott areas the registration of the car used to steal the bike was M420 CVW, Navy blue Cavalier. Ive seen it around a few times round here bombing round but never for a second thought anything of it. I think in future Ill be a little more vigilant. Have to say though, breaking a garage door down in broad daylight, then making loads of noise like that isnt the best way to not draw attention to yourself. Hope they go to prison with an arsehole and come out with a porthole, robbing cunts.
  3. Good man! Must say that its nice that we have people on the board who are prepared to help out fellow members on topics such as this, as well as everything else. Will definitely be something Ill be looking into in the future, not so much for insurance purposes, rather to make me a better driver so theres less chance of losing my beloved
  4. Absolutely sickened for you mate. Glad you are okay, hope this gets sorted to a successful conclusion for you.
  5. Absolutely sickening. I cant believe the state its in, I cant believe its been left like that. And people actually earn money for jobs like this..... fucking hell like... Hope that you get this sorted ASAP Yulia, the best of luck with everything.
  6. Ill take the buffer for £50 if your stil offering it Gaz?
  7. Havent got a clue with regards to areas, but if its worrying you now, you'll be on pins constantly if you go over and take it with you. Leave it mate, and as darkie says take her out when you get home. Youll be looking forward to it after the break, rather than bricking yourself that someone might damage her whilst its over there.

    Unemployed :(

Jeez .. 'kinell Jake, Im really sorry to read this. Chin up though mate, Im sure you'll get something sorted ASAP, hopefully with the mound of experience you have you wont have any problems. But I know that doesnt really help at the moment
  9. Thanks mate, Ill pop over and download it now
  10. Ah damn, missed the first one again!!! Did the same last year when it was on Extreme TV as well. Must say though, Id love to go on a Gumball.......
  11. Quality, thanks mate. Channel 419 on Sky FYI /Got a bit lost looking for it tho
  12. For the record, Sky Insurance - Yula (I thnk) said she couldnt insure me as they, or rather their underwriters predominantly deal with customers from the South. She said once the underwriters heard what city (Liverpool) I was from they kept giving over £3000 - thats with 1 years NCB and Im 28 and no points. Mad thing is the postcode Im in (L31) with the lowest risk in the entire city along with Formby.

