  1. Will continue trawling through, found one guy who used a 18x9.5J ET38 on the front... http://www.mkiv.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?315755-Finally-time-for-my-SUPRA&highlight=rota+grid+drift ...with bigger brakes and a 245/40/18 but still nothing on the 18x9.5J ET30. If anyone knows this off the top of their head and is willing to save me some pain please let me know
  2. Haha no I'm using chrome on desktop at work
  3. Your link doesn't work Frank. Did you use any accents or hyphenations in your search?
  4. Honestly I trawled through for about 4 hours last night searching on both here and supraforums and thought I'd just ask specifically on a new thread... I think some people have ran similar fitments to what I want, but not the same wheel design.
  5. I've already used willtheyfit but that can't tell me about the bigger brake clearance, or whether the fronts will rub on the arch, but thanks anyway Dunk!
  6. I'm 99% settled on some wheels (finally). I'm going to get the Rota Grid Drifts inspired by this image: They are actually 19's on this car, but I'm after the concave effect on the front wheels. I understand most Rota Grid Drift packages to fit the Supra are 18x8.5J ET35 for the fronts and 18x10J ET38 for the rear, but the fitments on these fronts don't have the concave aspect. My questions is... has anyone fitted 18x9.5J ET30 onto the front and will these clear the bigger stock front brakes? I'll be sticking with the rear as above at 18x10J ET38. I'll most likely be getting 245/40/18 tyres for the front and 275/35/18 on the rear. I want to keep my arches stock but I plan to add coilovers in the future for a slight drop in ride height. Excited to get these ordered!
  7. Definitely interested in this, dropped you a PM! Edit: tried to pm you mate but your storage is full... Definitely need one of these sorted, I'm based in Stevenage, Herts where about in London are you? Any issues fitting one of these to a J-Spec? If it's easier, PM me your number and can give you a call/WhatsApp
  8. Interested in this, will keep a close eye. Seems like a bargain for that SKF pulley! Is that definitely the correct one for the 2JZ-GTE pre facelift?
  9. Had a friendly middle aged chap in a Vogue SE pull up next to me yesterday and say 'Lovely classic that is fella, good job!'. I thanked him for his kind words with a thumbs up and let her loose on the slip road onto the A1 Get a lot of people at petrol stations and supermarkets come up and have a look whenever I'm out in it, always get the nod from other Jap cars too. Always get comments in traffic when I'm driving it to work in London as well, one guy who had an Evo 5 in storage and it inspired him to drive it more! Same as ben with the younger chaps, 'Dude is that a friggin' Supra?!'.
  10. Bump! Still looking for some stock goodness

  12. Some cool cars in here! Quite a few mile munchers too! Mondeo's are meant to be awesome for this I hear. I have always had a soft spot for these, and I think I would get one in a heartbeat- but do they still have the rust issues as much as the MK1 and MK2?
  13. There are some diverse daily drivers here, it's great to see how varied they are! GT86- I've never actually considered one of these, but I'm now going to look, cheers Chris! Range Rover- I'm confident any newer ones will be decently reliable, I'd get the TDV8 and the aluminium body should mean no rust worries. I hear Lexus' are very comfortable and importantly, reliable. I've never driven one though! Really like the idea of a pick up truck like the Hilux/Raptor/Navara etc, how are these on longer journeys Samurai? The S60 D5 comes up all the time on Pistonheads. Pre-DPF too, I like the idea of one of these. Electric is off the cards for me, unless it's a Tesla which means the best part of £40k for the 300+ mile range. Cam27, is your A3 the manual or DSG? Never seen the Grandis before Annabella, but looks like a very spacious and economical daily! Keep them coming
  14. There's something satisfying about cheap motoring, I really enjoy driving my late grandfathers 306 around (even though I've replaced almost everything- head gasket, clutch, new suspension all around including rear beam, calipers etc). I have no doubt it will surpass 200k and maybe even 300k! Just need something a little more wafty/automated for the longer drives. What year was your RR just out of interest? Good work on the A4, that's been mile munching! Which Cayenne would you go for? The last A6 Avant I went in was the black edition, it was only a 2 litre TDI but it was exceptionally smooth and comfortable! Those VAG 1.6 TDI's are super efficient aren't they, are they the bluemotion engines? There's a possibility I'll be having shorter commutes sometime in the future but I'd still want the comfort/luxury aspect when I drive back to the Midlands up to 2x a month, hence why a diesel isn't off the cards!
  15. Hi Karl, Would I need an arch roll front/rear to get these on my stock Supra? Kind regards, Simon
  16. After selling my M135i due to lack of use because I got the Supra, I'm currently running an inherited Peugeot 306 HDi with 192k on, and commuting 80 miles a day (round trip) is becoming increasingly difficult as it's manual and has no cruise control. Whilst I'm never going to get rid of the 306 due to sentimental reasons I'm intrigued to see what you guys run on daily basis, that is of course, unless you daily your Supra! (If anyone has any experiences on the following cars or has any suggestions these are under my consideration: Range Rover Vogue SDV8, Golf R DSG, A8 4.2 TDI, Tesla Model S (85), would really like adaptive cruise next to take the sting off the A1 and whenever I drive back to the Midlands)
  17. Contact Mk4Gaz on here, he made mine for me!
