  1. You need to pay a membership fee to be able to pm people and access certain parts of the forum. Make sure you take your time looking, good luck.
  2. A few years ago the supra was probably one of your best Value for money cars when it came to horsepower. A few grand for ~400hp was great. Now it isn’t, and the only people buying them are the ones who really like supras.
  3. Yeah. If you're interested I'll weigh it up and find out what the postage is.
  4. UK spec front calipers + 4 caliper bolts. These previously failed an MOT before being unseized and put back on. They work, but I wouldn't put them on before refurbishing them as you don't really know how long they'll last before seizing up again. UK Spec discs - Still got plenty of life left Pads - The pads in the calipers at the moment have got another few thousand miles in them at least. I also have some unused front pads that I bought last year but never put on, just have a bit of that orange surface rust stuff because I accidentally left them out in the rain. I tossed the brake lines the bin Looking for £200 plus postage, or you can collect from me in medway if you're unfortunate enough to live here. Please be aware that I may not be able to post anything ASAP because of work, of course I won't take payment until I'm ready to send them off anyway. I have no pictures because as you'd imagine they look pretty crappy. Happy to provide pictures anyway if someone wants though. Potentially sold for now

    Buying cars

Something that’s always bothered me is the massive amount of cars with dodgey mots. I don’t blame people doing it for emissions reasons as most of us on here are doing but. It looking through a cars history to see that it failed for massive amounts of corrosion was passed with flying colours the next day is suspicious. Especially when someone is selling s car for less than what the welding would cost.
  6. I’d consider things like the Golf GTDs to be hot hatches.
  7. Warranty (possibly) I’m sure the new supra is going to be a good car, but surely it wouldn’t have been an issue to supply them with 400hp from factory.
  8. Same shit happened to the mustang. Cheap as anything over there, but about 40k without all the options over here.
  9. Surely you’ve got two of the cleanest UKtt6’s in the country?
  10. I know someone who is looking for mirrors mike. I’ll tel him to pm you
  11. It doesn’t feel like there is a huge weight difference. Maybe a couple of kilos lighter per headlight.
  12. Yeah. I’ve never even seen a facelift pair of glass headlights.
  13. I see a tremendous amount of twats on the road every day and there is never a policeman in sight. Turns out they’d rather nick someone for doing 27mph.
  14. Sorry mate. Only just got them. Need to put them on before my Vurrent brakes seize up and kill me lol.
  15. They usually don’t show the engine bay. They’re hoping people will take the risk and spend a few grand hoping the engine survived.
  16. You can just about make out the plate on the co part site, it’s that car. That’s a huge shame.
  17. Secondary damage: minor scratches £47,000 Did stevie wonder do the write up for this?
  18. I'm not in north london but I have the 356mm discs and calipers in a box at the moment. I can take a few measurements of the calipers if you like? Might help work out if your wheels will fit.
  19. I bought one from keron at extreme performance about a year ago. Think it was £190.
  20. It’s a shame isn’t it. There was a nice green supra near a friend of mine. Had a uk speck hood so I’m guessing it was a uk spec. Just sat behind a bunch ( like 8 cars) of old jags and 7 series BMWs. The owner wasn’t interested in selling.
  21. Thanks. The cars running great now. Now I believe I saw a post from a member in here who had compiled a bunch of adverts for supras. Honestly can’t remember what thread I saw it in, but if you come across it that should help if he picked up on any aerotops or NA-T cars. I know someone who has just done a NA auto - manual TT swap, and had a respray some time last year. I’ll ask him how his insurance has been for him as that’s oretty close to yours I think. Minus the engine rebuild and aerotop
  22. The way I try to value my car is to look st cars with similar mileage and spec and see what big jobs I’ve had done that they haven’t. Just for examole I have a TT auto UK spec on 125,000 miles. My car has also had an engine rebuild less than 1000 miles ago. So for that reason, IF someone posted the same car in the same condition bodywork wise without an engine rebuild I’d probably price mine up 1.5k -2k more than that one. Sure I spent more on the rebuild but oh well.
  23. Your insurance company will likely operate in one of two ways Personally, mine will pay me based on the going rate for supras at the time. So I’d have to gather information from adverts. Once my car has had some more work done I’ll orobably aim for an agreed valuation. For an agreed valuation, You’ll basically have to make a case about why you think k your car is worth what you think it is. Definitely have your receipts to hand as it goes to show how well maintained the car is. You don’t necessarily get to say “ I spent 4k on a respray so my car is worth 4K more than someone else’s” but it helps. Something like a fresh respray and engine rebuilt is a good way to justify what you’re asking for. Your insurer may even want the opinion of forum members. Some people find the whole “what’s it worth” threads annoying but if it’s a good indication as to what people would pay for your car, make a thread. Edit: sorry for any poor spelling, text is super small on my phone
  24. Great I’ll take it. pM your PayPal over and I’ll give you my address.
  25. is This for the platic panel or just the leather around the stick itself?
