  1. So firstly I washed it down ( first & second pictures) and then once washed I then sprayed grey rust preventing primer over the floor pan obviously to prevent future rust. (3rd, 4th pictures)
  2. So yesterday I started on the passenger side of the car flooring, which looks a lot better than it previously did that's for sure!
  3. Well I brought the car like this so just sorting it out, and that's what i was thinking.. Sound deadening flooring before the carpet is layed down.
  4. Okay thanks mate. I'll look into buying a OEM carpet hopefully with underlay underneath!
  5. To install a new carpet into the car, do i just Place it straight over the metal work?? It also Has these weird swirls that look a lot like filler (Circled in the pictures) on the floor of the car.. Should I just place the new carpet straight over Them? Cheeeeeers
  6. Thanks mate! I am definitely seeing this through! Love a project and this will keep me busy for a hell of a time!
  7. Quick update. So the car (drivers side) floor pan is now a matte white with a gloss topcoat to finish. That's today done, as the footie is now on!
  8. So I removed the petrol filler cap and the boot release popper from the base before painting. I applied a layer of grey rust preventing primer. Soon to be sprayed over with a white base coat of primer then finally top it off with a top coat of a gloss white finish, to match the rest of the car. This is only the drivers side, I still have the passenger side and the rear seat housing to clean up, and spray. So far so good!
  9. So yesterday you might of remembered the floor inside the car being all rusty and dirty, so today I have cleaned out the interior floor, washed it all down, and applied a grey coat of rust preventing primer on the base of the car to start with.
  10. Yes it is a good feeling already bringing the paint work back to life! Starting with the preparation with the inside of the car now and will keep you updated.
  11. Yes definitely. Will be posting more pictures tomorrow following the sanding down, primer and gloss white floor base inside the car.
  12. Loving the quote! I haven't really got a clue how to do half of the stuff to re build the car, but that's what projects are for! Will keep posted and more photos to follow tomorrow!
  13. So that's today all sorted and also brought it a cover... As it has no doors at the minute. Tomorrow I will sand and spray rust preventing primer throughout the metal work within the car and prepare it for a gloss white finish. Will keep you all posted!
  14. So today I have taken everything interior wise out of the car, removed all panels and seats that were left once it was broken down and gave it a wash to see what the paint was like underneath, surprisingly it's immaculate! Obviously apart from the front end!
  15. Welcome to my Supra TT build I brought a White Supra (front end damage). Very little internally within the car as you can See by the pictures, but I got it for a bargain price and it's perfect for a project as its a rolling Shell. Going to be getting the front end "jigged" out So that it is perfectly straight and inline then I Can commence with the engine bay Respray. For now I am going to be re spraying the interior Of the car with rust preventing primer and finishing It off with a gloss white to match the exterior of the Car. Before carpets etc get laid down. So the shell arrived yesterday looking in a sorry state But on the plus side.. It looked like a scene from the Fast and furious, arriving on the back of a truck!
