  2. Very interested. Have you got any predicted costs and an expected time scale of when the kits will be ready to purchase?
  3. I have just fitted Chris Wilson fast road brake pads to my Supra. I'm very pleased so far. In addition I also fitted new OEM brake discs, Goodridge braided hoses and Motul RBF600 fluid. The improvement is massive over the old DBA disc and EBC pad setup.
  4. It was my first time at SupraPod and I really enjoyed it, especially the drifting. Thanks to the guys who took me and a couple of friends out. Thanks also to everyone who organized and helped out at the event. Will there be a SupraPod next year?
  5. Booked two members and one non-member tickets. First SupraPod I would have attended so looking forward to it!
  6. If you're struggling to find a set of CT20s, I have a used set in the garage. One is fine and holds boost, the other needs a rebuild as the compressor wheel sheared off. Neither leak oil though, so if you're handy with a spanner maybe you could make a decent pair out of all four?
  7. I'd rather have the extra space currently over making a little more money by keeping them until next year, and of course they might not even increase in value.
  8. That's awesome! Thanks very much for the detailed analysis, much appreciated.
  9. Interesting comments. I have a set of 17s with centre caps in need of a refurb and was thinking of putting them up for sale, simply to make some space in the garage. I was going to ask £300 which I think is about right going by the comments here.
  10. Has anyone had any experience with the Gizzmo MS-IBC V3? I have been recommended one by Garage-D, but having never heard of the company before, I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them. From what I have found online they seem good, but I can't find any evidence of them being used on a Supra so far.
  11. Thanks! I have had a fair offer from a club member, but I need to find a suitable FMIC kit first before I can do anything. I'll see if they're still interested when the time comes, otherwise it'll be for sale on here and eBay. Thanks again for all the replies.

  14. Thanks for the replies. Close to £450, but that is new and I can't understand why anyone would pay that amount of money when for not a great deal more you could buy a FMIC kit? This might be the easier route and at BPU power level I would have no benefit by fitting a FMIC, but I prefer the aesthetics of a FMIC. Done! Once I've paid for membership is there anything else I need to do?
  15. Thanks for the replies. I will go with a new kit then. I have had someone message me who is interested in the HKS piping, does anyone know what the kit would be worth secondhand?
  16. Possibly. I was investigating to see which route would be best. If the piping could be modified easily I was simply going to buy some more silicone joiners and a FMIC rather than a full kit. If this isn't possible, or would be a pain in the arse to do, then I will purchase a kit. With this in mind, if anyone has a FMIC kit for sale let me know.
  17. I will be upgrading my standard SMIC to a FMIC soon. I already have a HKS hard piping kit installed with the standard SMIC. Does anyone know what the differences are between this hard piping kit and one that will fit a FMIC – could I reuse it with some modifications?
  18. Thanks once again. The car already has Goodridge braided brake hoses fitted, and I will be changing the brake fluid for Motul RBF600 as I don’t know when it was last replaced. I will fit OEM brake discs along with Chris Wilson brake pads and see how I get on. I did like having drilled and grooved discs for aesthetics, but performance is more important.
  19. Fantastic – thanks! I have calculated a set of genuine Toyota discs to be circa £270; that is a lot cheaper than the aftermarket alternatives, but is there no performance benefits to having one of the aftermarket alternatives? I would have fitted the DBA discs again, but I am not happy with the hairline cracks that have started to appear.
  20. Where are people buying their OEM brake discs from? Thanks again for the replies.
  21. I have ordered a set of Chris Wilson brake pads – thanks for all the replies. I will update on how I get on with them. The rest of the brake system on my Supra needs refreshing. I will be flushing the brake fluid through with Motul RBF600, and I was also planning to skim the brake discs before fitting the new brake pads, however after taking the wheels off to measure and make sure the discs are still within tolerance, I noticed some small hairline cracks around the drilled holes on the disc, and thus would now rather replace than skim. What discs would people recommend that offer a performance benefit over standard?
  22. Thanks for all the replies. I had seen Chris Wilson brake pads mentioned a lot before posting this thread, but hadn't seen how or where to buy them, so thanks for posting the link. I have emailed Chris.
  23. I am new to the forum but have owned my Supra for a little over nine months now. I need to fit new brake pads soon and wanted to get some recommendations of what everyone else has fitted. The car is an import but has fitted UK-Spec brakes with Goodridge braided hoses, EBC Red Stuff pads, and DBA slotted and drilled discs. I don’t find the EBC pads that confidence inspiring, is there a better alternative? Thanks.
