Mike, don't know how easy this would be, but could the rear windscreen be scanned as it's intact, so it can be remanufactured by a company like Pilkingtons for example?

No. As this thread is about energy costs our wood is free and carbon neutral as we've grown it, or trees that have come down because of disease/dangerous, laurels grow like crazy and reduce them, 5 years later you can harvest them again. besides it's colder up north!