  14. Also check out http://www.mp3search.ru - you get most songs for $0.10 each Been using it for a while now!
  15. try Soulseek mate - http://www.slsknet.org - the app isnt always dead fast at downloading, but leave it be for a while and it will - most of the time - get the job done. Also check out http://www.mininova.org and look in the music/mp3 section (Browse categories, then music), but for that you'll need a Bittorrent client with which to donwload. PM me, or post up here if you get stuck with the configuration mate!
  16. Think Crouch wil surprise a few, he has had some deft touches in the friendlies, going on mazy runs which, for a big guy, you dont expect. The rumours from the training ground says that people are impressed so far with him. Hopefully he will offer something we missed last year in front of goal - height and intimidation. As a centre half, having a 6ft 7ins striker to mark wouldnt fill me with confidence Barragan, the young spanish lad we signed, is also tipped by the same people to break into the first team this year way ahead of schedule - which is excellent considering he was bought for a few years down the line. On the whole Im disappointed we didnt strengthen the area's we needed to do so, I guess the next few months will tell just how big a cock-up, or stroke of genius :-/, that has been.
  17. We offered £12m tops. To match Newcastle's bid would be financial suicide. We were expecting Owen to publicly denounce wanting to go to Newcastle, effectively saying he only wanted to go to liverpool making it a one horse race. The £16m wouldnt make a difference then as he wouldnt go to the team anyway, and the plan was Madrid would be forced to accept the lower £12m. Check out this story for the facts behind it - the writer is the "mouthpiece" so to speak for the club, seems Mr Owen could well have come back to Liverpool, but bottled it by not saying we were the only team he wanted to come to (like Baros said he didnt want to go to Lyon who offerd £8m, thereby forcing us to let him go to his desired location - Villa - for a few million less.) Seems Owen wasnt prepared to do this, I think, in case Madrid said no, and he would be on the sidelines until Jan. Plus, his England career is obviously far too important to him, moreso than coming back to Liverpool, so ho-hum. On a positive note, he couldve done A LOT worse as the Geordies are a great bunch of people and are cracking fans - in my heart I think he'll get more adulation from them then he ever did from us - though I honestly laugh at him for joining up with Graeme Souness. I hope for the Newcastle fan's sake that Shearer, is made manager - that would wipe the smile off my face , as I think Newcastle would be quite a different, far more potent team with someone like him at the helm. Good luck to them both anyway
  18. Yuk.... Scary thing is, my mate is a body builder and he thinks women like that are lovely. But women like that frighten me Imagine being on the end of one of those whacks when they're outraged!
  19. Hmm, interesting indeed, thanks very much guys. Ill ring Trading Standards tomorrow and see what advice they can offer, cheers bud, and thanks Bobbeh, - TWOC - I didnt think of that at all.. hmm.
  20. Many thanks for the comments and the advice/opinions guys. I was starting to wonder if Id grossly over-reacted, but I guess it just feels like her property has been violated. The bodyshop isnt a biggy, its only just opened locally to myself and Im pretty certain there arent any members that local to me. However, Ill get the name and post it up so people can avoid it - it escapes me right now. The scary thing is that the owner said to my fiancee, "he's a bit thick, Ive sacked him a few times now" which leads me to think, if you think he's stupid, and you keep hiring him time and again, then who is the one that is "thick"? Then, on top of all that, knowing all this let him drive a car like that round. I guess Im tied in a way now as the police are involved, and it would be a little daft to react now. I guess we'll get the car checked out, then take it from there. However, as Nic has said its going to be veeery hard to actually prove it was done by the little scrote. She has just had chrome alloys put on which thankfully appear to be undamamged. I guess even if we just went to a solictior and asked him to write them a letter (as only solicitors can ) to put the shits up them then hopefully that will be enough. I just hope that the owner sacks this lad. Thanks again guys really appreciate the opinions.
  21. WARNING - long post! Hi all, Bit of a weird situation here. Last week my fiancee had a new Veilside bumper put on her FTO, it lasted one day before some cnut whacked it whilst it was parked in a Somerfield car park, splitting it pretty badly. No CCTV, no comeback, no note so that was a bit of a bad start. Anyway, she took it back to the place who had fitted and sprayed the bumper a day before and they said they could repair it. She agreed to leave it with them whilst we were away as the guy seems trustworthy, and he advised he would have it done by the time we got back. We went abroad the next day and returned home a week later. She went to pick the car up on the day we returned. When she arrived the car was gone, and she asked where it was. The owner advised that he had had to take the car home every day as recently their had been damage done to cars left in the yard by vandals (this was later confirmed by the police). As such he wanted it to be safe (fair enough) and to leave her with a full tank of juice before she picked it up, and had sent an employee out to get it for her. We are willing, reluctantly, to give him the benefit of the doubt here. Anyway, there she is waiting for it to return when she hears a loud roar, screeching of tyres and see's every car owners worst nightmare - it was her car being driven by some 18 year old spotty fucking oik who had gone in it to get petrol. He roared up, out of control round the corner, and slammed on obviously not realising who's car it was. When he got out the little fuck didnt even apologise, then tapped the owner on the shoulder and beckoned him towards the back. The owner was very angry with the lad - obviously - and it gets worse. Turns out the spotty oik had also been pulled by the police whilst getting petrol, so that should give you an idea how it was being driven. Scary thing is, that this obviously hadnt stopped him driving it like a twat. TBH I wanted to go round and kick fuck out of the lad, but we decided to do it properly and went to see the police to try and press charges. They were really nice, but advised there wasnt an awful lot they could do as the lad was insured to drive the car through his employment, but they would look into it and pay the spotty oik a visit at the bodyshop. My fiancee was told not to worry about what was said by the police to the spotty oik, and that he had likely been pulled as bobbys on the beat had seen his erractic driving (the officer actually thought she knew who had radio'd in), theyve thought there is no way a lad that young can get insured on a car like that, and radio'd through to a patrol car to pull him up. I am so fucking angry, I want to go round and just punch fuck out of his face until he pisses himself. I want to fucking humiliate him. I personally have put a lot of money into that car for her for it to be nice for her (long story) and Im taking this very personally. Im planning to take her car to a mechanic who had it to do work a few days before we went away, and to ask him to check it out mechanically to see if there is anything wrong now, that wasnt wrong then. If so, its highly likely that this cunt has caused the damage, and as such we can go to a solicitor and look at taking him/bodyshop etc. to court. Im sorry for the long story, but Im at my wits end. I really dont want to end up in a cell again - Im known to them from last year for an incident and hence it would be a silly thing to do. Sadly Im almost certain thats what will happen if I go round on the bounce. But at the same time I dont want to let this cunt get away scott free. I want to lose him his job at the very least, and if I can, sue him for any damage. There is damage to the mud-guard, but the owner, who was very apologetic did order two new ones for her for both sides, and offered to pay for a valet - there was empty coke cans in the back and sweet wrappers - a total lack of respect for her probably because she is a nice girl. Its exactly because of this I want to go round and shake the spotty oik up, because he thinks there will be no comeback from it because she is "just a girl". She looks after that car like its part of her, has an expensive car cover, spends loads on it to keep it tip-top. I know youll probably say its only an FTO, but its her FTO and she looks after it very well. Too see someone doing the above has made my blood boil. Soooo, a bit of advice if you wouldnt mind please guys, Do I take him/the company to court, go to a solictior, or go round and suggest the only way this gets sorted is if he pays for and sprays/fits a new bumper, then we wont take it any further? I know thats unreasonable, I feel stupid writing it, but thats how I feel. Or should we just drop it?
  22. Thought three (3) was okay, I was lucky in that I never had that many dropped calls, but I was very disappointed with the "walled garden" internet access. You couldnt even use the phone as a modem to dial out to the internet as 3 had locked that down as well. Idiots. Especially when the phone I bought, the A835, was advertised as internet ready by 3. Well it was, its just that they only let you browse their own content, and not the outside internet. Talk about misleading advertising, f****s Perhaps it should have been advertised as (3's own) "intranet ready" instead! However I unlocked the phone and popped an O2 simcard in instead and got the full features out of the phone on the O2 PAYG network. I believe loads of people had problems cancelling their contract (though in fairness I didnt after 12 months) and I found it difficult to get anything through to the guys in Mumbai - probably because of my accent - but then Ive never had the same problem from an British/Irish based call centre. Just one of those things I guess! I wouldnt go back, but loads of people love the cheap line rental and dont use the net on their phone and think 3 are great. Finally, Id also advise you to check out the 3G forum before making any decisions on a 3G mobile and operator. Im with Orange now, and using a SPV C500 which I think is great. Internet access via Internet Explorer, MSN Messenger ready and loads of useful apps - its a "windows smartphone". Its on a PAYG contract and I bought it from a place called http://www.mobiledealer.co.uk a few months ago. Orange (or Typhoon who is the phone manufacturer) have brought out the C550 now which supercedes the last one, though I dont think this is available on PAYG tarrif, IIRC I was lucky to get the C500 on PAYG at the time for £139.99. Its currently going for a penny off £165 at the same place at the moment.
